[Speaker 1]
Okay, we're going to take the express subway. We have a half hour. We have to finish 15 parts of the fortress.

So, we were talking about standing and watching the pot on the stove. And because you are working so hard with your study and your practice, finally you see the seed actually opening.

[Speaker 2]
And it's creating the pot.

[Speaker 1]
On that moment, you will go like this. Oh, Geshe-la was right! Then whole world coming from me.

This and this are the same. Pen come from me.

[Speaker 2]
Arm come from me.

[Speaker 1]
Then because of that, I can become Buddha. The arm is not this way. The pen is not this way.

[Speaker 2]
Pen come from me. Arm come from me. Therefore, if I plant the seeds, I will become Buddha.

[Speaker 1]
Then after maybe within one hour, you go to meditate in your personal meditation space, which you created in your apartment or your house. And you start to meditate. And the good karma of seeing the seeds open directly you go up the nine levels.

You can feel your mind go up, up, up. In the elevator. Then suddenly you start to see emptiness.

[Speaker 2]
Directly. After many billion years, you become Arya.

[Speaker 1]
And all you can see is a higher reality in your meditation. In the same way that your mind is glued to the air conditioner, now your mind is glued to kong shing emptiness.

[Speaker 2]
Higher reality.

[Speaker 1]
The absence of the fake teacher. And you stay there. And you don't know how much time has gone.

Could be a hundred years, could be five minutes. Because time is not kong shing. Time is not kong shing.

So, you are only seeing kong shing. You cannot even think, I did it!

[Speaker 2]
Because that's also not kong shing. And you stay there.

[Speaker 1]
And there's not much else I can say about it. If you never tasted an apple, and if you ask me what this apple tastes like, then I just can say it tastes great. And you have to try.

[Speaker 2]
You have to taste it.

[Speaker 1]
So, keep doing the lion's dance.

[Speaker 2]
I want you to see kong shing.

[Speaker 1]
If you see it, you don't have to worry about death. You don't have to worry about anything in your life.

[Speaker 2]
Just see it.

[Speaker 1]
And quickly you will be a Buddha. Okay, then in this list of sixteen qualities, number three is kong shing. That one which you see.

[Speaker 2]
Okay?

[Speaker 1]
So, number four was nothing is itself. We talked about it yesterday. Number three is emptiness.

Now, when you come out of emptiness, you can actually feel yourself going down the elevator in your mind. And the mind comes down through those eight levels. Then you wake up.

[Speaker 2]
Then first thought, wow, I did it!

[Speaker 1]
Wow, now I'm Arya. Then you think, how can I remember what I saw? to see that thing is very expensive karma.

[Speaker 2]
Sure.

[Speaker 1]
It's like buying the biggest ... I don't know.

[Speaker 2]
Anyway, when you come out to this normal world, then you're like, how can I remember what happened to me?

[Speaker 1]
Then I will find the closest thing in this world to kong shing.

[Speaker 2]
Then what is that?

[Speaker 1]
Then you think of a diamond. Okay?

[Speaker 2]
Every Arya, at that moment, they think of diamond.

[Speaker 1]
Okay? Then I will have diamonds close to me for the rest of my life. Wear one on my hand.

Wear one in my ear. Wear one in my teeth. And this way I will try to remember.

[Speaker 2]
Maybe you start a diamond company.

[Speaker 1]
Okay? So, don't forget. Just so, don't forget.

So, that experience of the diamond, I will include it in number three.

[Speaker 2]
Kong shing.

[Speaker 1]
Then, for the next ... You are still sitting in meditation. And for about half an hour, 45 minutes, the other four truths come in your mind.

We have 14 more, I think. And one by one, they come in your mind. So, you are not in emptiness meditation.

But the karma of that meditation is so powerful that many things start to happen to you. Then, one of them, you can see your future. And you can see yourself when you will be a Buddha.

So, you are thinking, oh, they won't call me Michael then. I will be Buddha. And usually that takes seven lives.

So, it sounds like a long time.

[Speaker 2]
500 years. But, compared to past life, it's nothing.

[Speaker 1]
It's one instant. Then you feel really cool. You can see yourself after you become Buddha.

And you can see yourself ...

[Speaker 2]
The Buddha department give each Buddha a planet.

[Speaker 1]
Then you can see the planet they will give you.

[Speaker 2]
You can see ahead of time.

[Speaker 1]
And it's cool. Then, it's difficult to get upset in your whole life after that.

