[Speaker 1] What's the... Tongue-tied zone. Where? Tongue-tied zone. [Speaker 2] Okay. [Speaker 1] That's good. The camera can be zoomed in to the stage. Can you hear us on the line? It's okay? Okay. How do you translate the name? Do you translate it as keeps taking? Keeps taking on. Okay. That's one word. Do you add anything in between like this? No. Okay. Keeps taking on. Okay, got it. [Speaker 2] What that means is a big story. Yeah. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Schoen Song Tower. [Speaker 1] Good morning, Nick. Hi. I know you didn't say that to me. We can hear you. Yes. Very good. We hear you. Can you hear us, Stanley? I don't think you can. Oh. No. The tech team is working on it. I'm confident it's your side. Well, you guys are looking great. That's true. Those are some very handsome microphones. Yes, beautiful, beautiful, official, very business. Their smiles look like they're hearing us, but I think they're just happy people. He's going to say a few more words. Okay. That's nice that they want to hear us. Let's go with it. Sweet fellas. We want to hear them, too. [Speaker 2] Yeah, we love hearing you guys. He said that they don't hear us. [Speaker 1] I understood that. Oh, that's good. Zoom? Zoom? [Speaker 2] I know that word in Chinese. We want to hear. [Speaker 1] Good. See, this is why we're mixed nuts, because we can just figure out languages on the fly. That's right. You study enough languages. Oh, there it is. It's like a babble fish. He doesn't understand the microphone. Your Chinese is so good. It's getting better. I know the word Zoom. Microphone. Can you guys hear us? Oh, yeah. Suddenly, it's very good. Oh, okay. Is it clear? A little echo. Echo? A little bit, yes. Much better now? Yes. Okay. Our echo is better. Can you hear Geshe-la? Hello. Boo-boo. Oh, yes. He could be a little bit louder. It's pretty clear, but not very loud. What does this mean? This means turn the volume louder. Turn it up. Oh, turn it up. Oh, okay. This way. Okay, okay. Got it. Hello. Hello. Boo-boo. Boo-boo. Boo-boo. [Speaker 2] Hello. [Speaker 1] What's you? Can you hear pretty well, or not? Hello. Boo-boo. Getting better. Pretty well, pretty well. Nick. Yes, sir. Can you guys still hear us? Oh, they can't hear us anymore. [Speaker 2] We're less important. [Speaker 1] Maybe I can start the homework. [Speaker 2] Yeah, let's try. Okay. [Speaker 1] Nick and Ben, if you can hear me, I can start the homework first while our tech is working on the parts. Okay. All right. Okay. Okay. Let's start. I'm going to translate myself also. Okay. Okay. Let's start. I'm going to translate myself also. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. We have to do pure in person concentration. Okay. OK, let's take a look at the homework we did last time. These homeworks are mainly for us to review together. Because many friends may have forgotten what happened last time like me. So, this homework is mainly for reviewing. I believe many of you, like me, you forgot what happened already. So we can catch up together. Why is the number of categories 18? Why not 19, 20, but 18? I think it works now. We can hear you guys. Too much. [Speaker 2] We're waking up the whole audience today. [Speaker 1] Just yell. So there's six senses. [Speaker 2] And in those six senses, there's the objects, there's the sense for certain, and the third six has something to do with the person's feet. [Speaker 1] Yeah, the traditional way to divide 18 is six sense organs, six objects, and six consciousness or awareness. But that's not the question. That is a question. We talked about something else last time. I'll just read the answer. Dennis mentioned earlier that there are six senses, six objects, and six consciousness. Yes, six consciousness. So it's 18. That's right. But that's not what I wanted to ask. Okay, let's see. It's a little complicated. Maybe I just didn't understand it. The reason there are 18 is... It's about definition of the category. And the reason they call it the category is because these are the things which is able to hold its own characteristic. And then there are two ways to hold. It's complicated. The body and the support that can hold the six consciousness, and the six consciousness themselves, which each can hold their own assistance. And because of that, we have 6 plus 6 plus 6 equals to 18. Basically, it means... Basically, it means... Oh, let me show the whole thing. Okay. Basically, it means why there are 18 categories. It's about the definition of the category. It's about the definition of the category. And there are two ways to hold. One is the body and the six consciousness. That's the first one. The second one is the six consciousness and the support. And then, add them up, it's 18. You can read it yourself. It's a little complicated. I don't want to make it too long. Okay. Does it make sense? [Speaker 2] No. Yeah. Okay. Okay. [Speaker 1] I think it's mixing up with nirralambha, with taken on, maybe? Okay. You think so? Actually, I don't think so, but... The whole part here. [Speaker 2] Oh. [Speaker 1] Seems like you're mixing up with nirralambha. I don't know. I checked the previous class about the definition of category and something about that which can hold its own characteristic. [Speaker 2] Could be. Yeah. Okay. [Speaker 1] Okay. Okay. Then, what's the reason for the number of doors of senses to be 12 exactly? How do you define doors of senses? Just, you can yell. