They tell me they don't turn the air conditioner on in the building until 8.30 or 9.00. 10 o'clock? They're going to be asleep by then. Well, we'll have to do the important stuff earlier.

So I'm going to show you how we review in a monastery, how we review a class. So Ningbo, are you ready? In the monastery, this is how they check you the next day.

[Говорящий 2]
The body doesn't have any channels in it? The body doesn't have channels in it?

[Говорящий 1]
Yes. Show me. How many katsuya?

72,000. Huh? 72,000.

Oh, 72,000. Tell me 72,000. Yes.

72,000. Three of them are principle channels? That's true.

Show me. Give me the three principle channels. Left, right, and center.

When he says something bad, you have to go... They don't have bad names in that. They have other names.

Yeah. Show me. Give me one.

Anyone? Three. Two.

Okay, anyone. Pingula. If you can't say it to me, one is okay.

Yeah, one is... Tell me, one is the pingula? Yeah.

Yeah, sorry. Pingula is a white color. By the way, your job is to say yes or no.

You are the defender. And I'm the katsuya. And then you just say yes or no.

So, pingula is a white color. Inside the pingula goes thoughts of anger. Yes.

Yeah, good. And in the central channel goes Starbucks thoughts. So, in the central channel goes anger thoughts.

No. Good. In the central channel goes thoughts of wisdom, compassion, love, understanding, etc.

But it doesn't have a Sanskrit name. It doesn't have a Sanskrit name. It does have a Sanskrit name.

Give me a Sanskrit name. Sushumna. Sushumna.

No, it's not. Sushumna is on the right. No.

So, the sushumna is not on the right. What's on the right? Hida.

Hida. So, the hida is on the right. No.

So, the hida is not on the right. Yes. So, the hida is on the left.

Yes. So, the hida is never on the right. Yes.

No. So, the hida is mostly on the left, but sometimes it's on the right. Yes.

Okay, good. When they hida in the finger line, do they curve around the central channel? Yes.

When they curve, what do they call that in Sanskrit? What's on the line? It's a pre-chakra line.

Pre-chakra.

[Говорящий 2]
Pre-chakra.

[Говорящий 1]
Just before the chakra line. Ganpati. Nobody can explain how a ganpati turns into a chakra.

Yes we can. Good, show. Not me.

No, what happens? Why does the chakra come out? They got knots.

Yeah, because of the knots, it builds up pressure and then it splits off its side and it causes a chakra. Right? OK.

Notice the three channels don't connect anywhere. Three channels, Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna, they don't connect anywhere at all. So they do connect.

It's a shock. Where do they connect? Here.

Here. Oh. OK, good, good.

Try again. Where do they connect? How far below the navel?

Yeah, four finger widths. Four finger widths, I believe. And for you, Anjali, Nygma was a famous yogi who was a prince in ancient India.

Oh. And Nygma was his wife. Yeah, roughly, OK.

I think it was maybe seven years. This is a very difficult question. Nygma lived on a certain river in India.

Yes. First of all, which river? The Ganges.

Yeah, the Ganges. And on an island called? Sosan.

On an island called Sosan, right? So which one was the yoga teacher? The Nygma or Naropa?

Naropa. So Nygma, huh? Yes, Naropa.

So which one was the yoga teacher, Nygma or Naropa? OK. So Naropa wasn't it.

Naropa was. Good. So sometimes when you ask a question in a debate, you ask a trick question.

You say, which one was the yoga teacher? OK? But the answer is both.

OK? So you're just supposed to confuse the other person. This is the skill of debating, OK?

Nobody can tell me that. Now we learn something new, OK? How to learn something new.

Nobody can tell me the name of the chakra, which is like the perineum. Can't tell me the name of the chakra of the perineum. You're telling me it's mudadara?

That's not correct, because mudadara is at the heart. Yes or no? No.

Mudadara is at the heart. No. Mudadara is not at the heart.

[Говорящий 2]
Yes.

[Говорящий 1]
Which chakra is at the heart? Anahata. Anahata.

Nobody can tell me what anahata means. Uninteresting. Shh.

Unbelievable. OK? In English.

OK? So it means not, right? Ah means very much.

Hata means to start, to do something. So the heart is the chakra which is beating, but nobody hit it. It's like a drum.

It's going padam, padam, padam. But nobody, without beating, it's a drum. Without beating, it's beating.

OK? Without hitting, it's beating. Anahata.

OK? Anahata. What's the meaning of mudadara?

What's the meaning of mula? Besides money. Yeah.

Mula means rule. OK? And dara?

To hold. To hold. Which English words come from dara?

It's hard. I should make you do yoga. Yeah, dara came into English as tree.

And that became the word truth, because it was study. And then in Celtic, to see the truth is druvid. Druvid.

Nobody can tell me the name of the chakra at the end. Let's do this next one. Yeah.

He told me yesterday. Guess what? I just said top of the crackers.

People have different crackers. You should say top of pilgrim. Yeah, like that.

You know. It's not here, right? It's here.

What is the name of this chakra? Do you know? Yes.

You say slavish. Slavish. Slavish.

Slavish. Slavish. Slavish.

OK? This one? Anybody know?

Money. Money. Money.

Money. Money. Money.

Money. Money means jewel. Like all money.

Means jewel. So money means jewel. Pura means city.

Because P comes into English as L. R changes into L. So what does it mean?

It means full. OK? Pura means full.

So cities are full of people. So they came to be called Pura. Pura means, like all in India where I grew up, it means full.

Full of people. And then that came into flower, meaning poop. Poop.

And like that. Ball comes from that. The word ball comes from that.

So money Pura means full of joys. That chakra. Anybody know the name of that?

That chakra? It's sugar. Why?

Sugar means to make pure, right? But why? By the way, that came into sweat.

And that turned into sweet. Because sugar you have to make by making it pure. Sugar came.

So swada means sweet. Sudha means to make pure. What does the Vishuddha do?

This is where the process of digestion starts. You chew and you swallow here. So the purification into the good part and the waste starts here.

Division starts here, the Vishuddha. Then what is this one called? Sahasrara.

Say sahas.

[Говорящий 2]
Sahasrara. It's two different words, okay?

[Говорящий 1]
First one is sahasra. Sahasra. Sahasra.

Yeah, say sahasra.

[Говорящий 2]
Sahasra.

[Говорящий 1]
That means 1,000. And then ara means spokes of a wheel. So sahasra ara means 1,000 spokes.

So it got shortened into spoke of a wheel, right? So this believed that it had 1,000 channels coming, side channels. So they call sahasra.

Sahasra ara. So it became sahasrara, okay? In Tibet they call a little bit different names.

I don't know. I'm thinking we should do asana. What do you want to do?

Nah. You'd rather die sitting or you'd rather die from heat in the... That's it.

You'd rather sit? Oh, okay. In Tibet the names are a little bit different, okay?

So I'll tell you. This one is called... Which one?

Sambhoga? Say sambhoga. Sambhoga.

I'm sorry. Nirvana. Nirvana.

Say nirvana. Nirvana. Nirvana means...

What's the goal of yoga? Nobody can tell me the name of the right hand channel in the old, old, old sense. So it's not the finger one?

It's older than finger one. It's very short.

[Говорящий 2]
Oh. Ta. Oh, it's ta.

[Говорящий 1]
Ta. Good. And this one?

Ta. Ta. Yeah.

So what's the goal of yoga? Hatha. To make the hatha into yoga.

[Говорящий 2]
Yeah.

[Говорящий 1]
To join hatha. Hatha yoga. To join the ha and the ta into the center.

It's called hatha yoga, right? What happens then? The chakras disappear.

The chakras are creating flesh. They create your rib cage. Why is there a rib cage here and not here?

Because there's three knots around the... There are three knots in the channel here, okay? So it grows harder.

The bone comes from the three knots in the... In the... In the ida and the pingala and the sushumna.

So this one gets... Can I have the... This one gets...

This one... I want to show you something really beautiful. Do you have a coin or anything like that?

Oh, that's okay. I can use this. At the heart, there are three knots around the central channel, right?

Like that, okay? So it's harder to open and it's harder to untwist at the heart. It's the...

Sorry. It's the most difficult one, all right? And that's why your bones grow here.

That's why you have a rib cage. Why do you have two nostrils? Yeah, that's where ida and pingala come down, right?

They come down further, okay? If you had... If the sushumna came down further, you would have three nostrils.

Really, really. It's funny. How do we release the pressure on ida and pingala?

Smile, okay? Lasya asana. Lasya asana, okay?

Lasya means smiling. How to increase pressure on them? Or this, okay?

Then they stretch here, and this tightens, and then the sushumna can't go. So I wanted to show you something. In India, they call it kosha, right?

Say kosha. So kosha we call dhamka. Dhamka means you can spell it two different ways, okay?

You can say kosha. You can't turn your tongue back. Kosha.

Just sha. Or you can say kosha. And it means...

Kosha means... Do you know when you have a sword, and you put it in a sheath? That sheath is called a kosha, okay?

