[Speaker 1] iddhim 57. I tried to find a photo. Okay, I started out in my iddhim career by picking photos of country roads with ditches on each side because of an experience I had trying to teach a monk to drive in a country road in India, and he found both of the ditches. Then I thought, oh, I should update it and put barriers on each side, right Michael, that we're gonna build here. You know, because some of the new roads are kind of, if you are talking to somebody you're gonna go to Nirvana and they're gonna need guardrails. So I tried to find a photo with two guardrails. Then I saw this photo and I said, oh, it doesn't have two guardrails. But then I thought, it's better. It's a better photo. Okay, tell me why. Good. [Speaker 2] Yeah, good. [Speaker 1] So which, so there's two extremes. There's two wrong ideas and they're opposite. Okay, and the middle way is the goose. Goose like the middle way. Geese like the middle way. Okay, so if you had to make up a story about this photo, what would the rock be? You don't want to crash into the rock. Yeah, things exist the way they seem. They're hard. They're solid. Okay, my husband has to be the way he is. Too lazy to wash the dishes regularly and happily. Okay, I'm not saying he's that way, I'm just saying an example. Okay, so you know, that's kind of a hard husband, like a cliff rock. Okay, he's that way, nothing's gonna change him. You know, I'll just have an unhappy marriage. Okay, or less happy than if I could change him. Okay, so that's called the YOD PA'I LTAR. What's that? [Speaker 2] Yeah, the extreme that things exist, meaning the idea that things exist the way they look. So, that's the rock. [Speaker 1] Okay, what's on the other side? Thin air. Okay, you're gonna drop to the beach or something. Okay, just empty air. What extreme is that? [Speaker 2] MED PA'I LTAR, which means if things don't exist the way they look, they don't exist at all. [Speaker 1] Okay, and therefore I can do whatever I want, because I'm a great tantrica and I understand emptiness. I can do any kind of mischief I want. Okay, alright, two extremes. Got it?
