[Говорящий 1] (0:00 - 5:38) Okay, let's meditate. Please relax your face. Blow your nose, clear your throat. Turn off the cell phone that you're not supposed to have. Relax your mouth. Pull the top of your head up towards the ceiling. Push down your shoulders. Join the shoulder blades. Puff out the chest. And please start to watch your breath. Please start to count your breath. Out-breath, first half. In-breath, second half. See if you can count to ten without thinking of something else. But keep your face soft as you concentrate. Now I'd like to do together the six preliminary practices, especially the fifth one. Try to make some good new karma before meditating. Try to clean out some old bad karma before meditating. [Говорящий 2] (5:45 - 5:56) So first please imagine that your teachers walked into the room. [Говорящий 1] (5:58 - 15:50) They sat down in front of you. I like to call it knee-to-knee. So close you can feel the warmth of their body. You can smell a beautiful fragrance from their body like a flower. You can hear them breathing slightly. And please try to think of one thing that you admire about your teacher. This is a mental prostration, mental bowing down. Something about them which you would like to learn yourself. Then please make an offering to your teacher. In your sky with flowers and offer this. Another tradition is to offer them the nicest thing you did to someone yesterday. Then we clean the old bad seeds. Think about yesterday. What's the worst thing you did yesterday? Maybe you got angry at somebody or you said something bad to somebody. And in your mind tell your lama, tell them what you did, and this will clean it. Then think about the nicest thing you did yesterday, the best karma you made yesterday. In your mind tell your lama all the details. Do a good coffee meditation. And ask for teachings today. Ask for teachings from your teacher. Ask for teachings from your friends. And ask for teachings from the people you don't like. Then finally ask your teachers to stay. [Говорящий 2] (15:55 - 16:01) Ask your Dharma friends to stay close. [Говорящий 1] (16:03 - 18:56) Ask the people that you don't like to stay close and help you to be more patient. And please come back to your breath. And slowly open your eyes and stretch. So that's the traditional preparation for meditation. It's part of what we call GYOR CHOS. GYOR CHOS means preparation for meditation. Sometimes we call it meditation song. Then there are many GYOR CHOS texts. The most famous one for us was written by the teacher of the lama who wrote the Lam Rim that we are studying. And because it's so important, and because this teacher Pabongka Rinpoche is always talking about it, we translated it into English. And I taught it a few months ago in Phoenix. But lucky for you we didn't quite finish. So, Alejandro and myself, we made a plan. We are going to add the Spanish to it. And Xia Liang has translated the Chinese. So, we're going to make the big three languages. [Говорящий 2] (18:56 - 18:59) Chinese, Spanish, English. [Говорящий 1] (19:00 - 19:48) We're going to try to make one GYOR CHOS book. And those people who don't know Spanish should learn Spanish. Those people who don't know Chinese should learn Chinese. Okay, at least a little bit. And I'll teach that at the end of the week. No pressure Gina. Where's Gina? She doesn't sleep anyway. Thank you for doing that. Gracias Gina.