And so kosha came to mean an envelope. Sometimes it means treasure chest, where you put the jewels and the gold. Sometimes they call it kosha.

And then that came kothari. The treasurer was called kothari, and that became kothari. So kothari...

All the kotharis in India are accounting caste from the old days of the kings, you know? So there is an idea about five koshas, which I wanted to talk about, okay? Because this will help you a lot.

First kosha is called anamaya kosha, okay? Anamaya kosha. I didn't put it in your reading, but you are going faster.

It's A-N-M-A-M-A-Y-A-K-O-S-H-A, okay? Anamaya kosha. Anybody need a pen?

Anybody need a pen? You want? Okay.

Ana means food, okay? Maya means made of, okay? Produced by.

And then kosha... Maya also means illusion. That's a different spelling, okay?

It's a different word. I heard some yoga teachers explain it the wrong way. It's funny.

So maya means produced by. Ana means food. Kosha means envelope or sheet or layer.

I like to think about an onion, okay? You can think of it like an onion. You know how it grows layers of an onion, right?

And if there is a bump on the onion, right, in the inside, then the next layer will have the same bump. The bump will be repeated. So some onion has a bump on it and you open the pieces of the onion and in the middle you find a little bump, you know?

So whatever shape is on the inside, the other layers will take the same shape, okay? I used to live in New York and we had ice storms. Like there would be ice, just falling ice, not snow, just ice.

And then on the tree branch, you would have ice. One covering of ice. That's a kosha.

That's a kosha. And then the next day there would be another ice storm and then that would also cover the tree and that's a second kosha. And then it will follow the same shape as the tree, right?

So you have to think like that. The koshas are following the shape of the inside. So anamaya kosha is the layer of you which was created by food, which is your body, your physical body, okay?

That's almost the most outside part of it. It's the first layer of the onion, okay? That kosha, that outside layer, is sustained by its food, is prana, okay?

It is being sustained by prana. So the next kosha down, the next layer down, is called pranamaya kosha. So prana is the basis of your body, okay?

Prana is the basis of your body. And that means the nadis also, the channels, okay? Because you have two ida pingala, you have two nostrils, okay?

And then you have two eyes and you have two arms. They are forming like ice. Your body has formed around your channels.

You have a spine because the sushumna is there. That's why you have a spine, okay? The sushumna came first.

And then in your mother's womb, the bones grow around the sushumna. They are a reflection. Your anamaya kosha, your physical body, is a reflection of your prana, okay?

If your prana is smooth, the body is smooth. If the prana is shaky, then the body is shaky, nervous, okay? Like that.

Your body has grown. I like to do it this way. This is your prana, right?

And then this is your... My shirt is the body. And it takes the same shape, you see?

So that's the... This is anamaya kosha. And then this was the prana maya kosha, okay?

Meaning the channels, okay? They grew around the channels. So you have ribs.

You have bones here because of the knot in the channels. And that's why you die, okay? The chakras kill you, all right?

Anybody who has chakras will die. This is nature. And the chakras are a problem.

They are choking the prana. The prana can't move. So the prana grows these skin and bones and meat.

And they die. They must die, okay? In a normal person, they die.

And so we are living in a world, you know... Nobody comes into a yoga class and says, Joaquim, please tell me how not to die. You know, like...

My mother wants to lose weight. My brother wants to look muscular. Personally, I want not to die.

Or I want to stay young and I don't want to get old. I don't want to die. I don't want to get old.

Somebody comes in a yoga class and says, Can you teach me that? And that's the real goal of yoga. That was the original goal of yoga.

How do you reverse the chakras? Because they are... Our body, kosha, was created on top of the chakras.

Like ice on a tree, okay? So can you... Is it possible to reverse the process?

And is everybody in the world making a big mistake? You know? Is it possible to stop death itself?

And... Is it possible to untwist this and change the body, the nature of the body? This is a very interesting question.

Nobody wants to talk about it. Nobody wants to talk about death. I didn't see a dead person for a long time.

In America, they protect you. You know, they don't let you see the dead people. Then I went to some poor countries and I saw death, you know?

And we don't like to talk about it. But the idea of yoga is can you change the nature of the chakras? Chakras are causing the physical body.

And can you open them and can you release... Can you turn it... It should be light.

The body is made of light. And can you turn it into something that doesn't die, doesn't get old, okay? So that's the second kosha, is your prana.

Below the prana is manomaya kosha, okay? Mano means manas. Manas means the mind, okay?

It came into English as mental, right? So manomaya kosha means your thoughts. If your thoughts are angry, okay?

I didn't get Starbucks, you know? I want Starbucks. I didn't get Starbucks, okay?

If your thoughts are traveling in the pingala, if the prana goes in the pingala, the thoughts will go in the pingala. If the thoughts go in the pingala, the prana has to go in the pingala. They follow each other.

They are tied together. They don't have a choice. They are like a horse and a rider, but he's tied on the horse.

He can never get off the horse, okay? So if the prana... Where the thoughts go, the prana has to go.

So you can say this is... Your thoughts are round. Then your chakras become more smooth, and then your body looks better, you see?

Because they are forming like an onion, okay? Your thoughts are good. Then your prana takes the same shape, and then your body takes the same shape, okay?

So if your thoughts are running in the ida and pingala, then you will have a nose with two parts, okay? Okay? Because the thought pulls the prana, and the prana pulls the body, got it?

Like that. So manomayakosha is in the middle, and then the pranamayakosha forms around that, and then the anamayakosha forms around that. The thoughts are good or bad.

They are shaped. And then the prana takes the same shape, and then the body takes the same shape, okay? Like that, okay?

Is there anything under the thoughts? Is there anything under the thoughts? We say vijnana mayakosha, okay?

Vijnana. Nowadays in India they say vijnana or something like that. The old pronunciation is vijnana.

Anybody know Russian? I do. Yeah.

How do you say, I know? Znaya. Yeah, znaya.

It came into Russian correctly, okay? Znya. But that J in Sanskrit, it became what in English?

The J in Sanskrit became like znya. J and Z. It became a K.

And that's why no is spelled with a K, okay? Why do you say, I know? And why does it have a K there?

You know, just to drive kids in school crazy. You know? Teacher, why K?

Why don't you say kano?

[Говорящий 2]
You know?

[Говорящий 1]
It came from znya, gnya, gnyana, znyana, okay? And in Russian they still pronounce it correctly. It came from Sanskrit as znya, znya.

So vijnana mayakosha. Vijnana usually means your consciousness, right? If you don't have vijnana, you won't feel hot right now.

You will just be unconscious, okay? Vijnana is your consciousness, all right? Vijnana is your consciousness.

This is something important. So the body grows around your prana. Prana grows around your thoughts.

But why did your prana come that way? And why did you have that thought? Why are you hearing these things today?

You know? Like you're a yoga teacher for years probably, right? Like you went to many yoga classes.

Maybe, I don't know. But why are you hearing it today about these things? What happened?

You know? I met Colin for lunch. What happened?

Why are we meeting together today? What happened? I flew from the United States.

What's the cause? Huh? Yeah, she said, Vicky said, we call a seed in your mind, okay?

You have a seed inside of you. You have some kind of seed, okay? And then that's growing into me.

You are seeing me, okay? Do you have a pen? Yeah.

This is good luck. All right. We're going to talk about this tonight, by the way.

Where? Somewhere. Gisela's Love Center in Shillong.

They said, Gisela, you came to Hong Kong many times. You gave lecture number one many times. Can you give a difficult lecture?

So I'll give you a little bit, okay? What is this thing? A pen.

You can say a pen, okay? But if a dog comes in the room, right? Some little dog.

And I go like this, okay, yummy. Here you go, here's a pen. What will he do with the pen?

He will buy it, okay? So to the dog, this is not a pen, okay? To a dog, this is some, what do you call?

Chewing toy. Chew toy, okay? So the dog, he looks at the pen.

He doesn't think, oh, I should write a letter. He doesn't think his dog girlfriend, you know, to write her a letter. Poem, maybe.

You have a nice tail, I like it. He's not, he doesn't think about it, right? He see, he come in, sometimes I say baby dog, puppy dog.

And he sees this thing and he start to, what do you call? He's like, and then he bites it, right? Then if I, when you look at it, you know, nobody in here is going to run up here and take it from you, you know?

When I did the three-year retreat, I did three-year silent retreat. Didn't meet anybody. Stayed in one room for three years.

But I was outside in the desert, in the mountain. And so all the animals, if you don't talk for three years, all the animals come. And they become your friend.

It's very beautiful. So first came birds. Because you are not talking, so they're not afraid of you.

Because they talk with their, they talk, when you don't speak for three years, you can almost understand their language, you know? They are, they are like, so then they start to come, you know? And they trust you.

So after like, after one year, the birds will come. You know? And then second year, the rabbit started to come to my house and sit with me, you know?

And so I had one rabbit, used to come, I used to feed cookie, you know? Swiss cookie. And then one day, I forgot to come out to make the cookie, give the cookie.