[Speaker 2]
It's possible, but difficult.

[Speaker 1]
And your planning and your vision and your thinking is a 500-year plan. Then, big, like government of China, they are cool. They have 5-year plan.

They have 10-year plan.

[Speaker 2]
The Lam Rim government, we have 500-year plan.

[Speaker 1]
Okay? Alright, okay. So, I will call my ...

When the Buddha department give me a planet, I will call that number 11. Beautiful, beautiful. And you can see this beautiful Buddha that you will be.

So, it's part of the third Arya Truth. End of pain. And it's number 11.

You can see your future.

[Speaker 2]
So beautiful.

[Speaker 1]
I think that Buddha even has extra hair. Cool. Okay.

Also, you can see your ... during those seven lives, of course, when you're a small baby, come out of your mom, you cannot remember kong shing at that age.

[Speaker 2]
At that age.

[Speaker 1]
But around 16, you will remember. And before that, you will always have great, great teachers taking care of you directly. Then you can see it.

So, you're not so afraid to die. So, I will call that number 10.

[Speaker 2]
Peace.

[Speaker 1]
I don't have to be afraid. I will remember when I'm like 16 or something.

[Speaker 2]
And before that, I will have the best teachers in the world.

[Speaker 1]
That's all from the karma of seeing emptiness directly. In that time, you also see number one of the 16. Number one of the 16.

[Speaker 2]
What is number one of the 16?

[Speaker 1]
Impermanent. Okay? And most people ...

we all know that we're going to die. Everybody knows it.

[Speaker 2]
But part of you doesn't believe it.

[Speaker 1]
You know, you can see people die around you. But part of you doesn't want to think about it. But when you see your future life, you also see okay, gravity will win.

Right now we are ... since we are like Sambal, since we are like Sambal, you know, those kids, they try to walk. They like stand up.

Then they ... sometimes they go, and lucky they have big diapers. Then they learn to walk.

And they are fighting gravity. Gravity's trying to make you flat. Then you have 50, 60 years to fight gravity.

Then you go flat. And then gravity will win. And you ...

when you see kong shing, after that, you see directly impermanence.

[Speaker 2]
I will die.

[Speaker 1]
I will lose this war. Eventually. So that's very powerful.

Okay, now the best thing. During ... after you see emptiness directly, when you are meditating, like 20 minutes after you saw emptiness, you still have your eyes closed.

And then something very, very, very cool happens. You see the face of one person that you know.

[Speaker 2]
It comes up like this.

[Speaker 1]
And you see the face. And then slowly comes another face. Maybe your family.

And the faces, they are not picture. You are seeing directly with your eyes closed. And it comes faster.

All of your family. Then everybody you know. And then karma changes.

Time. And time slows down. And then for 10 minutes, you start to see thousands of faces.

And then millions of faces. And then after all the people, you start to see all the fish and all the birds. One by one.

Like you are meeting different people.

[Speaker 2]
Different personalities.

[Speaker 1]
Every fish in this ocean. Every bird in the sky.

[Speaker 2]
Every animal on the land.

[Speaker 1]
Comes like this. But clear. Each one is like, hi, hi, hi, hi.

Then when you finish all the beings on this earth, it takes about five minutes. You start other planets. So, we are not the only planet.

We feel like we are the only planet, but it's probably not possible. When you look at the stars, especially at Diamond Mountain, you feel sure there are many planets with people like us.

[Speaker 2]
Probably they are sitting right now having a talk.

[Speaker 1]
Sitting like this.

[Speaker 2]
Having a teaching.

[Speaker 1]
Then those faces come.

[Speaker 2]
And they are countless. Infinite worlds.

[Speaker 1]
And you see every person. Every animal, every fish, every insect. Then you feel this you feel this deep love for them.

[Speaker 2]
Like a mother. And in your heart, each one. Hi.

Hi.

[Speaker 1]
Don't worry, I'll take care of you. Then next one.

[Speaker 2]
Hi. Hi.

[Speaker 1]
Hi. Don't worry, I'll also take care of you.

[Speaker 2]
Countless. In ten minutes.

[Speaker 1]
Because of the power of kong shing. And that's a real bodhichitta. So, we should practice it.

And we should try to feel it. DGE BA DI DGE BA I want to help everybody. That's sort of a wishing, we call wishing bodhichitta.

[Speaker 2]
But when you see kong shing directly, you will have the real one.

