[Speaker 1] We're going to go to the next homework. I'm doing, I'm doing pretty good Tim. Now, there's a famous division of Nirvana. It's called Nirvana where you still have something left over, and Nirvana where you don't have something left over. So, for example, in the lowest schools, in Abhidharma, first you reach Nirvana while you still have something left over. It means you broke the wheel of life, you stopped the wheel of life. You will not have to go to another suffering rebirth. You got a guarantee for you don't have to go to another suffering rebirth. And it's impossible for you to make new bad karma. And it's impossible for you to make new dirty good karma. But you still have your old body. Then when you die, you reach Nirvana without anything left. So, in the lower school, you have something bad left over for a couple years or something like that. Until you die, you still have your old body which was created by old bad karma. And those years are called Nirvana with something left over. Then when you die, it's final Nirvana. You don't have anything left over. Now, highest school, it's very sexy, I think. And Nick's going to explain it. Elisa, you got a microphone behind you. So, according to the highest school, Nirvana with nothing left over happens first. And that's when you're in the direct perception of emptiness. So, just the moments while you're in that perception, that's considered Nirvana with nothing left over. And then after you come back down from that experience, that's Nirvana with something left over. Okay, I'll repeat, okay? In the lower school, you reach Nirvana. You don't have to take any suffering life again, no suffering rebirth. But your body doesn't disappear. You still have old karma, it's going to have to wear out. So, first you reach Nirvana with something left over. And then when you die, your body disappears, you don't have anything left over. And in the lowest school of Buddhism, at that moment that you die, you disappear. And that's Nirvana. No body, no mind. Okay? Now, higher school is very interesting. When you see emptiness directly, you have nothing left over. Okay? No self, no idea about, I didn't do anything. Okay? Then when you come out of it, you have something left over. Then you see things coming this way again. You can call it Nirvana with baggage and Nirvana without baggage. Okay, lower school. What's the baggage? Yeah, the life created by your old bad seeds. In the higher school, what's the baggage? Again, you pick up this idea that things are coming this way. In the kitchen, what's this? What's it feel like? My husband decided to call me stupid. Okay? That's what it feels like. How do you know you are seeing your husband self-existent? You open the kitchen door, he says, you are stupid, and immediately you feel like, he decided to call me stupid. Then in the next few seconds, you might have a few other thoughts. Oh, he's yelling at me because he's tired. You know, I didn't make dinner yet, you know, Diego's a little grumpy. Okay, or you know, the kids were yelling last night, maybe he didn't get enough sleep. Those are all like this, okay? They're all not the real reason. Okay, the real reason is you yelled at your kids last week. Okay, you got it? So, when you reach Nirvana, you also, people will call you, say good? Yeah, good, enemy destroyer. The one who destroyed the enemy. And here's a nice Sanskrit for you yoga teachers. The Sanskrit root han, H-A-N, not the Chinese han, the Sanskrit root han, means to do violence to somebody, to strike somebody. Okay, and the English word gun, comes from han. Okay, and when you use han in a noun, you say hin. So, if you have non-violence, you can say ahinsa. Okay, ahinsa. The M is a mistake, there's no M in ahinsa. That's a, it's somebody's mistake. There's no such thing as ahimsa. It's ahinsa. Non, no gun. No gunness, okay? Why are we talking about that? Sometimes I forget why I'm talking about that. When I explain why we're talking about, I'm just trying to remember, okay? Oh, in Sanskrit, the word for enemy, is ari, ari. A-R-I, okay? So, ari han, means to kill the enemy. Then, ari, it goes from ari han, to ari han, to ari hat, to ar hat. So, it's ar hat, okay? So, the name of a person who reached Nirvana, in Buddhism, in Sanskrit, is ar hat. Ar hat, the person who killed the enemy. What's the enemy? Your own negative emotions, like jealousy. What's the only way to ar hat jealousy? Poof, poof, poof, okay? The guy I was jealous of don't exist. Okay, now, you want to go deeper? I have three, okay, your pee pee is only three minutes away, don't worry. Here we go. There's a Sanskrit root. Well, Word can explain it, you want to explain it? Okay, stand up, get a microphone. He's