So they banging on the door with the arm. And then I open, okay, okay, here you go. And then, then I didn't have poo-poo place.

I didn't have electricity. Just people bring me food under the thing, and I did poo-poo in a little, like, jar and I have to hand it out to them every day. So no electricity.

And no, nothing. And then, so one day I'm sitting, I'm doing poo-poo, you know? And the rabbit came up to me.

Bang, bang. My leg, I said, later, later. I'm busy.

And he's knocking on my leg, you know? And I'm like, later, later. Then he look at me, and then he went to the near here, and he start to make a hole like that.

It was very beautiful. So made a pretty big hole, like this big. And then spread legs and gave baby into the hole, you know?

Gave three babies into the hole, you know? It's very beautiful. Then took grass in the teeth, you know?

And covered the hole. And then covered with dirt, you know? And then look at me.

Then I found out it's not a boy. Then I realized it's a girl, you know? And she want to show me she's making babies, you know?

She was so happy. And she's, like, hitting my leg, you know? So I'm like, yeah, good, good.

And then she ran away for about four or five days because she's covered with blood. And we have coyote, you know, wolf. We have pretty big wolves where I live.

So they are very dangerous. They love the rabbit. So she smells like blood very much.

So she has to run away to protect the babies. If she stays, the wolf will dig up the babies. So she ran away for five days.

I think she want me to watch them. Then after five days, I am pooping. And then this ding, this little head comes out of the hole.

And they are very tiny, like this big, you know? But the ears don't grow because the ears are cartilage, right? They don't grow.

So they are full size. So the head is tiny, tiny head and big, big ears, you know? And very beautiful, you know?

And they come out. And then they try to jump, and they fall. Three of them, you know?

And they are just falling over like that. So I had... I used to feed them.

And you try to give them biscuit, right? And they... First, they are very gentle, like that.

Then they... Why did I say that? We were talking about...

[Говорящий 2]
Oh, the pen, yeah.

[Говорящий 1]
So if I give it to the dog... You just got rabid explanation, okay? Then later the coyotes came.

And I used to feed the coyotes. It was very beautiful. But you take the pen.

They will take the pen like that, okay? So I have a question for you. Dog sees something to chew.

I see pen, right? Who's right? You can say both, right?

If you are animal rights, you have to say both. They are... Both are correct, okay?

So at the same time, this is a pen and this is a chew toy. Can you say that at the same time? You can say.

You have to say. I think you have to say. I also chew on it sometimes.

But that's a different thing. What if you leave it here? What if you put it here?

And I go and the dog goes? Then what is it? By itself.

No person. No dog. Then what is it?

Yeah, she said like this. Marina, right? She said like this.

That's correct, okay? You have to say it's just a black thing. It's not a pen yet.

And it's not a chew toy yet. By itself. Then next question comes.

These are important, okay? Why do I see a pen? And why does the dog see something to chew?

Why? What caused that? Everything has a cause, right?

Why? What happened? You can say knowledge.

We would say a seed in your mind. There's something in my mind that he doesn't have. And there's something in his mind that I don't have, okay?

There's some kind of power or what do you call it? Energy in my mind. We call seed.

We call mental seed. That seed opens. When I held this up, one seed opened in your mind.

And you saw a pen. So can we say that the pen is not coming this way? Okay?

The pen is not out there coming this way. Can we say the pen is coming this way? I think you have to say that.

If it's coming this way, then the dog will ride his girlfriend. Right? If the pen is coming this way, then the dog will ride to...

It is like announcing, I am a pen, I am a pen. And the dog will say, okay, I want to use a pen. But it's not coming...

This proof, it's not coming this way. It's coming from us. Something in my mind is making a pen.

And something in the dog's mind is making a chew toy. Something coming this way. Okay?

Where did that come from? Why do I have the seed and he doesn't have the seed? Why?

Where did it come... Who put the seed in my mind? How do you put the seed in your mind?

He said, Dylan said, you did. We say, agree, 100% agree. The only person who can open the door in your own mind and put a seed there is yourself.

Nobody else can do it. Nobody can put a seed in your mind. You put the seed in your mind.

How? How did I put a seed in my mind to see a pen? How did I put the seed there?

You ready? You ready? Watch.

Ready? Here we go. He doesn't have a pen.

I'm sorry, Teddy. You don't have a pen. You know, you can't take notes today.

So you're not going to remember anything except you heard it 5,000 times before. So I know you need a pen. Now, I only have one pen.

And I like this pen. I get these pens from Japan. I really like them, okay?

And my friends know and they all send me these pens. You don't have to do, okay? They are already doing.

So, I'm going to sacrifice. I'm going to give you my pen. So I put the pen towards him.

Now, my video camera is on. My video camera is on. Where?

In my mind. And the lens is my eyes, right? The glass is my eyes.

My mind is recording everything. My eyes are glass, right? And I am watching and I let go of the pen.

And it's recorded in my mind, okay? That puts a seed in my mind because of my intention, okay? My intention is kindness.

My intention, look, I only have one pen. I really like those pens. They are hard to get, okay?

But he doesn't have a pen. And he's not going to remember all this stuff. So, okay, I will give you something of mine.

This is mine. But I'm giving it to you. When I let go, when I let go of it, it makes a seed in my mind.

And then, that's why I see a pen in the future. That's why. And the dog didn't do that, okay?

The dog didn't do that. So, they don't have the same seed. What's your favorite musician?

Neil Young.

[Говорящий 2]
Right?

[Говорящий 1]
Right? I mean, Daphne Tse is close, and her guitar partner. They are close, maybe number two.

But number one is, the best in the world is Neil Young, right? Agree? No, you have to say, no, I like Neil Young's okay, but I like Michelle Branch, or I don't know who he's talking about.

I like somebody else, okay? Why do different people like different songs? If it's the best song, if it's the number one song, everyone should like it, because it's number one, right?

But sometimes you don't like the number one song, okay? Because you have a different seed. You are hearing something else.

I did the three-year retreat, right? One thousand days. We have to stay three years, three months, and three days.

And then, first six months, it's very, very good. You know, the meditation, you feel very quiet. For the first time in your life, you have to give up all of your things, okay?

You're not allowed, you can't, I have to give up my company at that time, two thousand. In two thousand years, I gave up all my money, gave away to the poor people, everything. Then you are not allowed to keep any things.

So all your things you have to give away. And then all of your, even in the, if you need some food, or you need some medicine, you have to write a note, right? You cannot use your old name.

You have to give up your name. I'm not Michael for three years. Nobody called me Michael, and I didn't sign any Michael for three years.

I have just a sign, son. But I have to sign everything with a son. So even I don't have my name.

I'm supposed to give up my money, all of my house, all my things, give away all my clothes, and just, even my name, supposed to give up, okay? Then six months you feel very happy. You're like, I'm free, you know?

Everything I give up, you know? And you feel, you know, meditating, everything is quiet, everything is good. Just the rabbits and some birds.

And, you know, your friends are very simple. They don't complain.

[Говорящий 2]
You know.

[Говорящий 1]
Also ants. You become a big friend with ants, you know? Aww.

You begin to recognize different ants. How are you today? And then you feel happy.

Six months you feel happy. Then, for me, after six months, one day I am meditating, and I go, uh-oh, uh-oh. I'm going, why?

Then I start to meditate. Uh-oh, uh-oh. Uh-oh, spaghetti.

Uh-oh, spaghetti. And I'm, what is that? You know, and then finally I'm meditating, and finally I hear, uh-oh, spaghetti, uh-oh.

Uh-oh, spaghetti, uh-oh. And then I'm like, what is that, you know? And then I, I remember when I was five years old, and I'm watching the television.

There's one spaghetti, and they are selling spaghetti. Advertisement on TV. They go, uh-oh, spaghetti, uh-oh.

Uh-oh, spaghetti. I said, that's true. You know, it's coming in my mind so strong, this song.

I didn't hear that song for over 30 years, 40 years. I didn't hear that song. But it's in my mind.

Everything you, your mind is like video camera. Your eyes and your ears are like the, what do you call, this lens, right? And, and everything you hear, everything you do, even your own thoughts, they are recorded perfectly.

And it stays in your mind for, for 40, 50, 60 years. You, what you, what, what television you are watching yesterday. Oh, I went to see Iron Man number two, not yesterday, but a few days ago.

Okay? So all of those details, all of the music, all of the explosions, all of the machine guns, those are all recorded in my mind. They are there.

And, and those are seeds in my mind. Okay? So when I gave him the pen, uh, sorry, nothing is lost, ever.

Nothing is lost, ever. Everything stays in your mind. Everything you did, everything you said, everything you think, privately, is recorded.

And it, and it creates your, you ready? Outside is, uh, outside, down here, is Manomaya Kosha, your thoughts. They shape your prana.

That shapes your body, outside body, right? But below the thoughts, why did you have that thought? Why did that thought come to you?

Why did you see a pen? It's an old seed, okay? It's what thought you had before made a seed.