[Speaker 1]
Then after that, you can still have a bad day. Things can still go wrong. Arya doesn't finish all their bad karma.

That's arhat. But for Arya to have a bad day is impossible. Real bad day is impossible.

So, generally they are always happy.

[Speaker 2]
Okay.

[Speaker 1]
So that one, I will put in number sixteen. Okay. What's the, what starts the inevitable happy ending of this movie?

It starts the happy ending. Sixteen. Number sixteen.

Then there are more, I will give them, I won't give them in order. But, suddenly you realize something about all these books. Like Diamond Cutter Sutra.

[Speaker 2]
Yeah.

[Speaker 1]
Okay, you understand something about these books. There are two hundred thousand important Buddhist books in this world. And they say very unbelievable things.

They talk about kong shing. They talk about bodhichitta. Many, many subjects.

[Speaker 2]
Two hundred thousand left in this world.

[Speaker 1]
Then in that moment you are like, wow! All true. Okay, hundred percent true.

Then you're like, wow! Then you have different relationship with those books. Lama always says, don't put book on the floor.

Always respect the book. Then we do it because Lama told us to. But after kong shing, wow!

You know, wow! It's like someone found the cure for cancer.

[Speaker 2]
And there's only one copy in the world. And you have it.

[Speaker 1]
Then you think, I have to take care of these books. Two hundred thousand books. Not one should be lost.

Then you get this kind of courage.

[Speaker 2]
I will take care of them. I will print them. I will translate them.

[Speaker 1]
Okay? Like that. I will count that as number fourteen.

Which is all these books are logical. The path is correct. So, I will call it number fourteen.

Number fifteen, which is practice. So, your relationship to book changes in number fourteen. Your relationship to Buddha statue, Buddha painting change.

You see? It's not like Buddha's painting. It's like a picture of your mother.

So, if you have a picture of your mom, real picture, and maybe she passed away, my mother passed away forty years ago. Then I have a few pictures of her. And I keep them.

So, your relationship to painting, statues becomes different.

[Speaker 2]
And you will get up and when you see the Buddha statue, you will feel like this. Without thinking. And I think this custom of prostration, I think it started with the Arya.

[Speaker 1]
Because Arya said, I must get down on the floor.

[Speaker 2]
Not like this, okay? I must get down on the floor.

[Speaker 1]
Because that thing is so powerful, so high. So, I will count this as number fifteen. I must get down on the floor.

And I must take care of those paintings. All those statues. They are real.

That's a real photograph. Okay. Number twelve.

You know, we say we are Buddhists. But we never met a Buddha. Also, my Christian friends that I love very much.

Christ died two thousand years ago. So, I remember I met a guy. When an American landed on the moon, walked on the moon, some of my hippie friends who smoke a lot of marijuana they say, ah, it's just fake.

It's just on the TV. They took a camera in somebody's living room. So, we don't know.

At first I say, you are crazy. Then I say, are you sure? I think so.

Ninety-nine percent I'm sure.

[Speaker 2]
Did Buddha live? Do you really know? Did Jesus live?

Muhammad. I think so.

[Speaker 1]
I believe. But now, number ... what number did I say?

Twelve. Somebody asks you, are you Buddhist? Yes.

Who do you follow? Buddha. Did you meet him?

Is he real? Yeah. I met.

When? Now, very important. When?

When I saw kongshin. Because that is part of the Buddha. Did you meet Buddha?

Yes. Buddha has four parts. Which part did you meet?

The core, the most important part.

[Speaker 2]
What is it? Kongshin.

[Speaker 1]
I met Buddha. So, I'm a different kind of Buddhist. I'm a Buddhist who met the Buddha.

Then after that you can never doubt Buddhism. Okay? You never, never, never, never, never ...

how tired you get, how hard your life is, you will always be Buddhist. Yeah, I met him. Then I can spend the rest of my life working hard.

[Speaker 2]
Because there's nothing else to do.

[Speaker 1]
Okay, something fun. Number seven. For the rest of the day, you can read other people's mind directly.

Okay? It's pretty cool. Like, we never know what other people are thinking.

Okay, slowly. Nüren Xin ... Xin?

Xin? Nüren Xin ... Hadi ...

Hadi Zhen? Hadi Zhen? Nüren Xin, Hadi Zhen.

[Speaker 2]
It's like a woman's heart is like a needle at the bottom of the ocean. So difficult to guess.