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Basically, yes. Yeah. Yeah. Basically, the doors of senses. That's correct. It means the place where consciousness are given birth to. Yeah. That's why we call it the door. Yeah. The meaning of the door of birth is that, through these doors, the future ten will be born. That's why there are 12. Yeah. Me too. I'll show you what I got so far. In this Abhidhamma Samutraya, it says that only the body and the supports, meaning the sense powers and the objects, are capable of being connected and give birth to the future sense consciousness. Therefore, they serve as the door of arising, basically. Twelve. It is twelve. Doors of senses. Same. Doors of senses, yeah. But that's how it usually gets translated. But yes, the meaning is doors of arising. Yeah. Yeah. My knees are like this. Me too. And one interesting point is, these twelve do not include the future six consciousness. We had a discussion about it. Why do we cut these six out of the eighteen? And the reason is, these twelve only emphasize the giving birth to, right? [Speaker 2] Yeah. [Speaker 1] You can say there's eighteen categories. But when you talk about doors of sense, you cut it to twelve. Because the object and the sense power are simultaneous. And through that door arises the future consciousness. So if you restrict yourself to present time, there's only six objects and six sense powers, but there's not six consciousnesses yet. So the categories are eighteen because they include present and future. And the doors are twelve because you limit it to the present. Because when you say door, you're implying that someone is going to go through the door in the future. Yeah. That's kind of interesting. I never saw that explanation in the course chat. Okay. Last question. What's the reason for the staying hips to be called hips taken on? Wow, that's a long answer. Yeah. We'll kind of go through it quickly. But do you remember what's the meaning of taken? Taken on. Near and far. Taken on at birth. You can say that. I think we talked about two interesting mental functions. Which is about this? Dunpa and dukchak. Dunpa and chakpa. Dunpa and dukchak. Dukchak, yeah. Dunpa and dukchak. Yeah. I'll just read the answer. So, taken here refers to the... I don't know how you translate it. Yeah, you can say craving and desire. That's fine. Okay. Taken refers to the craving and desire that exists within the hips. Craving. Qu actually refers to two things. One is... You can see it here. Qu. There are two functions, yu and tan. Right. Yu refers to the desire for the future. Tan refers to the desire for the present. So, craving is the yearning directed towards future. Like the future five hips. And then, desire is the attachment to the present five hips. Yeah, that's why it's called taken. Because, taken on because hips and taken on are the future five hips. Is it at least supportive? Can I say that? Yeah. It's a little complicated. There's three ways in which the five parts of you are taken on. So, for example, when you enter rebirth, you're taking on five new hips. But the reason you take on five new parts is that you had the karma of being attached to your old five parts. So, it's very common to call the five parts of you taken on. That taken on can mean three different things. One, when you die, then you take on five new parts. But as you die, you're scared of losing your old five parts. And you take them because you're scared of losing them, and then that causes the new five parts. And he's going to explain it in the reading today, I think. But it's very common to call the five parts of a person taken on taken on. But what that means is delicate. And, by the way, why does it matter? If you take on the five hips, they die. So, if you don't like that, you have to understand what it means to take on. Okay, cool. [Speaker 2] Okay. [Speaker 1] The last point here is there's a little interesting point to make. The hips taken on must be hips. But the hips are not necessarily hips taken on because there are unstained hips. I think when we talk about unstained hips, we don't call it taken on. Yeah. If you could have parts of you which were not taken on, they would be the parts of a Buddha. Right. Okay. Alright. That's it. Okay, cool. Nice job on your homework. Let's go to the share. I'll be Sam. Right? Ivan, can you project it? Oh, now it's good. Okay. Okay. Let's get this done. Okay. Let's get that out of here. What's that say? Turn up volume? No. Leave it. Press it? Okay. Move this up here. Move this over here. I don't know what that green line is. Okay. Okay. [Speaker 2] Our last class was October 18th. [Speaker 1] Oh. Okay, let's see. How's that? Now it's good. Okay. Beautiful. So, would you like to read that first part? He's coming here to check us. Alright. It's not so bad. It's not so bad. I don't know what it is. It's okay. It's not a big thing. Yeah. It's okay. What do I do? Stop mirroring? Oh, I see. Oh, got it. Okay. We don't need to do this. Okay. Whoa. Sorry. [Speaker 2] Let's just leave it. Okay, fine. [Speaker 1] Alright, let's get rid of that. Okay. Would you like to read? Yes. Hang on one second. Let's do this thing. You want to? Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. GYIS PHUNG PO DE ZA'I ZA'I ZA'I ZA'I MED BSHAD PA BZHIN NO Okay. So, say NIR LEN. NIR LEN NIR LEN GYIS PHUNG PO PHUNG PO Parts of you that you took on. And then the author says, what do you mean taken on? And usually we think that when you die, then you take on a new body and a new mind. By the way, in these ancient texts, you say, take on the five parts. Mm. Or take on the five heaps. But a much more simple translation is body and mind. Okay. very often we hear take on body and mind. So you die from this life, and then you have to take on a new body and mind. But as Sangha says, you don't understand all the meanings of taken on. You have to take on new body and mind because you take on your body and mind now. You have an attitude towards your present body and mind that is going to force you to take on a new body and mind. Because you are taking on your body and mind now before you die, you're going to have to take on a new body and mind after you die. So when we say you are taking on your body and mind now, and that's going to force you to take on a new body and mind later, what does take on mean? And he says, chiwa means death, chiwa means death. But what does kha mean when you add it to a verb? Just happened. Yeah, or at that very moment. So chi means to die. Chi kha means at the very moment that you're dying. At the moment as you die, people get scared. And they think they are going to disappear. So they hold really strong to their body and mind. And what's interesting is that holding strong to your body and mind as you die causes you to take on a new body and mind. The karma of trying to hang on to your old body and mind is what creates the new body and mind. It's very interesting. In terms of the twelve links of the Wheel of Life, links eight and nine are grasping. And usually we talk about them as, how should we say? We talk about eight and nine as grasping to the parts of me as you die. Sorry. What's the very subtle understanding of links number eight and nine that we talked about? A hundred dollars. Anatole has the answer. They cannot really cause the right karma to ripen. It's actually misunderstanding that's the factor, the main factor. So there's two opinions. Number one, if you're scared as you die, and you try to hold on to your old body and mind, that trying to hold on actually triggers the new body and mind. And that's not so bad except the new body and mind are mortal. On a more subtle level, if you don't understand how karmic seeds work, then that ripens them and they create a new body and mind. If you don't understand your karmic seeds, they will produce a new body and mind which is going to die. If you get really scared as you die and you're afraid to lose your body and mind, that also means you don't understand your body and mind. Both of them trigger death and taking on a new body and mind. To repeat, it's very common in the ancient books to say you have a body and mind which you took on. That can mean you took it on at birth, you took a new body and mind, but it can also mean before you died, you were holding on to your old body and mind. Then if taking a new body and mind is like a fire, then what's the grass which feeds the fire? What's the grass that feeds the fire? If the new body and mind is like a fire, what's the fuel for that fire? Holding on to your old body and mind. Oh, I'm dying. I got to hang on. You know, that hanging on is called the grass. And the new body and mind is called the fire. So, sometimes taking on means the fuel for the future fire. Okay, interesting. Then he says here, in the last line here, this situation at death is called the grass fire. The grass is the holding on to your old body and mind, and the fire is your new body and mind. So, in that case, holding on means holding on to your old body and mind. Okay, now we're going to have another one. By the way, let's go through the wording. How is it that you are holding on? Near land. CHI SKAD PUNG PO Your body and mind at the moment of death, DUN DU NYE BA means you want it. And that's called DUN PA, which means you're grasping. And then, he's going to distinguish between wanting and desiring. We have two mental functions, wanting and desiring. They never say you want your old body and mind. They say you have wanting and desiring for your old body and mind. There's two emotions going on here. Together they are called taking. Then, ZOD BDAG PA is a very important word. The present tense is ZOD BDAG PA. And that means the seed is ripened. You have lots of karmic seeds in your mind. They are not activated yet. Okay? You have billions of seeds in your mind, but they are not activated. And by the way, a Buddha who no longer has to have a mortal body and mind, they have billions of seeds in their mind to have a mortal body and mind. But they will never activate those seeds. It takes certain kinds of ignorance to activate those seeds. Buddhas don't get rid of bad seeds. They put them into the freezer. And they never open. [Speaker 2] Okay? [Speaker 1] It's kind of interesting. [Speaker 2] They still have ... [Speaker 1] You can argue in a debate that Buddhas still have bad