That's this Nyanamaya Kosha, okay? That's the next kosha, in the middle, okay? Towards the middle is your seeds, okay?

So your body forms around your prana. Your prana forms around your thoughts. And your thoughts form around your seeds, okay?

And the seeds were put there by what you did in the past, okay? If you are an angry person to somebody, then the seeds will come out, and you will hear angry thoughts in your mind. Ahimsa pratishthayam tatsa nidavairatyaga.

Do you know this one? Ahimsa pratishthayam tatsa nidavairatyaga, in, uh, second chapter, Yoga Sutra, okay? Ahimsa means what?

Nonviolence, okay? Ah means not, right? Like atheist, or agnostic, or apolitical, or apathetic.

[Говорящий 2]
What do you mean when you say past? The seeds were put there by what you did in the past. Okay, go on.

[Говорящий 1]
Well, I'll explain. It takes time in the mind to wrap it. It takes time in the mind.

If I give him a pen today, it puts a seed in my mind. But, depending on how carefully you, you take care of that seed, it can come back fast, it can come back slow. And, by the way, you can use this.

If you really, really understand it, you can make stuff happen. You see? You just say, for example, my teacher told me, make a business.

You know? I was in the monastery almost ten years. Then he said, okay, now I want you to make a business.

I said, I'm a monk, I don't want to make a business, I want to meditate, I want to, you know, I don't want to do business. I think business people are stupid, they are greedy, they are always talking too fast.

[Говорящий 2]
You know?

[Говорящий 1]
I don't want to be like that. But he said, no, I'm telling you, you have to go. If your teacher tells you you have to go, you have to go.

Supposed to be, you're supposed to agree, right? You cannot say no to your, what do you call, lao shi, right? You can't say no.

But you can delay. And so I delayed a long time, you know, one year I delayed. Then one day he gave a very beautiful talk.

Then I said, oh, lama, I will do anything. Just tell me what you want. He said, I told you one year ago, I want you to start a business, right?

Then I said, how to start a business? I didn't know anything. I really don't know anything.

He said, you meditate. So I meditate, you know. And then came, answer, I should do diamond business?

Then, I don't know why. I don't know anything about diamond. I don't like diamonds, I don't like jewelry, nothing.

So came the answer, should be a diamond business. And then I asked lao shi, I said, how to do business? He said, use seeds.

Just plant the seeds, you know. So I thought about it a lot. And then I said, I should help somebody who is poor, who wants to start some business.

Then that will plant a seed in my mind. It's like giving, if I want 10 pens, in this system, you don't go to the store. You don't go buy them.

You give one to him. And it puts a seed in your mind. The seed always grows.

With time, seed always grows bigger. So if you want 10 pens, you don't have to go to the store 10 times. You just give one to Teddy.

If you understand this system, so how to make money? He said, make money for poor people. How to make?

Should give some money. You see? If you want pen, you have to give a pen.

If you want money, you have to give money. So I made a system. That's why I'm doing this book-saving project.

They are my partner, my karma partner. I give the help to them. They are poor people.

There are 120 women in the village in India. So I taught them how to use computer. I bought the computer for them.

I give them a salary. Then I start my business. First I put the seed.

Then I start the business. And then now the business is, that's the fastest growing business in the history of New York. It doubled every year for 15 years.

It's 250 million a year. It's a quarter billion dollars a year now. It doubled every year.

So if you understand the seeds, you can make stuff happen. What's the seed for doing good asana? What's the seed for strong, healthy?

I'll give you a clue, okay? If you want a pen, you have to give a pen. If you want money, you have to give money.

If you want to be healthy, what? Give life, protect life, help other people, help sick people. Many people come to me.

I was in Singapore, yeah? And I said, okay, they said, we want you to give a talk, Geshe-la. I said, what subject?

I said, I can teach you how to make money. I can teach you how to make strong. I can teach you some yoga talk.

They said, no, no. We want to know how to find a boyfriend. All they're asking me, this big group of people, I want a boyfriend.

I want a girlfriend. I said, why do you want a boyfriend? They said, I'm lonely.

I want someone to be with me. I'm lonely. I want someone to talk to.

I want someone to, we go to the film together. So I said, so you want to stop your loneliness. You want to find someone who is a companion, right?

They said, yeah. So I said, if you want a pen, what do you do? Give a pen.

If you want money, you give money. You know the guy, Ehud and Yoram, she worked with my partners. And we built a company together.

So if you want companion, what do you have to do? If you want a boyfriend, what do you have to do? So I told people, you have to find lonely people.

You have to find like old people. Go find a lonely person. Nobody wants to talk to old people.

They smell bad. They talk always about their husband who died 25 years ago. They just want to tell you about how famous they were in 1953.

And nobody wants to stay with them. Nobody wants to talk to them. They are boring.

And they don't talk right and they don't remember anything. So they are lonely. Nobody wants to be with them.

So if you want, the seed for a pen is a pen. The seed for money is money. The seed for health, go help sick people then come to the yoga studio.

And then you can do all these asanas. Because the seed is coming from your mind. The seed doesn't come from practicing.

You see? Doing headstand over and over is not why you can do a headstand. It's because you helped sick people before.

Then come to the yoga studio, you can do a headstand. If you don't help sick people and you come to the yoga studio and you try to do a headstand, then you will hurt your neck. Why some people get a good experience, open their Sahasrara chakra, and then some people just hurt their neck and never come back?

Why? Why does one person see a pen and one sees a chew toy? Why does one person see a headstand which makes them healthy and the other person hurts their neck?

You have to... The answer is coming from you. It's coming from you.

Okay? Two people do the same pose. One person gets hurt.

One person feels younger. Why? We say it's because you have a seed in your mind.

Who put the seed there? He said you did. How did you put the seed there?

You help people who are sick. You know? In the case of a boyfriend karma, boyfriend seed, how do you make?

Help the lonely person. Find the lonely person. So I was in Detroit, right?

We went... They called us in Detroit, the automobile companies. They said, look, we have a layoff.

Half the people are unemployed, 50% in the middle of Detroit. Half the people have no job. One million people left the city.

Half the houses are empty. You can go to Detroit. You want a house?

You just go and you sit down in the house and you can live there, free. You don't have to pay. You don't have to do anything.

Half the houses are empty. Nobody has any money. Nobody has any job.

You know? They said, please come to Detroit and help us. If you really know how to make money, teach us.

Come to Detroit. So I went. We went to Detroit.

And I don't know, like 300, 400 people came. And then we explained to them, if you want pens, you have to give a pen. If you want your factory open again, you have to help people in a poor country.

It sounds crazy, right? You are unemployed. You don't have, your factory was closed.

What should you do? I said, you should find a poor country and you should help them make a small factory. Something small factory.

Give one pen. Ten pens will come back. You see?

Open one small factory, then your big factory will open up. Then somebody said, how do I find a girlfriend? I said, okay, you find an old person, lonely person.

Help them. Then they said, should I go on the internet or should I go to the club? It was funny.

They said, should I go on the internet or should I go to the club? I said, it's a bad question. We call, in our system, we say bad question.

Bad question means it doesn't have a good answer. Right? Some people go on the internet, they're fine.

Some people go to the club, they're fine. Some people go on the internet, don't fine. Some people go to the club, only find stupid boys.

You know? Why? It's not coming from the club.

It's not coming from the internet. It's coming from you. You see?

First you go help a lonely person. First you find an old person. You help them for one month.

Help means go once a week for one hour. You know, you don't have to pay their bills and you don't have to do that. Go for one hour once a week.

Listen to their story about their husband who died 25 years ago and the famous thing they did in 1953. And listen to it three or four or five times. Okay?

Or maybe a hundred times. Okay? Listen to them.

Then go on the internet. Or then go to the club. Or then sit in your house and don't go anywhere and they will come.

The boy will come. My partner that I had, long time partner, they knock on my door. You know?

I didn't have to go anywhere. You know? You just wait.

You make the... If you put the seed, I must get pens in the future. Nobody can stop it.

It's unstoppable. Why am I talking about this? Why am I talking about this?

We were asking a question. Who made the body? The kosha of the body, who made it?

Your prana made it. Who made your prana? Your mind.

How did your mind make your prana? It planted the seeds. Your mind planted the seeds.

Right? If I just give him a pen and I say, I don't care about you. Here.

It doesn't plant a good seed. There has to be intention. Right?

There has to be...

[Говорящий 2]
Yeah.

[Говорящий 1]
Exactly. It's the best question. It's the number one question.

You have to ask this question. It's the best question. Let me finish the koshas, then I'll go there.

But it's the number one question. It's a beautiful question. Where was I?

So the... Anamaya kosha. The body forms around the prana.

The prana forms around the thoughts. The reason you are having this thought now is that you planted a seed. You gave the...

He needs a pen and I want to help him. So, intention. The seed forms around the intention.

What makes it all happen? What makes it... What's the middle of the onion?

What's in the middle of the onion? Huh? It's just empty.