going to explain to you the other meaning of ar hat. Okay, should I go into what the Tibetans say with it too, or no? Word. When you explain a foreign word in a Buddhism class, you make it as complicated as possible. Then everybody thinks you're very smart. No, this is my system. But you can do it your own way. Yeah, why not give some detail? And I want you to include chak jar upa. Something like that. Okay, go, go, go. I'll do my best. Okay, so, ari hant means to destroy the enemy. [Speaker 2] And the enemies are mental afflictions. [Speaker 1] But it's very difficult to become an ar hat. And you're a very high being if you're an ar hat. So, in Sanskrit there's many roots. And so they do plays on words often. And so, there's another root, ar, which means to be worthy. So, another way to interpret the word ar hat is to, he or she, they who are worthy to be praised. So, if you read the Buddhist scriptures in the Sanskrit, they often, they'll make little jokes on the pun. On the what? Pun, like play on words. But unfortunately, when the Tibetans translated the word ar hat, they went with the one who destroys the enemy, which is drachumba in Tibetan. And, but the play on words doesn't hold. Because in Tibetan, to be worthy is u. So, if you don't know that, and you read a Buddhist book that was originally in Sanskrit in Tibetan, and they make the joke, the pun, the play on words, unless you know Sanskrit, it doesn't make any sense. That's it. Alright, here we go. We're on the subject of Nirvana. And generally, definition of Nirvana, your husband can no longer make you angry in the kitchen because he poofed. Okay? You found out one of those husbands didn't exist. So, it's not true I'm illegal and I have two husbands, okay? One of them doesn't exist. I'm talking about the first example we gave in the stage, okay? I'm not talking real. Actually, both of them don't exist. Okay? But, you know, when you have a fight in the kitchen with your wife or your husband, there's always two husbands or two wives in the kitchen. Okay? One husband who called you stupid, coming from your stage because you called your kids stupid last week, that husband really exists. Then the other husband, Ayrton, where is he? He's not here. Where's Ayrton? What's the other one? I didn't say anything. Okay? That one don't exist. You did do something. You yelled at your kids last week. Okay, so when finally you understand all these things and you see emptiness directly, emptiness means, I didn't do anything, husband don't exist, he's empty. It means he's ... empty means he was never there. She said impossible, that's a good word. Okay? Then it's impossible for the husband to make you angry, because the one who do exist come from you. So if you feel angry, you should be angry at yourself. Okay? We know that. Okay? Now, because you understand the husband is not there and you never get upset, that's called nirvana. And it comes a long time, it can come a long time before enlightenment, before Buddhahood. So let's compare these guys. Ready? There's called normal ... well, let's say you are having a pretty good life. You married a rich guy or a rich lady and your life is pretty smooth. Okay? Then that's the worst, because you're going to have some ... we call wake up call. Somebody will die close to you. I don't know. You will get in a bad car accident. Maybe you burn like we saw. So my teacher used to watch the evening news on TV. Nobody in the monastery allowed to have a TV except the abbot. And he's the abbot. So then he has a bell next to his desk and when there's something interesting on the news he will ring the bell. I'm supposed to run upstairs very fast. Then he will show, look at this. He was in the news. He will say, look at this. And it's some guy, he got in a car accident. He lost his arm, lost his leg, something. And he said, why me? Why me? Then he will say, stay, stay. Every night in the news they will choose the lottery winner. The lady is very famous who choose the number, who choose the number. But her mini skirt is more famous. She come out, she pick the number, you know. All the guys in the audience are not looking at the number. She pick the number, you know. Then they will call the winner. You just won 20 million US dollars. You just won 20 million US dollars. And they're like, wow! Then my teacher said, see, see what I'm talking about? Then I'm like, no, I don't see. He said, the people who got in the bad car accident, they always say, why me? Why me? The person who win the lottery, nobody say, why me? Why me? So, when something bad happen, we start to think about life. And that's called the first of the five paths, right? Okay, there are five paths, five stages of spiritual