seeds. They're just frozen and they will never open. ZOD BDAG PA means if you have the wrong kind of fear at death, it will activate bad seeds. So he said here, ZOD BDAG PA means you activated your bad seeds by holding on to your old body and mind, and that causes PUM PO, new body and mind. So it is true that you take on a new body and mind. But when we say you got a new body and mind because you took on body and mind, that means your bad seeds were activated, and your old bad seeds were activated as you died because you were holding on. Okay. So there's like three different meanings of taking on. Holding on. Three different meanings. One is that you're afraid to die so you hold on to your old body and mind. And that fear activates new seeds for a new mortal body and mind. Some ancient books call it the fear of disappearing. Yeah. Let's look at the second kind of taking. Okay. I'm going to push this down. Do you want to choose someone to read? Yeah. Aisha? You want to try? Microphone. [Speaker 2] Now it's fine. [Speaker 1] Yeah, okay. TATAR means in the present moment, right? PHUNG PO, the mind and body. So we have we have we are holding I'm sorry. We have desire for our mind and body. We're afraid to lose it. So the mind and body are the object of our fear. But don't forget that mind and body have their own thoughts also. Mind. So in the present instant, the mind which holds on to the body and mind is also a mind. It's a new mind. It's a new mind. Your old body and mind are making you scared. But your current body and mind is the scared. I'll say it again. Your old body and mind is what you're scared about. But when you say scared, there has to be a current mind. Your mind at four o'clock is scared to lose your mind at three o'clock. Okay, so your five parts the body and mind that you have now is also scared about the body and mind you had a second ago. So body and mind in the present moment which is scared is also called taken on. So your body and mind in the moment of death is taking on the body and mind of the moment before. Okay, got it? Okay, so that present body and mind is going to create another body and mind in the next life. Okay, so now there's three bodies and minds. One is the body and mind you lived in your whole life. One is the body and mind as you die which is scared to lose the body and mind you had your whole life. One is the body and mind you had your whole life. Second is the body and mind of the moment of death which is holding on to the body and mind you had your whole life. And those two guys are going to create a future body and mind. Now we got three body and mind. The body and mind you had your whole life. The body and mind as you die which is scared to lose the first one. And that second scared body and mind is going to trigger a new body and mind. This one can be called the grass for the fire. Okay, if the old body and mind you had your whole life is called the grass for the fire of the body and mind at death, what can we call this body and mind? And he says body and mind for the fruit tree. This is this is grass for the fire. This is body and mind fruit seed for the body and mind fruit tree. The body and mind that's scared to lose the body and mind you've had the body and mind at the moment of death which is scared to lose the body and mind you had your whole life is going to trigger a future body and mind in the same way that a fruit seed creates a fruit tree. Okay? So there's three bodies and minds. The one you had your whole life the one as you die and when that middle one is scared it creates a third one in the future. This is fruit seed to fruit tree. This is grass for the fire. Okay, we got one more to go. So who's going to read that one? Dungya? Mr. Tim, want to do? Dungya. RANG GI PHUNG PO SHES BYAS TE RGYAL BA'I DBANG DBANG GZHAN NO Okay, so now the first example was the grass for the fire. The second example was the fruit tree for the fruit tree. The first example was looking at the first one, the relationship between one and two moving this way. The second one was the relationship between two and three moving this way. But this one, future body and mind also has the relationship to the old bodies and mind. What's that relationship? The relationship of the body and mind you had your whole life to the body and mind as you die is rastifying. The relationship to the fear of body and mind that creates a new body and mind in the future life is called fruit seed to fruit tree. But the relationship of the future body and mind to these two past body and mind also has a name. It's called the servants of the king. The future body and mind that you will come to have is the servants of the king. Who's the king? The two previous bodies and minds. Why is your new body and mind like a servant that's waiting for the old bodies and mind to tell him what to do? If they don't agree this body and mind cannot exist. This new body and mind in your future life needs the permission of your two past bodies and minds to exist. If you don't have the right kind of fear and misunderstanding which is the king then the new servants of the king cannot exist. If your previous bodies and minds don't give permission the new body and mind suffering body and mind cannot exist. If you refuse to understand