[Speaker 1]
I'm not going to teach you meditation number seven, because Stanley's going to teach that. So, let's do number eight. Number eight is just ...

it's very simple. There's just an older woman there. We went to a beautiful art exhibit in Berlin.

Uta organized it, and we had a beautiful talk with a German philosopher, I guess? Businessman. And the art exhibit is in the dark.

The museum is in the dark.

[Speaker 2]
And they just have people's ...

[Speaker 1]
photograph of people's face. But it's like two meters high, and you're ... he doesn't allow you to talk, and you must stay in front of the picture.

By the way, you have to tell him, he said without twinkling, but what he means is without blinking. He wants you to look at it, you know? And I was doing ...

[Speaker 2]
you know, I went through the exhibition, and it was very sad to me, because each face had a story, you know?

[Speaker 1]
With the ... on the face, you can see what trouble they had, you know? My mom used to say, don't do that.

It will stick like that. Later you won't be able to change it, you know? When I play music, I go like that, I don't know, maybe Yohai does, I don't know.

I used to spit, you know? And you can see people's life in their face. You know, what troubles they had.

And a few people, if they're meditating I guess, when they get older, they have this permanent smile, and it's very beautiful, but it's a little bit rare. Most people, slowly it starts to come down, you know? So, this meditation is about this lady.

I don't know her, but I can tell her life in her face, you know? And she had some hard times, you know? So, the average, we have an average lifespan.

I looked it up on Google, which is like God gives you all the answers. Average in America is a 78 years old. Average for the whole planet is 70.

Then, you know, if you're not my age, you think that's okay. Oh, 70, that's okay, you know? 78, that's cool, and I'm not even close to that.

When I was a hippie, we used to say, don't talk to anybody over 30.

[Speaker 2]
You know?

[Speaker 1]
They say you can't trust anybody over 30. Then when I reached 30, I decided, it's okay, you can talk to people over 30. Then when I was young, the Beatles, you know, our favorite rock and roll band was the Beatles, you know?

They did a song, when I'm 64, you know? And it means when I'm old and stupid, you know?

[Speaker 2]
Now I'm 63.

[Speaker 1]
64 looks okay. So, why do they do this meditation? There are places where people live 100,000 years or 200,000 years.

They are in the history of this world and other worlds. People easily live 100,000 years, 200,000 years, and they say NGIG MED DU, NGIG MED DU means this planet is in what we call the Poo Poo times, Poo Poo times.

[Speaker 2]
Our lifespan hit the bottom.

[Speaker 1]
It's a ... in the scriptures, it's a hundred years.

[Speaker 2]
So, we are close to the bottom.

[Speaker 1]
We're in a lousy planet. Seventy years is nothing. You don't have time to do anything.

So, this meditation we're going to do next, it's just, you know, think, I have a limit, you know? There's a limit. In this planet, there's a limit.

Everybody thinks they're going to go past the limit. Everybody says, oh, that average includes a lot of stupid people. I'm not so stupid, you know?

But, but it's pretty correct. You can, you can say there's a limit, okay? You do yoga every day.

You drink green drinks. I have a choice between coffee and green drink.

[Speaker 2]
I didn't have any green drink yesterday.

[Speaker 1]
You do your yoga, you eat well. Okay, maybe 75, maybe 80, but there's a limit. So, the first thing to do is to convince yourself you're going to die sometime.

[Speaker 2]
Okay, will you die in a thousand years?

[Speaker 1]
Yeah. Will you die in 500 years? Yeah, you know?

Will you die in a hundred years? Yeah, probably. Then, then you just get yourself used to, I'm going to die.

In English we say, eventually. Okay, so that, that's the first place to take your mind. Will you die in 200 years?

Yeah, okay, okay. I admit, I'll die in 200 years. Then that's a, that's very powerful.

It sounds stupid, but it's powerful. Finally you admit, yes, I have a limit. So, we're going to do this meditation, and it's that there's a limit.

Maybe 85, maybe 90, but there's a limit. Okay, here we go. Then we'll take a break, okay?

Coffee or green drink break?

[Speaker 2]
Okay.

[Speaker 1]
Let's see which one. Actually, I had my green drink this morning, okay? Just in case we ask you.

Okay, ready?

[Speaker 2]
So, relax your hands on your legs.

[Speaker 1]
Pull in your stomach. Puff out your chest.

[Speaker 2]
Take a deep breath.

[Speaker 1]
Let long exhale, let it go. Then you can come straight to your breath. Ten slow breaths.

Then think about just a very simple meditation, that there's a limit to life in this world 70 years, average. Maybe I can live a little bit longer than that, but not much.

[Speaker 2]
That's all.

[Speaker 1]
Simple meditation. Come to your breath. Three deep breaths.

Okay, take a stretch.