If you open an onion, you know, piece by piece, and then in the middle, what is there? There's nothing. Okay?

We call shunya. Okay? In India, shunya.

If I put the pen on the... Here. If I leave the pen here, right?

And... I leave the room. And the dog leaves the room.

What's there? What's left? What is it?

You just go like that, right? You say, nothing. It's nothing.

It's not a pen. If nobody's here. And it's not a chitoy.

We can't decide what it is until the dog comes. Or until the person comes. Then we can say, okay, now it's a pen.

Or we can say, okay, now it's something to chew. But if they both go away, by itself, it's just available. It's just like a white movie screen.

Nobody's... Nobody's putting pen. Nobody's putting, what?

Chitoy. By itself, it's like a white screen. This is called anandamaya kosha.

Anandamaya kosha. That's the inside of the onion. It's empty.

It's nothing. By itself, it's nothing. Can you say there's nothing here?

No. Not really. I mean, there's something here.

If you don't believe, come here. I will give you your extra. There's something here.

So, you have to be careful. Some people say, oh, shunya, shunya, empty, empty. Nothing is there.

It's not true. Taxicab is at the core. In the middle of the taxicab, there's nothing.

Shunya. But it will still break your leg. If you stand in front of it, it will break your leg.

So, the things are inside the core. They are nothing. But you are making them something.

Be careful. Say again? Intention?

Oh, yeah. Potential is good. Potential.

Available. Like that. They are available to be anything.

Why are we talking about this? Why are we talking about anandamaya kosha? Which is just a black thing.

It's not a pen. It's empty. It's available.

In the middle, it's empty. What grows on that is your seeds. This is anandamaya kosha.

What grows on that is your thoughts. Manomaya kosha. What grows on that is your prana.

Pranamaya kosha. On the prana grows the body. Anandamaya kosha.

Got it? Those are the five koshas. Those are the five koshas.

Why are we talking about that? We said, and you weren't here yesterday, but we were talking about ladies in Hong Kong or ladies in Taipei. Before there was a deal, the husband should make the money.

He should get up. The wife can't feed him like a machine. Put the petrol in the car.

Here's your breakfast. Then the husband is supposed to go and work. The machine is supposed to produce money.

He comes home and he brings a paycheck home. This used to be the deal. During that time, the wife will go buy the vegetables and take care of the kids.

This used to be a deal. Now it changed. In Taipei, we were there.

The woman has to get up at six o'clock. She has to feed the machine, which is not working very hard now. She has to take the kids to school.

She has to run to work. She has to come home. Still, the custom of the wife cooking is still there.

It's not like the husband is going to cook. Still, there's this culture. She gets up.

She feeds the husband. She feeds the kids. She takes the kids to school.

She runs to her job. She works late. She comes home.

On the way home, she has to buy the groceries. Then she cooks. Then she has to clean up.

It's ten o'clock. It's eleven o'clock. Then she gets to sleep a little bit.

That's her life. That's her life. Also in America, you are seeing people who...

The women are getting all the diseases of working people, like heart attack, or they are getting cancer, or they are getting exhaustion, or they are burning out. So we were talking about... Niguma's yoga was designed for women.

She was a woman, and she designed the yoga for women, especially for stress. It's especially designed for stress. So we were saying...

When I was talking to Colin, we were talking with Pavina, and we were like, what if we taught this yoga to working women, and maybe for free, or maybe we made a special... some special thing. They can come early.

We will have air conditioner on for them, and we will make special yoga for women. And then it should open the chakras and make them calmer. And if the sushumna has the prana, if they learn about these things, and if you teach them in the right way, in half hour or in 45 minutes of yoga, they can change their life.

We say, if you open the sushumna, you can think more clearly. You are better at what you do. If you are doing business, you can make more money.

If you are looking for boyfriend, you can find a better one. If you are trying to do asana, you can learn faster, if the sushumna is open. Now I want to talk about Dylan's question, really good question.

It seems like in the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna tells Arjuna, when you do a good deed, don't expect result. Do a good deed without expectation of result. So don't do a good deed because you are going to get something out of it for yourself.

Then it's not a good deed. Then it's more like a business. I will give you a pen, not because you are a good person or not because I want to help you, because I want to get 10 pens back.

I am just using you. There is no compassion. I am just using you.

To understand the answer to that, it needs a clear sushumna. The answer is difficult. The answer is subtle.

Why do I get more thing when I give to him? Why? What makes that system work?

Myself. That's one answer. That's an easy answer.

That's the basic answer. When I am sitting with people who are not yogis, when I am sitting with a bunch of new people in Vienna two weeks ago, then I can give them... This is an easy answer and it's true.

It's a good answer. It's true. The sadhu, sadhu.

They say sadhu. Sadhu means true, true. My intention, starting the business, right?

I gave money to the poor people, so I will make a million dollars. And then I give that money. So my intention is to help him so I can get more money.

Then I can give more money to more people. So that's the one answer. That's an easy answer.

You know? When I am with... What do you call?

New people and they are not so sharp, then I... This is an easy answer. Then they feel happy.

They say, Oh, Geshe Michael is not selfish. You know? He's not giving pens just to get more pens.

He's giving one pen because he wants to get ten pens because he wants to give everybody a pen. Then they feel happy. They feel, Okay, Geshe Michael is not self-interested.

He's doing for other people. But there's a deeper answer. There's a...

There's a deeper answer.

[Говорящий 2]
Is it cause and effect?

[Говорящий 1]
Where does it come from? Yeah, who put the seed? But who made cause and effect?

Well, it's... Who made cause and effect?

[Говорящий 2]
It's like... For every effect there's a cause. There can't be an effect without a cause.

[Говорящий 1]
But who made that? Who made that system? Why does it work that way?

[Говорящий 2]
I think it's just the law of nature.

[Говорящий 1]
Yeah, you say it's just the law of nature. It's just there. It's like gravity.

If the building is bigger than the pen, the building won't fall up. The building... The pen will fall down because the building is bigger than the pen.

The system of planting seed, right? It depends on a wrong idea. It depends on a wrong idea.

He is different from me. Okay? Is it difficult to do this?

I love this pen. I really love this pen, right? I like this pen.

They can't find them anywhere, okay? Do I have... Difficult to give to Michael?

Is Michael difficult to give to Michael? You say, no, that's not difficult. You give...

The right hand gives to the left hand is not a big achievement. You know? That's not like a big deal, you know?

If I give to him and I let... When I let go, that's a big thing, right? Why?

Because I see him as different than me. I see him as... I see him as...

His hand is not my hand. Okay? Like that.

His hand is not my... Now I have a beautiful, beautiful thing for you. And you have to really work hard.

This is like trying to do nirālam-bhāna-śiśasana. This is the moral equivalent. This is the spiritual equivalent.

This is more difficult than nirālam-bhāna-śiśasana. Okay? Really, really.

You have to struggle now. You know? I went to his class.

I don't know if you remember, a couple of years ago. You tortured me. I didn't meet him before that.

I went to his class. He's trying to make me do nirālam-bhāna-śiśasana. He's holding my feet.

He said, okay, let go of your arms, you know? Like, bring your arms up. Then at that time I'm sweating, I'm shaking.

I'm like, he's going to break my neck, you know? Now I'm going to break your neck. No, but it's different.

That's a physical breaking. This is a mental. This is a spiritual breaking.

Okay, get this. Nothing that ever came to you didn't come from a seed. Everything you ever got in this life, every dollar, every penny you ever got, it had to come from helping somebody else.

There's no other place. It cannot come without a cause. Every asana you did in your life, every successful, you know, if you did, I don't know, Paschimoda, you can do this, right?

Which I cannot do. But if you did that, it's because you helped somebody else before. That's the only reason.

Because it's coming out of your mind. It's not coming from the hands, and it's not coming from the feet. It's coming from your own mind.

Everything. There's no exception. Everything that ever happened to you, this building came because we protected other people.

We gave them shelter. That's who created this building. And if that seed ends, this building will fall.

I gave this talk at the World Trade Center in 1999, 1998, okay? I gave this talk. I said, if that seed finishes, this building will fall.

Okay? It was weird, okay? So, I can only get a pen if I give pens.

I have to give a pen to get a pen. All pens, every pen I ever used came from... That's why ink runs out of a pen.

Really. The seed runs out. The ink's not running out, the seed is running out, okay?

I've got you up there now. I'm letting go both of your arms, okay? Don't break my neck.

Okay. The pen runs out of ink because the seed for the pen runs out. I only gave one pen.

And that seed is finishing. Who's finishing the seed? The pen.

Okay? The pen is finishing the seed. Everything is coming from seeds I did for somebody else.

So get this. This is the important part. Okay, I got you up now.

I'm holding your legs. Okay? The only place I can get money is if I give money to him.

Okay? So really I am giving to myself. Right?

Really, if you think about it, when I'm giving money to him, I'm giving money to myself. To do this is not different than to do this. You see?

It's the same thing. Except this one I don't get increase. This one I get interest.