development. To get to the first one, and this is every religion, doesn't matter. To get to the first one, you have to have a why me experience. Something bad has to happen in your life. Then you're like, what? What's going on? What's this life? When you start asking those questions, you are on the first stage of spiritual development. So, the worst person is before that. It's when you're asking those questions, why is this happening to me? Why is this happening? And the worst is when you're just before that. They inherit some money, or they marry some rich guy, and they didn't have a car accident yet. So, actually these people are, we say they are suffering the most. They didn't see real life yet. Then they get cancer, their mom gets cancer, then they wake up. And they're like, am I going to get cancer? When they start asking questions, they enter the spiritual path. Then they go to many programs, they read many books. If they are lucky, someone from the ACI teacher training, like you, teach them the pen. When someone teaches you the pen, you are on the second path. You reach the second path. So, pretty rare. You guys, you look like a lot of people, but you are one in a million, or you are one in half a million, in Mexico. So, whenever you feel depressed, you can think about it. In Mexico, a hundred million people, right? You are one in half a million. Maybe you are special. So, if you want to get depressed, it's okay. Just short time. Then you have to think about it. Of all the people in Mexico, or whichever country you are from, you are one in a million, literally. So, probably you are special. And you reach the second path. Most people get upset when Geshe-la teach the pen too much. But actually you should be happy, okay? I'm one in a million. For fifty times. Okay, second one. And then, by the way, on this first one, if you say, why me? You reach the first path. But if you say, why us? You're a bodhisattva. On the first path. If you include all people. Why we all have to die? Why we all have to work so hard, we make our family, then family die, house sold, why us? So, if you have that kind of bigger mind, like me and Word, we have big mind. And it pushed the hair out. So, then you're a bodhisattva. Then you learn the pen. And then you see emptiness directly. Which is very important. Really two things happen. Here. There's a border here. Okay, last part of, the last five minutes of path number two. Okay, path number two can last for a hundred years, sorry. Until you really understand the pen well. Then, at the very end of path number two, for the first time, you see a seed open and create something in front of you. What we talked about with Nagarjuna. Was Peter going or not? Yeah, the Peter coming from me was going. But, if the question means, was Peter going without your seeds? Then we have to say, no, he wasn't going. So, at the same time he was going and not going. Gata, gata. Gata, gata. Okay? Alright. So, the very end of step number two, you see a seed open for the first time. Actually, they're opening now. When you see me, you have 65 per second are opening. But you don't see the seed. You don't see the picture open. But you are doing it right now. I'm opening like this, okay? These words are also opening like that. Who wrote the Diamond Cutter Sutra? Yeah, you did. Who made that great movie Avatar? Yeah, you did. Good job. Who made all the bad movies? You did. Okay, then within a few hours, after this one, you have a direct experience that it's impossible for anything to exist without the seed picture you just saw. In Buddhist language, here you saw cause and effect, or dependent origination, and then here you see emptiness. Now, these two paths, and the lower than the first path, this can last for a billion billion years. This third one, 20 minutes, it's very strange. This one comes and goes very fast. The karma is very expensive to see emptiness directly. If you see it directly, you start on a stream, direct conveyor belt, to enlightenment. No one can stop you. No one can delay you. Even you don't want to go there, you have to. Okay? So, in modern language you can say, you stepped on the conveyor belt and it's going to take you to enlightenment. You don't have choice. Then that person has special, couple special names. You can say Arya. Arya means special person. They are on the conveyor belt. 2,000 years ago they didn't have a conveyor belt. So they will say, here he got into the boat which is going to enlightenment. He cannot get out. It's called stream enterer. Okay? Arya, or stream enterer. Okay? Same thing. Okay? Same thing. And these people, before that, they are called just normal people. Just normal people. And this guy called