[Speaker 1] I'm sorry I'm late. I had a bathroom emergency. Not me, the sink. It was exciting. Let's meditate. You ready? Relax your eyes. Relax your mouth. Relax your hands. Pull your hands back. Pull out your chest. Relax your forehead. Pull in your stomach. Turn off your cell phone if you didn't do that yet. And please come to your breath. Today I'd like you to do ten breaths a little bit differently. The breath will come in and out of your forehead. So, focus on the spot between your eyebrows. In Sanskrit it's called bruhormadhyay, in between the eyebrows. Go up about a centimeter. And then go in about two millimeters. And pretend there's a hole there, like a dolphin. And breathe in and out from there. Long exhales. We'll stay here for a minute or two. Now please ask your lama to come to sit with you. Or your heart teacher. Could be someone from the past, like Buddha or Jesus. Could be a heart teacher that you have not met yet. And you're just imagining them. A man or a woman. Or your teacher right now, your own heart teacher. They're sitting facing you. The knees are almost touching. You can feel the warmth of their body. And even though your eyes are closed, you know they are looking at you with a great love. [Speaker 2] Their eyes are glued to you with great love. [Speaker 1] And think of some quality they have that you would like to develop. Which is why they're your teacher. And tell them, share with them something you did wrong yesterday. Maybe for most of us it's something in your mind, like jealousy or disliking someone. Then please tell your teacher something good you did yesterday. And today we can also try to think about something good we saw another person do yesterday. And share this with your teacher. I saw this beautiful thing somebody did yesterday. Then ask your teacher to teach you. [Speaker 2] Tell your teacher to teach you. [Speaker 1] Often times when you ask them to teach you, they will teach you through another person. And some of the lessons will be negative. Someone will get angry at you or jealous of you. To show you what it feels like when you do it to others. So be careful when you ask for teaching. [Speaker 2] Lama can teach in many ways. [Speaker 1] But if you have courage, ask for teaching. [Speaker 2] And then accept whatever teaching comes. [Speaker 1] Then ask your lama to stay in your life. My life would be very bad without my lama. So ask them to stay. Now we'll start the meditation. And if you have time in the morning, when you meditate you should use that warm up, that preparation that we just did. And then normally at the end of the meditation, you would do one more which is to give away the good karma to other people. So today's meditation, and also your WeChat assignment, is to think about the day of your death. Assuming you don't die in a sudden way. That you know you're going to die. You're on the bed dying. And people are standing around you, the ones you love, family members. They're looking down at you on the bed. And you're looking up at them. Maybe they are crying. You also feel already very lonely. And just think, the WeChat assignment today is who will be there around your bed? [Speaker 2] Who will be looking down at you? [Speaker 1] And to whom will you say your last goodbye? Who will hear your last words? And what would you choose to be your last words? So today in the WeChat, who do you think will be at your bedside as you die? Who will be looking down at you and crying? And what's the last thing you will say? Okay, let's practice this for five minutes. I'll turn on the alarm. [Speaker 2] I'll turn on the alarm. [Speaker 1] Then take three deep breaths. You can imagine that you are giving away the good karma of this meditation on those three deep breaths. [Speaker 2] You can imagine that you are giving away the good karma of this meditation on those three deep breaths. [Speaker 1] And slowly open your eyes, stretch.