if you refuse to misunderstand your body and mind as you die the new body and mind doesn't have permission to exist to be born. If you don't have the right fear as you die you cannot take a new suffering body. That mistaken fear is like the king. The new body and mind is like the servant waiting for the king's permission. And that's, you can see let's say, poor. Can you die consciously? Can you keep your mind on emptiness as you die? Which is refusing permission for a new dirty body and mind. Extremely dangerous choice of methods. At the moment that you fall from the top of the skyscraper will you be strong enough to remember emptiness and not be scared? One in a billion. So, all this thing about poor at the moment of death grab on to the clear light jump to Buddhahood one in a billion. Don't wait. Take care of it now. Yeah, it is possible. But it's like, I don't know it's like grabbing a coffee out of somebody's hands when your car is going 200 miles an hour. Like, put your hand out the window and don't spill the coffee. Almost impossible. So, people teach it. But I believe it's irresponsible to teach it. It's not a real possibility. Maybe one person out of a billion. That's like waiting to find out where the bathroom is when the poop is just coming out. That's like when the poop is about to come out of your body that's when you start looking for the bathroom. Why not ask where's the bathroom like one hour before? Okay, almost impossible. Anyway, you can see here in the Abhidharma the information for some of the highest tantric practices. And people say, Geshe-la, I just want to study Diamond Way. I don't want to suffer through all those translation classes. It doesn't work like that. The translation classes is what allow you to practice Diamond Way. Okay, so therefore we can summarize. There are three possibilities here. It's the fire of the grass. What was the second one? Fruit tree and seed. Fruit seed and fruit tree. Or third one, King and servant. And he's going to summarize. Who's he? Asanga. With the commentary by Gyaltsabje. Rendawa, Je Tsongkapa's teacher, was also the teacher of Gyaltsabje and Keduje. Je Tsongkapa's two main disciples were students of Rendawa before they met Tsongkapa. And Rendawa ordained both of them. And kind of offered them to Tsongkapa so he could start his own dragon's head. And Rendawa was an Abhidharma Samuchaya freak. He was crazy about higher Abhidharma. He was crazy about higher Abhidharma. He wrote like a 4,000 page commentary on it. That's why his student, Gyaltsabje, also wrote a big commentary on it, which you are reading right now. Okay, understand? It's because of Rendawa that we have this commentary. Alright, who's going to read the next one today? We still got a little time. Five minutes. Savant, you want to try? [Speaker 2] You correct me. [Speaker 1] DRE BU DE PA DANG DRE BU RGYUD LA DANG DEN PA DANG DROG DROG DROG DEN NA DEN PA'I TSUL BSRUNG MO TSUL BSRUNG is the definition of a good reason, but that's not what it means here. Here, TSUL BSRUNG just means there's three relationships going on here. Number one, the RGYUD has a DRE BU. Cause has a result. Which of the three cases was that? First, or the second? Oh, the second? Yeah. They might be in order, just to give you a clue. Yeah, the grass. The grass and the fire. Is RGYUD and DRE BU. Cause and effect. The body and mind that you are grabbing to, because you are afraid that you die, is the body and mind which is going to sustain body and mind in the future. Cause and effect. The first relationship is cause and effect, grass and fire. Now, what's the second? What's the second relationship? The DRE BU is in the RGYUD. The apple is in the apple seed. The apple tree is in the apple seed. We said seed and tree, right? Fruit seed and fruit tree. Oh, so fruit is in the cause? Yeah, the result is in the cause. Right, okay, okay. The grass has a result. The cause has a result. The grass has a fire. Then the seed has a tree. The tree is sitting inside the seed. That's the second relationship. The future body and mind is sitting within the body and mind at the end of life. Then he says, the third relationship is tropos. Associates. Who are the associates? Associates. Like friends. Who says friends? Co-workers. Who are they? The king and the servant. It's not like the king gave birth to the servant. And it's not that the servant gave birth to the king. But they are working together. Okay, got it? Very interesting. It's very deep. All three of these are near length. There's a taking going on in all three. So, why does Buddhism so emphasize the heaps that are taken? It's very subtle. There's three different meanings of taking. One taking means you grab onto your old body and mind. Oh, I'm going to die. I'm going to die. I need it. I need it. I'm going to keep it. I'm going to keep it. Then that fear acts as fire on the grass. Like that. And then you have a fruit seed and a fruit tree. Again, attachment to this life is going to trigger next life body and mind. After you get into the future life and you have your new dirty body and mind, that was because of the permission of your previous body and mind. Very subtle. The whole thing is very subtle. Oftentimes, often often in sutras you'll say body and mind which was