Okay? This plant's a seed. I will get ten...

I don't know if this is a dollar or something. I will get ten of them back. Okay?

If I do this, I have to give him for me to get. Now the definition of Michael. The definition of Michael.

Where does Michael end? We say at the skin. Michael is here, but Michael is not here.

Okay? Michael ends... Where Michael's skin ends, Michael ends.

If I take a needle and I stick it here, I go, ouch. Okay? Then they say, was that Michael?

I say, yes. Yeah, that was Michael. Why?

Because it hurt. When you did something, it hurt. Okay?

Then you go like this. Is that Michael? No.

Why? Didn't hurt me. Okay?

Then you go, is that Michael? You do massage, right? Is that Michael?

You say, yes. Why? I can feel it.

It affects me. Then you massage the table. You know?

Is that you, Michael? I say, what? Is that you?

You say, no, no. Why not? It doesn't help me.

Okay? It doesn't make me feel good. Now, question.

Big question. This is the end of your question. Okay?

I give the money to him. Do I feel good? Does something good happen to me?

Then he is me. Then Teddy is me. We have different names.

That's a mistake. You know? There's a custom in this country.

You have a name tag. Yours says Dylan. Yours says Marina.

His says, you're supposed to say Teddy. This is wrong. It's false.

It's wrong. We are not two people. He's Michael.

Why? Michael is the person that if you massage him, he feels good. Michael is the person that if you give money, Michael gets money.

Got it? So he is me. Now you're up in, I let go of your feet.

Now you are really a yogi. That's real yoga. You are really a yogi now.

That's a real yoga. He's not, he is me. He is Michael.

Okay? He's not like Michael. I shouldn't be nice to him because I should treat him like Michael.

That's also wrong. You know, Jesus is very powerful. Treat others as you would treat yourself.

But the Greek doesn't say that. It says treat others that they are yourself. You see what I mean?

He is me. Okay? That's why the seed, that's where cause and effect came from.

That's where cause and effect came from. He is me. And we have a misunderstanding.

Everyone has a misunderstanding. And we give separate names. What are they?

Me and you. Teddy and Michael. We have different names.

It's a mistake. It's a mistake. If I do good to him, I'm doing good to me.

Therefore he is me. Got it?

[Говорящий 2]
Isn't the misunderstanding of that the point?

[Говорящий 1]
It's the source of all pain.

[Говорящий 2]
Yeah.

[Говорящий 1]
It's the source of all trouble. It's the source of all pain. Then you go to some yoga class and the teacher gives some, everybody's one.

And you say, okay, give me your bank account. You know? And, you know, it doesn't, I'm not that one, okay?

But slowly, slowly, as you understand this more, then you will start to understand he is you. So for me to give him money is to give money to myself. And the end of your question, if I help him to help myself, I am helping us, right?

If you go to India and you meet the women that I gave money to, right, and you say, are you happy? Is it a good thing he gave you money? You say, yes.

I was in New York. I went, I had a yoga class. And then I came home late.

I was at John Brady's house. And it was like midnight. Then I was supposed to go get my oranges, you know?

I like to make fresh oranges every morning. So I didn't have oranges. So I went to look for an open store.

There wasn't any stores open. It was like 12 or 1 o'clock. And then I found one store.

And there were two women. They look from Asia, Chinese or something. So I, you know, they are giving me the fruit, and I am buying the fruit.

And then they start to talk to each other in Tibetan language. Then I'm like, because I can understand what they are saying, right? Because all our school is done in Tibetan language.

So, you know, I'm listening. Then I said, oh, where are you from? And they said, we are Tibetan.

Then I said, well, how did you get to America? You don't have passport. How did you come?

And they said, oh, it's a long story. We are computer experts. So I said, well, how did you learn computer?

And they said, well, actually we didn't come from Tibet. We came from India. And in our village we have a computer project.

There's a project to save old books. I said, oh, that's interesting. Then I said, you know, how does it work?

And they said, oh, this American guy. He came to India 23 years ago. He set up the computers.

He brought the old books from Russia. And we are typing them, and they go up on the web for free. And we are saving the world's books.

We are doing all the Chinese books, Sanskrit books, Tibetan books. We are doing 200,000 books. The project is scheduled for 100 more years.

I said, that's great. Did you meet this guy? He said, no, no, we never saw the guy.

Oh, that's interesting. And I didn't say anything. I went home.

Next day we had a fundraiser at Michael Gordon's. So I sent John. I said, please tell her to come and give a, what do you call, testimonial.

She should explain about the project. And she was so surprised when she came there. I'm like, I don't know, 300 people.

And I asked her, please stand up and explain what you said last night. Because then people gave donations. You see what I mean?

It was really cute. But if you ask her, is it OK that Geshe Michael made money from you? Is it OK that he made his money by using you?

She will say, God bless. I'm very happy. It support our village.

It support our family for 20 years. I'm glad that he's using me to give the pen. You see what I mean?

And then I also get more pen back. There's only a problem if you see us as separate. It's not that I got 10 pens.

It's not that he got one pen. It's that we all, we, me, we, me? We need a new word, right?

We, me got a pen. Got it? The question, which everyone in the world asks, every place I ever go, they ask the same question.

The question is dependent on seeing him as separate. We are making an internal transaction. You see?

Me is giving me money. And me is giving it back. And in between, it increased.

And it's a good thing for both. We are both, if you ask the lady in the store, are you happy? She'll say yes.

And you say, Geshe Michael, are you happy? I say yes. So it's a good deal.

It's a mutual, what do you call it?

[Говорящий 2]
It's a win-win.

[Говорящий 1]
It's a win-win. And you can make the argument that win-win is better than just one side win. You see what I mean?

You can say this is a higher goodness, that both people benefit. You see what I mean? Maybe that's a higher kind of selflessness.

Maybe that's real selflessness, because I don't see self as separate. We are one self. My teacher used to say, vipaka.

What's vipaka? You have to cook it. You have to cook it.

You have to sit on that idea for a while. It won't come the first day. It sounds a little crazy the first day.

So do you agree to a place where you're renouncing the fruits of the action? Good question. It's a good question.

What did Lord Krishna mean when he told Arjuna, renounce the fruits of the action? What does it mean? First answer, you can't avoid the result.

I tell a joke. The first time I went to Dharma's class, maybe the second or third time, I went to Dharma's class. And this guy came up to me.

His name's John. I didn't know him. And he shook my hand.

He said, I'm happy to meet you. Your work is very good. I said, thank you.

See you later. I'm going to eat pancakes. No, bono bono.

I'm going to bono bono. Right? I'm going for coconut juice.

And so I left. Then he wrote me an email after a couple days. He said, why didn't you thank me?

And I wrote him back an email. I said, I'm sorry. I don't know what you mean.

And he said, look in your backpack. So I always carry this backpack. Because it's my office.

I have all my old busticas are in here. And my computer's in here. And I do all my work in Starbucks or everywhere.

I don't have an office. So in the car, I work. So he said, I put something in your bag.

You look in your bag. I look in the bag. I'm looking in the bag.

I found an envelope. And inside there's a check. $100,000.

US $100,000. Then I wrote him. I said, thank you.

I said, why are you giving me? What's it for? He said, anything you want.

I just like what you're doing. So what I mean is, if you are helpful to other people, if you are kind to other people, you can't avoid the result. It will come to you.

So renounce doesn't mean to. When you say renounce, it must mean Krishna meant result will come. But don't be attached to the result.

Don't say, this is my result. Then share the result. If you plant a seed, you cannot avoid the ripening, vipaka.

It will ripen. Whether you want it or not, somebody will put the money in your bag. And you don't know.

You don't have a choice. It will come back to you. You don't have a choice.

It means, how do you feel about that? Do you renounce means, are you attached to this result? So the result you can't avoid.

[Говорящий 2]
He was asking for a thank you.

[Говорящий 1]
Say again?

[Говорящий 2]
He was asking for a thank you and recognition.

[Говорящий 1]
Yeah, well, that's his problem. But I have another answer, too. This is more difficult.

You ready? I'll put you one hand in your own money. This is more difficult.

You see people who are kind to other people. They help other people. They give money to other people.

And they get more broke. You say, I have friends like that. They say, Geshe-la, I have a problem.

I say, what? They say, my credit cards are all over. What do you call them?

They're maxed out. My credit cards are maxed out. And I say, why?

And they say, I was giving away money. You told me to give away money. I'm giving away money.

And now I'm broke, completely. You got this $250 million. I didn't get anything.

I just got broke. We see people like that. What it means is, if you are kind to someone else, do it out of love for them.

And don't do it out of expecting something back. Why? It takes time.

It will come back. Sometimes you help somebody, and they say, I hate you. Sometimes you serve somebody, and they say, why are you doing that?

I don't like you. Sometimes you really try to help somebody, and they get angry at you. Sometimes you try to hurt somebody, and they thank you.

Right? It means, in the short term, the results are unpredictable. Because they are coming from older karma.