special. Arya, or stream enterer. His boat is headed to the nirvana, nothing can stop it. For a hundred dollars, even Earl is like, that's Earl. What's the other name of these just normal people? Sosotheva? That's the name, that's just normal people. [Speaker 2] They have another name. [Speaker 1] They have another name. You cannot choose yourself Tim. Oh, come on. The mind only school say a knife cannot cut a knife. Baby Bodhisattva? What was that? [Speaker 2] Baby Bodhisattva? [Speaker 1] No, no, no. This Bodhisattva down here. Can I choose this guy? What's that? Or is she correct? What? [Speaker 2] Okay. [Speaker 1] Oh, no. There's a special synonym for just normal people who didn't see emptiness directly. Shiva. Damn, that's another one. This question going to cost me two hundred dollars. That's a terrible answer. Okay, she got a hundred dollars. There's two words, I'm sorry. This question going to cost me double now. Wait, Xiaoping, you there? You got the money, honey? Okay, all right. Wait, did word whisper in your ear? Did he say something sweet or did he give you an answer? [Speaker 2] He always says something sweet. [Speaker 1] Okay. [Speaker 2] Mmm, mmm, mmm. [Speaker 1] Yeah, a hundred dollars is also sweet, you know? Okay, go ahead. I'll pretend I don't know. [Speaker 2] Okay, well first I was going to say children, but I think that's what the other answer was. [Speaker 1] Okay, but that hundred dollars already... [Speaker 2] Okay, so I think that it could be the other one. It could be people that see things that are coming from their own side. [Speaker 1] Excellent, excellent. [Speaker 2] A hundred dollars. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [Speaker 1] Okay, in Tibetan language, it's called SOR THONG, SOR THONG. When you ask people, is thing coming this way, or is thing coming this way? They will say, definitely this way. Then we call it SOR THONG. Okay, now, well that's a long story, but generally this is the word, okay? The people who see things come this way. Or you can call them ... you can say children, but the actual word you'll say is two-year-old. So in America, in American English, when you want to say your husband is acting like an idiot, there's a special idiom. My husband is acting like a two-year-old. Okay, so it means like, sometimes they say terrible twos. The kids when they reach two, I don't know, I didn't have kids, but they say when they reach two they are most irritating. My old lady, her kid is 68. Still terrible two. Okay, anyway, so these are words you should know. Did everybody get their money? Did you get your money? Okay, alright. So now, after that, after about 20 minutes, half hour, this person moved to step number four, stage number four. So it's kind of funny, these two paths take billions of years. This one takes 20 minutes, 30 minutes, then you're already on the fourth path. Okay, now between this path and ... this is Nirvana right? Now, there's two ways to go to Nirvana. If on the first path you said, why me? Then when you get to the end, you only reach Nirvana. If at the first path you said, why us? Then when you reach here, it's Buddhahood. If you care about everybody, and you reach the fifth stage, you are Buddha. If you're not thinking to help everybody, you just reached Nirvana. Okay, sometimes we call that lower Nirvana, and then we call Buddhahood like higher Nirvana. And the higher Nirvana has another name, and it's on your homework. This is called the Nirvana that doesn't stay. And it means the Nirvana that doesn't stay in the two problems. What are the two problems? Number one, just normal life. These people way down here, normal people, two year olds. Life is hurting them every day, and life will kill them in the end, and they have no idea what's going on. They don't know anything about seeds. They work hard. They have hope. They have kids. They get a job. They collect money. They build a house. Then they die and lose everything. They didn't know what was happening when they had the kids. They didn't know what was happening when they built the house. They didn't know why they died. So, that's one bad place. That's a bad place to be. They're just like those cows that, you know, you feed them food for five years and then you kill them. Those cows are so innocent. They're like, oh, come in this house, you know. We will cut your neck, you know. We will make steak. They're like, okay. So, that's one bad place to be. That's called staying. It means staying in a bad place. Now, there's a more dangerous place, and that's a lower nirvana. How do you feel? I feel good. Why? I understand the pen. Then why do you feel good about understanding the pen? My husband cannot upset me anymore. I'm in nirvana. No