taken. Now you have three different meanings of taken. Last one. By the way, somebody come up to Asanga. How much time we got? Minus. Let's do the last sentence. Somebody come up to Asanga and say, why you make life so complicated? Why is it so complicated? And he has an answer before he goes on to the next topic. Stanley's going to read. Yeah, somebody said to Asanga, why you get so complicated? You got this grass fire. You got this fruit tree from the fruit seed. You got this servant waiting for the king to tell him to do something. Why are you digging so deep? He says, when you SAM, when you think about NYE MED means the problems of SDU MED of suffering, DE DAG means all these three examples are helping you to think about the problems of suffering. What suffering? The exquisite suffering of dying and finding a new body and mind. It's called NYE CHU GYI SDUG BSNGAL It is a sharper pain than you ever feel in your whole life. To make the crossing. It's NYE CHU GYI SDUG BSNGAL It's a special sharp pain. When we talk about that pain, you feel like SDUG, I would like to SDUG SDUG Get rid of KUN BYUNG LDAN PAR The truth of the source of pain. Which is that holding at the moment of death. If I describe to you why the moment of death is so painful, then maybe you wake up and try to do something now. And by the way, everybody has died many, many times. You can't remember it because the person who would remember was destroyed. But deep down you have some feeling, you remember a little bit. That's why people are so in terror of dying. Deep down they remember. Oh Geshe-la, your own brother killed himself. He wasn't afraid to die. He was so afraid to die, he killed himself. You see what I mean? When people are super afraid, they kill themselves. KUN BYUNG LA DPONG DU So, this whole discussion is supposed to inspire you to take care of it now. Recently I got this notice about my past due taxes. Taxes from 14 years ago. The tax people will find you. Even if the government shuts down, they will still find you. And you will pay interest for 14 years. So the idea is take care of it now. Pay your taxes now. Figure out how you die. Take care of it now. Before you die. Take care of everything now. The definition of Buddhism is taking care of your death now. Don't wait till the last minute, okay? There might not be toilet paper also. Understand? Okay, I think we're done. Okay. Okay. Let's go. Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, I'll sit down. [Speaker 2] I'll listen. [Speaker 1] Okay. [Speaker 2] Looks like we lost them. [Speaker 1] It looks like we lost them. I thought maybe there was a chance that we were going to hear Stanley do his 15-minute discussion, but maybe they have moved on, as it were, to other things. And I'm guessing that Juan Hasso is there, but Juan, are you here hanging out with us in the Zoom call, or are you local? I'll take no answer as confirmation that you're there. Somebody said, thank God we were not afraid to lose them. No, because we know that they're going to be right there when we need them. That's the great thing. [Speaker 2] If we plant the seed, yeah. [Speaker 1] Yes, thank you. As long as we have the seed. And everybody, so I think that the main practical, I'll just share one practical application that I learned today, and then we can go, I guess, unless anybody else has something important, but I don't think you're going to find anything more important than this. Have your toilet paper when you need it. It's very, very important, and don't wait. It's quite practical. Don't wait. Don't delay. Thank you, Oscar. And Oscar has placed an emoji in case you don't know what I'm talking about, because we have many languages present in this call. So Oscar's just planting the seeds to be a translator. All right. Well, anyone else want to share their thoughts about this material? [Speaker 2] I don't know. I was just struck by, I mean, Geshe Michael said it, but just how much tantra is in here. [Speaker 1] Yeah. And the Abhidharma. [Speaker 2] Yeah. Diamond way, I should say. [Speaker 1] Yeah. [Speaker 2] Cool. It's beautiful. [Speaker 1] What was your favorite allusion there today? [Speaker 2] Oh, if just the servant won't come about if the king is not there. So, gosh, let's just not create the king, shall we? [Speaker 1] Yeah. [Speaker 2] That's cool. Fear. That's a hard one, no? Fear. It feels like a very, I don't know, oh, what's that word? Instinctual sort of emotion. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Yeah, I've been there. [Speaker 2] But it's not. [Speaker 1] I agree. [Speaker 2] What was that? Angels flying about your house. [Speaker 1] Speaking of fear, Giroux was terrified by the sudden noise of a coffee grinder. I see. Poor Giroux. He's got some trauma. All right, buddy. I've been there where I wasn't sure if I was going to live. And fear was quite present. Is Ula looking to share? Oh, nice. Talk to us. Hi, buddy. [Speaker 2] Hey, I'm without camera today, but Utpal, I love what you said. I was just wondering, because sudden impermanence, right? We're dying like every minute. We're changing our bodies 65 per second. We're creating a new one. And that we should not wait till the last second. But, so what would happen if we just get rid of fear? If we completely get