They are coming from, people told me, should I lie about to get my immigration card? Geshe-la, I understand I should be a good person. I understand I should keep Yama and the Yama.

I understand I shouldn't keep Asteya. I should not lie. I understand.

But, always they give me but. But, I really need immigration card. And just a little lie.

Then I can stay here 50 years, I can help you with your work. I say, you are going to lie to help me with my work? You are going to make a bad scene and get a good result.

You see what I mean? So, sometimes they go and they lie. And they get an immigration card.

Then they say, Geshe-la, your system is wrong. I told a lie. And I got a good result.

Then I said, no, you don't understand. The officer believed your lie. Because you told the truth in the past.

Okay? The officer believed you. Because you told the truth in the past.

You got an immigration card. Because you helped someone in the past to find a home. That's why you got an immigration card.

The lie has no connection. There's no cause and result, right? Cause and effect.

There's no cause and effect between the lie and the immigration card. It's not cause and effect. You got the immigration card because you found a home for somebody in the past.

The officer believed you because you told the truth in the past. The new lie is going to create a... Then you'll be one of those people who says, everyone around me lies to me.

All my friends lie to me. People lie to me. My boss lies to me.

My friends lie to me. Why? Because you lied about the immigration.

Okay? Three years ago. Okay?

So, the way they explain the famous quotation by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, that don't be attached to the fruits of your action, it means don't misunderstand. Don't misunderstand where things are coming from. Don't think that if you lie and you get an immigration card, there's cause and effect.

There's not. It's not cause and effect. Jesus said you don't get thorns from thistles.

You don't get shikwa from oranges. You know, you don't plant an orange seed and get a watermelon. Not possible.

You don't lie and get an immigration card. It's not possible.

[Говорящий 2]
Okay?

[Говорящий 1]
So, the way they read the Krishna's thing, don't expect a result right away from that action. It's not going to come. Maybe you give money and you're broke.

Maybe you help somebody and they yell at you. Maybe you try to hurt somebody and they're happy. Okay?

Don't be attached to the immediate result because that's not the real result. Okay? That's the deeper meaning of that.

Anything you do will create a good result. Any good thing you do will create a good result. You can't avoid it.

You can't avoid it. The result will come to you. So, it doesn't mean...

Not to be attached means you can say the way he said it. You know, the money will come to you, then give it away again. Use the money.

But you can't... Somebody will come in your house and put money in your bag. The boy will knock on your door.

You can't avoid them. They will come. But don't be attached.

You see? Don't be attached to... Don't be attached to wrong causes.

That's more difficult, right? It's more difficult to understand. Don't be attached to wrong causes.

Don't think that if you lie you're going to get something good. It's not possible. And if you don't get a result right away, don't stop giving.

See, if your credit card is maxed out, get another credit card. No, and start giving more money. No, when I started the charity work, I was $100,000 in debt sometimes.

You know? Sometimes I was $100,000, $200,000 in debt by helping these women, right? Then I borrowed more and I helped more.

And then one day this lady asked me out for pizza. She said, will you come with me to pizza? And then I went with her.

I now know her. And then we had pizza together. And then she said, I heard you have this charity.

I said, yeah. And she said, I heard you have a debt. I said, yeah, I'm hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.

And then she said, she took out a checkbook. And she said, tell me the amount. I said, you know, I said, there's so many hundred thousand dollars.

She wrote me a check. She said, here you go. Then she turns out to be Andrea Soros.

Her father is George Soros. Her father is George Soros. I never met this woman.

She took me for pizza. But what I mean is the result will come. Don't be attached to wrong results.

Don't be attached to, don't have expectation for impossible. Don't think you can lie and something good will happen. That's what, in our tradition, that's how they explain what Krishna said.

You can expect a result. That's okay. You want a result.

That's okay. I'm giving you money because I want to give money because I want to give more money. That you can expect.

You can count on that. And it's not wrong. It's not a wrong thing because you're going to use it to help more people.

That's okay. That's not attachment.

[Говорящий 2]
Do all wrong results come from?

[Говорящий 1]
Must. Must. Must.

Everything bad that ever happened to you came from the same thing. Everything good that you want comes from the same thing. You don't get thorns from, you don't get grapes from thorns and, Pigs from thistles.

Pigs from thistles. You don't plant a cactus and get a shikwa. You see?

But Jesus said that. It's true. You know?

Anything good you do, you must get a good one. You can't avoid it. And anything bad you do will also come back.

Then next time I teach you, there's a way to stop the old seeds. Karma, shukla, krsna, myoginis, trividhi, mithira, asam. Fourth chapter, Yoga Sutra.

You can stop the old bad seeds. So, you know, you heard this lecture by Geshe Michael. He made an unfortunate question.

Okay, I understand I can get anything good I want, but what about the bad? I know I planted a lot of bad seeds before. Can I cancel them?

Is it possible to cancel them? Really, that should be your question. You should ask this question.

When I was in college, I was with a girl who had an abortion. So in the yoga system, this is a murder. This is a murder.

So, you know, I have this seed. I will have some terrible accident. I will get cancer.

I will be burned over my body. Something will happen. I know.

So I have to take care of that seed. Before it comes to me, before it opens, I have to take care of that seed. The way to take care of the old bad seeds is you stop the same thing.

You stop doing that thing. You make a commitment. You make a promise.

Like, I stole money from my mother. When I was 12 years old, I stole $5 from my mother. I remember.

I was very embarrassed. I remember. So I want to stop this seed.

There's a way to stop the seed. You make a promise. I will never do it again.

I will not steal anything. I will pay my taxes 100%. I will put the money in the parking meter.

Everything I'm supposed to do, I will do. And then that destroys the old seed. So karma, shukla, akrishnam, yoginis means yogis.

Yoginis means four yogis. They overcome the seeds, good and the bad seeds from before. They overcome them.

Akrishnam means no more black karma. Because they do the opposite. And they dedicate the energy to that old seed.

So you can remove the old seed that way. If you made some mistake when you were younger, like stealing $5 from your mother, then you can be very careful not to take people's money, very careful not to steal. Asteya, right?

What is it? Ahimsa? Asteya?

[Говорящий 2]
Rahmacharya?

[Говорящий 1]
I forget. Anyway. These are the yama and niyama, right?

So you stop doing that thing, you send the power to the old seed, and it will destroy the old seed. You can destroy the old seeds. Otherwise we are hopeless.

Otherwise there is no hope for us. Okay? Got it?

Yeah?

[Говорящий 2]
What if you did a bad deed?

[Говорящий 1]
Good, yeah. What gives a bad deed power and a good deed power is intention. 95% of the energy is intention.

So if you get in a car accident and you kill somebody, there is no intention. You are not intending to kill somebody. Then you only get like 5% of the seed.

Intention is 95%.

[Говорящий 2]
So you didn't realize how wrong it was at the time.

[Говорящий 1]
Yeah, exactly. Then it's much less. Much less.

There are four elements that have to be there. Sampa is kunlong, dushe, and nyomo. There are three kinds of recognition of identifying what you are doing.

So in this case, let's say that you eat meat. Because you believe the animal doesn't feel anything. You believe that.

Then it's less seed than the other person who understands how much animals feel. If you understand how much it hurts them, and then you still eat meat, that's much more powerful. But if you believe, you know, some people say animals don't feel anything.

If you really believe that, the seed is less. The bad seed is less. So they both make a bad seed.

The person who believes they can't feel is making less bad seed. The person who talked to the rabbit and got to know the rabbit and the rabbit had the baby for them, you know, they understand how the animal feels. If they kill an animal, then it's much more serious.

So we call it recognition. It's very important. Okay, last thing.

Then we'll do some asana, okay? Which you're supposed to do asana. I'm tricking you.

Ahimsa pratishthayam tatsa nidam arityaga. We didn't talk, we didn't finish that line. Okay, it's Yoga Sutra, second chapter.

Ahimsa means stop, don't hurt other people. Pratishthayam means, stha means to stay. Like station comes from that.

Stationary comes from that. Pratishthayam means live that way. Stay that way for a long time.

Live your life that way. Ahimsa pratishthayam. If you live your life as ahimsa, right?

Tatsa nidam means in your presence. In your presence. Vaira means conflict, fighting.

Tyaga means it will be stopped. You won't see. It means to be, what do you call it?

Eliminated. Tyaga means let go. So what the Yoga Sutra says, if you are not violent, if you don't hurt other people, then you won't see any violence around you.

You won't see violence around you. I went into a three-year retreat, 2000, right? Then it was in the desert in America.

Nothing for many miles. Just a little yurt, little house, one room. And then in 2001, in what, September, right?

Then all these airplanes and helicopters. And they are practicing, you know, and I'm like, whoa, what's going on? And everyone, you can feel something happening.

There are airplanes and there are military practicing things and over the desert. They need the desert. And then there are many, many airplanes and they are practicing all these helicopters.

There are big, like ten helicopters came over my house, you know. And I'm like, what are they doing? What's going on?