matter how bad he acts, he cannot make me upset. I'm in nirvana. Okay, there's a joke in the monastery. I was walking down the street. Walking down the street in the monastery is not an easy thing. All the roads in the monastery are dirt roads, and three months every year it rains all day. So, what's the purpose of your shoes? It's to protect your feet. But during monsoon, rainy time in the monastery, when you open the door to go outside, you take off your shoes and you hold them in your hand. So, why you have shoes, I don't know. Then you walk through the ... All the streets are mud. Then I remember one day I'm ... and I can hear another ... coming. Then I turn the corner, one of my lamas is there. Then he's like, where have you been? Then I thought, I want to make him happy. I said, I was in the yoga class. Then he's like, it was a long class, it was a two hour class. I said, I was in the yoga class. Then he ... I said it was a ... in fact it was a two hour class. I want to impress him. I said, in fact it was a two hour class. Then he said, why you do that yoga? Why? I said, so I can eat Krispy Kreme donuts. No, I said, I don't want to get fat. I want to be healthy. He said, so you spend two hours in the yoga so you can be healthy. I said, yeah. Then he started to walk away. Then he turned around and he said, ha ha, you two hours closer to die. During the yoga class, you got two hours closer to die. And it's true. So, most people just like cow, they don't understand. But if you got lower nirvana, it's like you are in the yoga class. You will die. Your suffering is not finished. Your mind is okay, you don't get angry at your husband. But the body is still getting old. The body was created before you learned about the pen and all those things. So, that's kind of a second kind of bad place to stay. And if you reach level five, which is nirvana, but in the beginning you had the idea, why us? Then when you reach the end, you are in higher nirvana. It has another name. The nirvana where you are not staying in the two bad places. That's on your homework. What are the two bad places? Number one, just normal life. Okay? Just normal life. Or, you already reached nirvana, you are hanging out happy and you don't understand your body going to die. So, there's a big difference between nirvana and Buddhahood. Did Buddha reach nirvana? Yes. Is he in a lower nirvana? No. He or she is in a higher nirvana. Okay? So, okay, ready? We have to do more, okay? I'm sorry. That's my job. They will take a break, okay? Pretty soon. At this place, I'm sorry, let's talk about this one. Let's talk about this one. At this place we can call you, you got in the boat in the stream and the boat will go to here in a definitely go. You cannot stop the boat. So, this is called, sometimes called stream enterer. Sometimes called Arya. Sometimes called saw emptiness directly. And it has many names. Okay? Then this one, nirvana, you can call nirvana. You can call enemy destroyer, which also means worthy person. You deserve to have other people make offerings to you. You deserve to have other people bow down to you. So, this has several names. You can call nirvana. You can call enemy destroyer, which in Sanskrit is arhat. But you can also call Mr. Deserve, or Mrs., they deserve people's respect. The Sanskrit word means both, arhat. Okay. Now, between enemy destroyer and stream enterer, there's two more levels inside number four and they're on your homework. And these four are called the four results of practicing good karma. You learn the first one, you learn the fourth one. First one is Arya. So, now I'm talking about four that fit in these three. This guy or girl is already Arya. That's the first of the four results of practicing good karma. The last one you also learned already. Enemy destroyer. So, the fourth result of practicing the path of good karma is called enemy destroyer. It happens on the fifth path. The first of the four results of practicing good karma is called stream enterer. Which path it happens on? Third path. Now, between here, during the fourth path, there's two more results of practicing good karma. One is called Mr. or Mrs. have to come back to this place one more time. Mr. or Mrs. have to come back to this place one more time. What's this place? We call desire realm. So, the world we are living in, the Buddhist universe, the Buddhist universe has three parts. It's like a birthday cake. Okay? The lowest level is called desire realm. Why? Yeah, people want two things. Sex and food. So, here the main theme, what people like, is food or sex or food and sex. Okay? So, this part of the Buddhist birthday cake has three layers, right? We are in the lower layer and it's called desire