[Speaker 2] There was talk about something about knowledge and the feats, and then we were talking about actual legs and feats, and I got, I think I got confused, but there was a certain number of feats that had to do with something, and can you explain that? [Speaker 1] Let's see if I can find my notes. I know what happened was we had different, as I recall, we had different explanations of what those two words meant. [Speaker 2] Were those feats like deeds, like activities of some kind? [Speaker 1] Oh, not F-E-A-T, but F-E-E-T. [Speaker 2] Was it all, oh, it was all about feats, like the feats and legs, yeah, but sometimes legs meant activities, the things you do. [Speaker 1] Like, for example, when it was two, it was the extraordinary trainings of morality and concentration, right? Wisdom was the extraordinary training of wisdom, of course. [Speaker 2] Because then it was two legs, so that made sense, but I lost track of what happened with the earlier feats. [Speaker 1] Yep, yep, let me see if I can find that. [Speaker 2] You're not supposed to say plural with feats, I guess. Are you sure it wasn't F-E-A-T-S, feats? [Speaker 1] I'm pretty darn sure, yeah, because it could also mean legs. [Speaker 3] Isn't that why they, we went kind of back and forth between legs and feet, because it has the same meaning? [Speaker 1] Yeah, at least that's the way I took it. Yeah, me too. Let's see, we were in Vasubandhu. [Speaker 2] Hi Venerable Gyalse, how are you? [Speaker 1] Oh, I can't hear you. You're muted, Gyalse. [Speaker 3] Oh, sorry, I'm tired and ready to go to bed. [Speaker 2] It's not late enough for bedtime, is it? [Speaker 3] I know, it's not. [Speaker 2] I hate that. [Speaker 3] Do I look green? Yes, you do. That's very strange. [Speaker 1] Look at what your setting is on your monitor. [Speaker 3] That's where I'm going, on the monitor. I don't even know how to do the monitor, so I'll have to figure that out. Click the little apple, then go to preferences. That's on the screen. This is on my big screen, not on my... Oh, I see, yeah. [Speaker 1] Yeah. [Speaker 3] I can't help you there. [Speaker 1] And I'm not easily finding this, Alex. Oh, wait a minute. Okay, intelligence and feet are the eight parts themselves, causes for a perfectly enlightened being, what's the knowledge, the correct view of the eight parts of the Arya path, and the leftovers are the feet, so all the other seven parts of the Arya path. Jake's running trains, pulling someone by the nose. [Speaker 2] That was the part, I think that part about the Arya paths, that was the part that I... That didn't make sense? ...got lost on. [Speaker 1] That you got lost on, or that didn't make sense? [Speaker 2] Yeah, I wasn't sure what exactly that was referring to, what parts of the Arya path. And so again, those were the feet that you walk on, not activities that you did, feats, F-E-A-T-S. [Speaker 1] Right, they're feet, F-E-E-T. And so they would be the other seven parts of the Arya path that were discussed in Ben's text. [Speaker 2] Uh-huh. [Speaker 1] Right. [Speaker 2] Okay, so that's why I lost track, because I hadn't heard that previous explanation. [Speaker 1] That's the one that has right livelihood, right concentration, right... Have you heard those eight? They're not... Sometimes they're talked about on the... There are eight on the Hinayana path and eight on the Mahayana path, I think they're different, and that's what Ben's text was talking about. They're not Bhumis, I guess? No, they're not Bhumis. [Speaker 2] I don't think I've run across them before, but I will. You don't have to teach them now, unless you feel like it. [Speaker 1] I don't have that text in front of me, I could go find it. [Speaker 2] That's up to you, you might like to go to bed. I'm sure it will come up again, now I'll have it on my radar too. [Speaker 1] Yeah, yeah, I do. [Speaker 2] So listen for those. [Speaker 1] Or even, was that today? Yeah, Ben's text was this morning. [Speaker 2] I could go back and watch the YouTube video. [Speaker 1] Yeah. [Speaker 2] Yeah. Okay, thank you so much. [Speaker 1] Oh, my pleasure. I hope it was somewhat helpful. [Speaker 2] It was. Good. [Speaker 1] Any other questions? Yay, everyone perfectly understands the Dharma, it's so incredible. [Speaker 2] Thank you for being here, willing to answer questions. [Speaker 1] Yes, well, may the clarity of this one little bit serve as a removing all misunderstanding and confusion about the way the world exists, the way that love will pull us out of this trauma that we're in. Okay, have a good night. [Speaker 2] Thank you for that dedication. All right, good night. [Speaker 1] Good night. [Speaker 2] Nice to see you, Venerable Gyatso, even if you're green. Or especially because you're green. Maybe I'm just green because I'm a green student.
