[Speaker 2]
Okay, settle down. Come to your breath. Come to your breath.

Be very still. Don't move.

[Speaker 1]
Please bring to mind your favorite addiction. Like, what addictions do you have?

[Speaker 2]
The obvious ones are alcohol and drugs.

[Speaker 1]
The less obvious ones are talking, sex, sex on the internet, the internet itself, food, certain kinds of unhealthy food. If you had to say, what was your most serious addiction, then what is that addiction? I would define addiction as something that you do habitually that is perhaps harmful to your health or your happiness.

And you can't control it, you can't stop it. You lie to yourself. You think you have to do it.

You make up crazy reasons why you should be doing it. But deep down you know it's not good or healthy for you. And if you're really honest with yourself you just can't stop.

A little bit of it may be pleasant, but you're unable to stop at the point where it's pleasant and you go further and you make yourself tired or unhappy. What addiction do you have? What is your number one addiction?

[Speaker 2]
We all have something.

[Speaker 1]
When was the last time that addiction took you over? An impulse to do something that you know wasn't really healthy? Try to remember the last time this addiction played itself out with you.

Come back to your breath. And then when you're ready, open your eyes.