realm. Now, I'll tell you something interesting. If you practice the lion's dance every day, but you never get past the air conditioner, you will be reborn in the desire realm. Okay? You will be in the lower part of the cake. Okay? If you do the heartbeat, or inside the heart, or inside the sugar crystal, and you do it every day, you will be born in the second layer of the cake. Then that layer is hard to see from this layer. But you can say this is where all the superheroes live. Spider-Man is there. Iron Man is there. Thor is there. Okay? You know, why we like those movies? You have been there before countless times. Everybody in this room has been Iron Man. Okay? Everybody has been Spider-Man. Every man in this room was Miss Mexico many times. You cannot count the number of times that each man in this room has been Miss Mexico. You cannot count. [Speaker 2] There is no number. [Speaker 1] You have been president of the United States countless times. So, the second part of the cake, it's called the form realm. It means you have super cool body. You can call super cool body realm. And everybody looks like Marvel comic book somebody. And it comes from very good karma in this life. So, why you make such good karma during the lion's dance by just listening to your heart? Yeah. When you are in the heart listening to the bunk-a-bunk-a-bunk-a-bunk. [Speaker 2] Okay? [Speaker 1] You don't have time to get mad at your husband. You cannot think about how irritating your husband is if you are inside the heart listening to bunk-a-bunk-a-bunk-a-bunk. You can't do both. If you start to think about your husband and you get upset, you're going to lose the bunk-a-bunk-a-bunk. So, if your focus is very good during those parts of the lion dance, you don't have time to get upset at your husband. So, you make less bad karma than usual. So, you get to be Iron Man for a thousand years or something. So, is that a good goal? We say no. Why? When you're fifty dollars, when you're Iron Man, to be so handsome, and rich, and powerful, you burn up all your good karma. So, people who live in the second part of the cake, when they die, they always go to hell. Because they used up their debit card completely. Now, there's a third layer of the cake. If you want to go there, you could do the drop in the ocean meditation, or the sky meditation, or the turn off your mind with trying to stop your thoughts, or the turn off your mind and don't try to stop your thoughts. I'll take a coffee, you take a cup. Then you can go to the third part of the cake. It's called formless realm. Your body is so cool you don't have a body. Actually, if you die today and you did those meditations a lot, you enter the third part of the cake wherever you are sitting. Like, if I'm doing just those meditations, and I die in this chair, I will stay, Michael, next life Michael will be here for his whole life, because he's not any place. He has no physical body. His mind will be born here, and it will stay here until he dies. Then again, when he dies, he goes from the third level of the cake directly to hell because he used up all his good karma debit card by being a being with no body. So Geshe-la, why are you teaching us those meditations if they're going to send us to hell? You're not supposed to focus on those meditations. They are just to prepare your mind to get closer to your past life. They are just the train to your past life. Then you have to get out of the train, you know, check out your past life. It's like you take a bus from Guadalajara to Mexico City, because you want to visit a restaurant in Mexico City. Tuscany? Toscana. Okay, so it's like you get in the bus in Guadalajara. It's a small local bus. Ten hours later, you reach Mexico City, and you watch Toscana restaurant from the window, and you forget to get out of the bus. Then the bus goes ten hours back to Guadalajara. [Speaker 2] You see? [Speaker 1] So don't stop on those meditations. You got to get off the bus. Enjoy some emptiness meditation. Oh, this teacher don't come from the teacher. Everything I see about this teacher come from my good karma in my past life. Get out of the bus. Check out your past life. Because your mind is ready, your mind is all focused. From the heartbeat, and from the ocean, and from the turning on. But that's just the bus. Don't forget to get out of the bus. Check out your past life. And think about, boy, this teacher's good qualities are coming from me. That's an emptiness meditation. Then it's traditional to get back in the bus. Go back down those meditations in reverse, and get out at the air conditioner, and go to work. Okay? Okay, got it? Why are we talking about that? I also don't remember. I do remember. There were