rid of fear of this transformation? Can we, can I theoretically in like 10 minutes create a completely new body? Like, I don't know. Can I? Like with POA, right? One in a billion. I mean, sure, it's possible. Right? Because things are empty of having any sort of self from their side. So certainly it's possible. But as you were saying, the no fear thing, I was recalling that that's what they call bodhisattvas. They have no fear in that they are constantly like 100 percent creating seeds. They are like seed creating machines, consciously creating seeds with the motivation to benefit all beings. So that's all they do so they have no fear. What resonates for them is just like old stuff. So yeah, I'm just planting new seeds for a new you know perfect body and mind. That can help everyone. [Speaker 1] Yeah, I was just thinking about this recently too and somebody asked a question where I was teaching and I would say that theoretically absolutely every breath is a chance to shed this impermanent body, but the seeds that we have in our mind are, in addition to the fear, just the numerous seeds are very what's that word? Tenacious? They hold very... They keep us they keep us habituated to certain ways of being and ways of thinking that are hard to overcome and that's a big part of our regular practice if I'm not mistaken. So keeping a six times book can help rehabilitate our minds because typically it has to go a little more typically it goes a little more slow going than ten minutes, but you can do it. Let's do it. Oh my goodness, he's there. [Speaker 2] There he is. [Speaker 1] He's fearless. Yeah. Alright, I guess it's time. I was just preparing the last the last edition editing of the PPT that it's going to be ready in. Alright, it's ready. Is that a new jacket? I really like that suit. [Speaker 2] No. This is the original jacket probably from three years ago. [Speaker 1] Yeah, good. Someday it'll be encased in glass. Right, yeah. A museum. We can open the Peach Tree World News Museum. Yeah. The Peach Tree World News Cafe. [Speaker 2] It'll be up in the Peach Tree Cafe. It'll be in glass on the wall. Do you remember when this place that the thing, the museum? [Speaker 1] Of course I do. Is that where you are right now? No, but I was thinking we can do like a worldview museum. I don't know, in the middle of the road from somewhere Diamond Mountain to Peach Tree Cafe. We open a museum. I don't know. They've changed it. I don't know if you've been recently. No, I haven't, but I know I hear they changed it. They changed it. There was a secret Diamond Way message hidden there in the old one which was they called it a Chinese gong and it was a West Chinese gong, I guess, because there was this image of Tsongkhapa and Gyaltsabje and Kedrubje engraved and it's not currently up. I called Bolin Company and said, look, if you're not going to use that, can I buy it? Do you want to? They insist that they are going to put it back up at some point. They're working on it. We've all got to keep our eye out and see if it reappears. That's awesome. [Speaker 2] That sounds like the prophecies of some religions that the day that the artifact comes back. The international headquarters are actually here in Albuquerque as it turns out. Amazing. [Speaker 1] All right. I'm going to give you a quick run on just wonderful things that have been happening. Well, for first I will have to say that the sensation and the feeling that I'm getting is that Rimbrook in Arizona is getting loaded with so much energy. Something very interesting is cooking up. It just feels like more and more people are coming and visiting every year, every month, more often. I hear many people starting to get interested in getting properties here or stuff like that, moving around. Something very beautiful is happening after this lately Phoenix event. A lot of people saved some time to come and visit the Petrie Cafe, the Halloween party. I'm going to show you a little bit of what has been going on and then a little bit of what's coming up. [Speaker 2] Marina, very kindly, is there ready to share? Let's start. Our friend Joel Crawford, he works for ALL and he's one of the persons who designed the Tibetan AI library access. I'll show you the link in a moment. [Speaker 1] A few months ago, we were talking about it. How you can access now all the script through there. If you just know how to research, you can find so much information. It was his birthday just two days ago, October 30. [Speaker 2] Thank you for all your work and sending best best wishes. Let me show you his next picture, please. [Speaker 1] I forgot my Pichiquino today. It's in the bag actually, but it's okay. Today we do it with the boys. That's an Asian legacy library that provides this program, Diamond Corner Classics Translation classes with the books and the content that later gets translated by Keshila and our wonderful translator friends. [Speaker 2] Let me show you the next picture, please, where you can access the ALL public library. [Speaker 1] We talked about it probably almost, I don't know, I don't want to say one year ago, but many months ago. This is a reminder that it's a great, great tool to have. [Speaker 2] You can research the content of many, many, many, many, many thousands of pages and