[Говорящий 1] (0:00 - 1:22)
Somebody handed me a question when I came in. It says, what's the difference between someone being your teacher and someone being your lama and someone being your heart lama or root lama? So, we're going to talk more about it later, because Pabongka Rinpoche will talk about it in this book.

But generally, teachers, anyone who teaches you, for example, your mother or father taught you how not to be like a rat. Then someone taught you in the school how to write, how to read, how to talk. And someone taught you your job.

What is your job?

[Говорящий 2] (1:26 - 1:29)
These are all teachers.

[Говорящий 1] (1:30 - 3:37)
Lama means ... we're going to talk about it later. There are ten things that make a person a lama.

But mostly they are teaching you how to stop your suffering. The most basic kind of suffering. From the moment you are born, you start to die.

You start to get old. Machine starts to get broken. My machine has 325,000 miles on this machine.

I'm a little worried. All the mechanics say, machine cannot go so long like that anymore. Then can we change it?

And can we help other people change it? This is the function of a lama, I think. Then heart lama or root lama, same thing, same.

He defined it in this book. Do you remember? Say again?

Oh yeah, that's not bad. The one who teaches you the three principal paths. He said that also.

But he said root lama or heart lama is the one who taught you the most important things in your life. He just said very simply like that.

[Говорящий 2] (3:45 - 3:52)
The one who helped you the most in this life.

[Говорящий 1] (3:54 - 4:05)
In my own experience, heart lama is the one that you feel special connection to then.

[Говорящий 2] (4:06 - 4:08)
Sometimes makes you cry.

[Говорящий 1] (4:11 - 4:14)
When you think about them, you feel some special thing.

[Говорящий 2] (4:19 - 4:29)
Then in the monastery, you have three or four different kinds of maestros.

[Говорящий 1] (4:30 - 4:47)
First one is called Kansen Gelgen. Kansen Gelgen. For me, this is Geshe Lothar.

They teach you ... they are like your mom. When you come to the monastery, usually you are seven years old, eight years old.

[Говорящий 2] (4:52 - 4:59)
They teach you how to put on your clothes.

[Говорящий 1] (4:59 - 6:20)
And very dangerous if you don't do it right. They are responsible to feed you and to find clothes for you. They are responsible to find you a teacher to teach you the scripture.

In the monastery, by the way, nobody pays anybody. So, it's difficult to be Kansen Gelgen. You have to fundraise for your kids.

Then there's another teacher called Pecha Gelgen. Pecha Gelgen. This is your book teacher, teach you the books.

Maybe for, I don't know, four or five hours a day, something like that. Your Kansen Gelgen, your mom, they also teach you to memorize the books, the five great books.

[Говорящий 2] (6:21 - 6:27)
When you are young, you start when you are seven or eight years old.

[Говорящий 1] (6:28 - 8:11)
Then you have Giku. Giku is debate master. They teach you this wushu debating, and usually they are very tough.

One of my ... always they are hitting you, you know, with a rosary. One of mine, he just said, a rosary is not strong enough.

He uses an electric extension cord. Everybody says Tibetan monks are so polite. This is the extension cord blessing.

Then you have your Tsawe Lama. Different is different. That's the one you feel heart connection with them.

If you don't have Tsawe Lama yet, don't stress about it, okay? Just create them. How do you create them?

Be kind to other people.

[Говорящий 2] (8:12 - 8:20)
Share what you learned, and then you plant the seeds.

[Говорящий 1] (8:20 - 8:54)
Then they have to come. My teacher taught me a very beautiful prayer. Before you go to sleep, then you can do this prayer if you want.

It means, my heart teacher loves me. Please come. Then just keep saying that, okay?

[Говорящий 2] (8:56 - 8:59)
Before you sleep.

[Говорящий 1] (9:00 - 9:31)
And this helps to plant the seed. My heart teacher loves me. Please come.

This way you can create them. And they have to come to you. Even if you live in Guadalajara, or Pueblo, or Durango, or Mexico City, Monterrey, they have to come to you.

[Говорящий 2] (9:31 - 9:35)
They don't have choice.

[Говорящий 1] (9:36 - 9:48)
You can save a lot of diarrhea going to India. Okay.

[Говорящий 2] (9:49 - 9:59)
I know many people went to India, they didn't find anything, because they didn't have seed.

[Говорящий 1] (10:00 - 10:17)
If you have the seed, you don't have to go to India, okay? Still it's good to go to India. Okay?

Cerame. I'm very happy so many of the Mexico team are going to Cerame.