four results of the practice of good karma. We only covered the first one and the last one. This one is stream entering. This one was enemy destroyer. This one is called only have to come back one more time to the first level of the cake, to the desire realm. Very... not very elegant realm. People getting burned on their whole body. Okay, like not very cool place to come. People getting old. People's head getting air conditioning. Okay? So, it's actually good. You only have to come back one more time. That's the second of the four results of good karma. Guess what's number three? You never have to come back to the first level of the cake. Okay, you will be born as Iron Man, and as Iron Man you will reach Nirvana. Okay, no trip to hell. Okay, understand? So, it's pretty cool. [Speaker 2] Alright. [Speaker 1] Whew, we finished this question. Let me see if we finished this whole ... yeah. Okay, I think we better take a break there. Main parts of the method for achieving Nirvana. Number one. Keep studying emptiness. Keep working on the pen. If you're a masochist, it means if you like to hurt yourself, come to Nagarjuna program in October. Okay? Or try to do DCI level seven. It's extremely useful. And we are doing it all over the world. Tell your husband you're going to Paris just for class. I mean, then do level seven, but also enjoy Paris. Something like that. [Speaker 2] Okay? [Speaker 1] You can find that schedule on diamondcutterinstitute.com. Okay? So, just try to do ... Like, there's a very great ... One of the best ACI groups in the world is Guadalajara Sangha. So, yeah. And for that, we really have to thank Alejandro Julien. So, when you see him, always send him thank you, because of him. So, debido a esto que Guadalajara es muy buen grupo, tenemos que reconocer y agradecer a Alejandro Julien. Así que, cuando lo vean, pues agradezcanle. So, three steps to get to Nirvana fast. Well, if you count Tara coffee, it's four. Si cuentas Tara café, son cuatro pasos. Just three. So, take lots of ACI courses. Study wisdom. And together with that second method, do your meditation regularly. Meditation is like exercise, like yoga, or jogging, or ... A little bit every day is better than a big, big effort, and then you don't do anything for a week. My yoga teacher, one of my early yoga teachers, he said, just try to get your feet on the yoga mat every day. That's all. Get the feet on the yoga mat. But he doesn't know me. Many times I stand on the yoga mat, and then I roll it up, have some breakfast. So the butt has to meet the meditation cushion. Así que el trasero tiene que tocar el cojín de meditación. The butt says to the meditation cushion, oh, good morning! And supposed to be you will do a little meditation if the butt meets the yoga cushion, but they don't, maybe I don't know you. Then they, along with the meditation together, second method right? For nirvana. You know, if you want to be boring, you can say morality, morality. Si quieres sonar aburrido, puedes llamarle moralidad. I don't like the word morality. To me it sounds like old people, I don't know why. Older than 66, okay? Then, after many years, I think it's just be nice to people. Morality sounds boring and difficult to me, I know. But just be happy, be friendly, be nice to people. Okay. That's the second half of the second step you need to reach nirvana. So, meditation, and along with, together with, just have fun, be nice to people. Be a happy person. We all have problems, trust me. I have air conditioning problem you don't have. Then we all have our special problem. Then, it's not, whatever problem you have, it's really not very big. We saw the doctors here treating people who burn their whole body, you know. They have problem. We don't have problem. We should give them a hand again, okay? Don't leave without the money, okay? Maybe these guys will keep, I don't know. Just kidding. Okay, third step to reach nirvana. Yeah. Try to keep a small list of the breakthroughs you have about emptiness. Okay, like I start to have a fight with Rai this morning. Okay. We start to have a fight. Then I remember the two husbands. And we delay the fight for ten minutes. Then we have a fight. But this is progress. So, keep small list, you know. Oh, I remembered emptiness this morning for five minutes. Then I had a fight. Then I forgot emptiness. Don't think you're going to stop your fights in one day. It's not going to happen. This year I knew Veronica for fifty years, okay? Fifty years. So, we don't fight. But you know. Okay? So, don't expect in one day or ten days. But you make progress every day. Kind of try to remember the days when you had progress. Okay, those are the three methods for reaching nirvana. And...