wonderful Asian wisdom. And this is something of the latest projects that our friend Jewel finished. So you can access it there. Okay, happy birthday, Dan. Let's go next. [Speaker 1] Just so you know that right now we are at Dragon's Head. I'm at the president's office. [Speaker 2] It's a super beautiful place. This is the office I'm just showing you. And there is a bunch of people that came to start the DSDU Next program. [Speaker 1] It's going to be starting from tomorrow, one week until the 8th of November. So there's going to be a lot of activity. Dragon's Head and Green Brook as well. Next picture, please. Halloween party. Yesterday we had a wonderful Halloween party. Peach Tree Cafe was invited along with many other businesses around the area to be part of this trunk or treat celebration. And we have a video for you to get a little taste of how it was. So Marina, if you could kindly... There were baby goats. There were baby goats. All right. So there you go. That was a little bit of a taste of what happened yesterday. We were there like for maybe three to four hours until dawn. And it was so cool and wonderful. As I say, many people are visiting town. There's a big community of Ukrainian friends that came and also, you know, people visiting from Asia all over for this program as well and DSDU. Okay. Now, what's happening next? We were talking about this week, Eshel is going to be focusing on teaching for DSDU along with preparing many more materials for other upcoming programs. But actually very, very soon it's time for Kyoto. I was impressed like we just finished Phoenix and now it's almost like pretty much like in a month and what? A week? In a month and a week we're going to be getting to Kyoto. So get ready. You can find out more information if you follow the QR codes for either English or Chinese language registration. And in order to just give you a little taste of what happened in Phoenix, we also have a video to summarize that. The Phoenix team is still working on the materials and then maybe either tomorrow or next week something more solid is going to be ready but I just want to show you just a little bit. So next video please Marina. [Speaker 2] Yeah. Yeah. That was it. That was a very short video but at least it's just a little taste of what was happening in Phoenix and yeah. You'll see more soon but just so you know people are already getting ready to go to Kyoto. Next picture please. [Speaker 1] And while we were enjoying Kyoto the YSI, sorry while we were enjoying Phoenix, the YSI team was enjoying Thailand and for that we do have another video to show you how the Thailand event of YSI just went. Third video. Okay. And then Vivian say that she's preparing more materials to share with us. She's here in town actually Vivian. So congratulations for the successful event. [Speaker 2] Let's see if Monday we talk more about it. Hearing from her how it was. But just so you know that now the YSI team, yesterday I was asking Sarae where is Errol? [Speaker 1] And then Bernadette Cat started telling me that there is a new job that people start asking like does Errol really move to Arizona? Because even that he moved to Arizona is very rare when he's around. But it is because he's doing great things all over the world. He went to Thailand and now he's going to Turkey. Next picture please. Because YSI is also having an event in Turkey. Actually they probably already started. This goes from today, November the 1st to November the 7th this week. And Connie Lan and other teachers are there as well. I guess you cannot, maybe you could sign up still. I don't know. But you know it's happening. Okay. And finally, next picture please. [Speaker 2] A reminder that Blue Sky Friends are having sessions the 1st and the 3rd Friday of every month. [Speaker 1] And the upcoming session is going to be led by our friend Gail Dutch. November 7th. This upcoming Friday. She's going to be talking about good life beyond debt. You know in this class just Geshe-la was bringing up all this process of debt and how crucial that time can be for the success or the trouble of where we go next. So it's a great idea to be ready. And these sessions, the little I have been able to check, I really recommend them. They're really great. And many people are getting interested and attending to it. So you can follow the QR code over there. And if you have not the chance to attend to that specific time and date maybe, next picture, you can also watch the recordings on the YouTube channel. Just try to find out. Oh yeah, there is a QR code. You can follow up and yeah, you can watch the recordings. And then as you know the Innovation Retreat, that will be the last thing that before I just wish you a great weekend. Innovation Retreat, I talked with Stanley. I think they had a really really great time just last week in Diamond Mountain. And they have like a video to be shared with you all very very soon. Okay, this is a quick summary and a lot of upcoming content and materials either for Monday or Saturday. So hope you have a great great weekend and see you soon next time. Thank you. Thanks Juan. Thanks Nick. Thanks everybody. Thanks Ben. Have a great couple of days and we'll see you on Monday. See you soon friends. [Speaker 2] Thank you all Marina.