[Speaker 1]
Yeah, so the men, you know, you cannot read your wife's mind. Impossible. It's like trying to see a needle at the bottom of the ocean.

Okay? But, after you see Kongxin, you can read your wife's mind for one day. After that, go back to the ocean.

Okay. Number eight. Flow.

Flow of pain. So, you know, we are Buddhist people. We make offerings.

We give flowers. We offer food to Buddha. And we give money to the fundraising.

We do good deeds. But every single one is infected with selfishness. One percent.

[Speaker 2]
Ten percent. Ninety percent.

[Speaker 1]
I hope somebody sees my donation. I hope I can eat the offering after Buddha is finished. Like that.

[Speaker 2]
Before you see emptiness, you cannot make a pure offering.

[Speaker 1]
There's always some selfishness. And that's part of the truth of suffering. Okay.

Number six. I have one more minute. Okay.

[Speaker 2]
Now, when you come out of seeing emptiness first time, well, in general, when you go to DCI talk, Geshe-la is explaining the pen.

[Speaker 1]
Geshe-la says, okay, tell me, is it coming this way or this way? Then all my friends, they know what they're supposed to say. Oh, I understand.

Coming this way.

[Speaker 2]
While you are saying that, you believe it's coming this way.

[Speaker 1]
Okay? When you look at the pen, and you go like this, even in that moment, you are thinking it comes this way. It's a big part of human nature.

[Speaker 2]
Intellectually, you can understand.

[Speaker 1]
But instinctually, you will still hold it comes this way. I had many, many meetings this week. Many, many meetings.

I didn't get five minutes to rest. Last two nights, maybe three hours. Then all those discussions, many, many of them, people are very carefully explaining to me about the husband in the kitchen.

[Speaker 2]
Geshe-la, I know it comes from me.

[Speaker 1]
But, stop telling me but. Yeah, but my husband is different. Not like other husbands.

My husband comes this way. Then I'm like, oh. Okay.

So, now, interesting thing. I'm looking forward to you become Arya. Then I can sleep.

Okay? Alright. Now, interesting thing.

[Speaker 2]
Even Arya, after they come out of kongshin, that deep, deep feeling, things are coming this way, they still have it. Until arhat, until arhat.

[Speaker 1]
Until nirvana.

[Speaker 2]
It doesn't stop. Then Arya is like this.

[Speaker 1]
I saw you are kong. I know you are coming this way. But still look this way.

[Speaker 2]
Okay?

[Speaker 1]
Then Arya says, They also get angry. They also feel jealous. They also have desire.

But they don't believe it. Okay?

[Speaker 2]
Then when they finish desire, anger, jealousy, they became arhat, nirvana.

[Speaker 1]
Okay. Number five? We didn't do yet.

Am I right? Or not? Huh?

We did do it. Okay, number five. I always ...

This happens when you see the pot. Oh, I always thought the pot was coming this way. I always thought I met my teacher by accident.

Okay, that's number five. That's easy. Cause of pain.

Okay, let me see if I ... Did I do anything? Number nine is the ...

[Speaker 2]
seven lifetimes.

[Speaker 1]
It will stop. This pain will stop.

[Speaker 2]
Completely.

[Speaker 1]
After seven lifetimes. Thirteen. Yeah, okay, last one.

Right? And then I'm free. My bed is calling me.

[Speaker 2]
Come to bed, Geshe-la.

[Speaker 1]
Then some people said, at the last minute, said, I want to have a meeting also. Anyway. Number thirteen is the lion's dance.

Okay? We call it the platform. Like, I'm on the stage.

[Speaker 2]
Okay?

[Speaker 1]
I cannot sit up here without the stage. You cannot see kongxing without a certain level of meditation.

[Speaker 2]
It's not possible. We call it path.

[Speaker 1]
Path. Path means, in this case, the eight levels. Okay, the elevator is your path to the ninth floor.

So you must meditate every day. Do your meditation. Do the lion's dance.

[Speaker 2]
Start today.

[Speaker 1]
Maybe it has to be in the airplane. I kind of like to meditate lion's dance in the airplane because we are so high.

[Speaker 2]
Okay?

[Speaker 1]
It's easier to spread the mind to the universe. Okay? So, especially for the next thirty days, it's very important.

Use the recording for five, six days until you remember. And then stop.

[Speaker 2]
You don't need the recording. Okay? Please do every day.

Agree? How much? Okay?

Okay.