And then I didn't hear anything. They are not allowed to tell me anything. So 2003, in March, I got out.

First thing, someone came to my little room. They said, I have to tell you something. Your friends in New York, this happened.

The World Trade Center. Then the newspaper came. They said, you are the only person in the world who didn't hear about it.

How does it feel, you know? How do you feel, you see? And then, so for me, it's different.

I didn't see the movie. I didn't see the film. I didn't see the TV.

I didn't hear the news. I didn't read the newspaper. I heard about it two or three years later, you know.

And it was different for me, you know. I didn't see that violence in my life, you see. So that means, if you don't hurt other people, you won't see violence.

So what's it mean if you do see violence? That you still have ahimsa. You did commit ahimsa in your life.

So you can, that's the meaning of that. What you see around you is a reflection of yourself. What you see around people.

So we have a joke at our university. You see, if you see stupid people around you, what is the meaning? Right?

If you meet a stupid person, what is the meaning? Ahimsa pratishthan tatsa nidha. It means, somewhere deep inside you, you are stupid.

You are doing the same thing. So in my, in our university, we have what we call a joke. We call half sentence syndrome.

Half sentence. People never finish a sentence. When they want to complain about somebody, they are like, I can't believe...

[Говорящий 2]
They are so...

[Говорящий 1]
Because if they say, John is stupid, right? Then everybody says, right. I understand.

You know? Because you are stupid. So in our place, everybody is doing half sentences.

You know, they complain about somebody. I can't believe I saw somebody... Then everybody is like, did you see somebody stupid?

Or maybe they are complaining all the time. Or what did you see? So, everything you see is coming from you.

You see? So, yeah.

[Говорящий 2]
How do you know when you see right now?

[Говорящий 1]
They are not contradictory. You see? They can be both.

Every action is a reflection of the past. And every action is causing a new reaction in the future. You see what I mean?

So, every changing thing... This is a principle. Like you said, cause and effect is a principle.

Every changing thing is both a cause and a result. At the same time. I am a result of my mother.

And I am the cause of, you know, trouble. At the same time. So, present moment awareness is a good thing.

It is going to stop the effect of the past karma. Yeah. Say again?

Present moment awareness. So, if I am walking across the street, and I am in the past or the future, right? The car is going to hit me.

If I see the car, I am not going to kill it. I will avoid the car. The ability...

It is true. What you said is true. If I am conscious, if I am aware, if I have presence of mind, if I am in the moment, I can avoid problems, right?

I cannot get hit by a car. That is true, right? The ability to concentrate has its own cause.

The ability to be in the present has its own cause. And it is interesting. That ability is ahimsa.

The ability to concentrate is the result of ahimsa. That is very interesting. People say, I cannot meditate.

Then I say, are you eating meat? Or are you stealing things? You know, are you lying to your mother?

You see, it is not... Concentration comes from ahimsa. Yamas and niyamas.

It is very beautiful. The ability to be in the moment is also a seed that is opening. It is very beautiful.

So if you want to concentrate more, if you want better concentration, you have to look at any ahimsa you are doing. It is very beautiful. That is a very beautiful thing.

The ability to meditate comes from ahimsa. It is very interesting. All right.

[Говорящий 2]
Can you change the vibrations on the seat through meditation? Can you change the seat instead of by action, by thought?

[Говорящий 1]
Yeah. Because intention is 95% of everything. So for example, if I was involved in an abortion, when I was young, I can serve children.

I can serve children at a children's hospital. And I can dedicate that seat to destroy the old seat and it will destroy the old seat. But the power to believe in that and the power to go to the hospital, the power to continue helping people, it has to come from meditation, right?

Because I... You know, I tell you in one class about this thing and it is not going to be enough. You have to...

Yeah, in... The intention to serve the children, if you practice it every day in meditation, is faster and more powerful than serving the children. But it should lead to serving the children, okay?

And it should be both. It has to be both. So yeah, the meditation can change the seat.

You can work... Lele jikten nato ke, deni semba deng de che, semba yuki le ino, de che lu deng ngaki le. This is a very famous...

Abhidharmakosha. It is a very famous book about this question. And it means mental karma is the most powerful.

If you decide to help children with the right reason, that is 95% of the karma. Then, of course, you still have to go and help children. But the thinking is raw karma.

Speaking and acting is secondary karma. So, your thoughts, the thinking in a chair is more powerful than saying anything or doing anything. If you smile at somebody, somebody says, you are stupid Geshe Michael, and you say, you know, thank you, I appreciate you let me come here and talk.

But in your mind you're saying, you know, I hate you, you know. Then the karma is 95% in the mind, okay? Semba yuki le ino, to think is raw karma.

It's a very famous question. It's a good question. It's a very famous question.

Did you have a question? A little related, but a little more related to the ten things.

[Говорящий 2]
Okay.

[Говорящий 1]
If you're giving, if you think it's wrong, like you can't get ten things back, so you give it back to the ego. But, that's continued, the actions continue, eventually, and it inflames the ego initially. Good.

If it's continued, it should explode. Absolutely. Yeah, it's a good point.

It's a good point. Trick someone into being nice by telling them they'll get rich. They won't make a habit of being nice.

And sooner or later, they won't care if they're rich. You see what I mean? This is, we call upaya.

It's a skillful means. We call tricky means. It's very common with teachers.

Okay? Trick them into being good. It becomes a habit.

Then later, they don't care about the money. You see? It's a good point.

It's a very common teacher's method. You can go around the world giving business talks. Yeah.

Okay? And then, sooner or later, they all end up being meditators and yogis. Okay?

I made many like that. It's very nice.

[Говорящий 2]
Okay. Alright.

[Говорящий 1]
They know. They know. Many, many big businessmen have been corrupted and became yogis and meditators.

So anyway, let's do some asana. Alright? Yeah.

[Говорящий 2]
One last quick question.

[Говорящий 1]
Okay.

[Говорящий 2]
One quick question.

[Говорящий 1]
So, with the koshas, intention is the source of thought or guides thought. Yeah. You can say that.

Vijnanamaya question. Vijnanamaya. Yeah.

Which guides prana? Intention. Seeds guide thought and intention.

Thought and intention. Throw intention in with thought. Which guides prana, which guides body.

And they're all possible because nothing is by itself. Nothing is itself. And that directly affects the chakra.

Which one? The intention? Oh yeah, the thought.

[Говорящий 2]
Yeah. Yeah. Sushumna.

[Говорящий 1]
Yeah. If you if you you want to get the prana in the sushumna, then your mind will be more clear. And you will be more kind.

And you will understand ideas that you never understood before. You know? Like you never you never thought about this thing, right?

I mean, you never thought maybe he is me. Because I can't get when I give him something I'm feeding myself. You see?

So you can use that in a wrong way, right? You can use that in a selfish way. But you can twist it to think he is me.

I can't ignore him. If he's hungry, I have to feed me. Right?

If he has pain, I have to help me. Because we are one they say in the scripture we are one body. He's my left hand.

I am the right hand. Then I have to give if I get a cut on this hand if I cut this hand now, right? This hand will help.

This hand will hold the blood, you know? It will stop the blood, right? Then if I believe he is me then how will what will happen in the world?

If I believe he is me then what will happen in the world? We won't let people be hungry. It's not possible.

Because he's me. Okay? Yeah.

But you are every day shaking his head, right? And depending on your state of mind depending on whether you give him money if that's you every day he's shaking his head you should give to him no matter what. Yeah.

If you cut your hand and this hand is some day he's going to say I'm tired of helping you. You know? I don't care.

I helped you yesterday also. You know? I stopped the blood yesterday.

Now you cut yourself again.

[Говорящий 2]
You're just foolish, you know?

[Говорящий 1]
Then this hand won't say I'm tired of helping you. Or you know you were bleeding yesterday now you're bleeding again today. Why?

You know? They won't question. It just happens, you know?

So, same. Same thing.

[Говорящий 2]
But what if he's using the money to judge you?

[Говорящий 1]
Yeah, if he's using I mean, if someone's asking you for money on the street and you know they're going to use it for alcohol or drugs then you are hurting them if you give money. But how do you know that? You have to use your best judgment.

You see? And sometimes you're wrong. But you have to try.

So... But if that's not you then that's not yourself wanting to express yourself as the drug dealer or the drug taker. Yeah.

Should you deny that? Let's say I'm going to say so for the moment, okay? If this hand says to this hand give me a knife so I can cut myself then this hand has to say no.

You see? It will hurt you. If some people would ask so then you should not.

Yeah. If something will hurt them don't give them. So then to give everything has to be done with great care.

Great... You have to think carefully. Who should I help?

What's the best way to help them?

[Говорящий 2]
Okay?

[Говорящий 1]
If you just help everybody you write a check to Red Cross the result is not much. You have to go with your own hands help them get your hands dirty then the result is much stronger. Okay?

Alright. Why are we talking about all this?

[Говорящий 2]
Open the chapters.

[Говорящий 1]
Say We said you have to open the channels, right? You have to open the knot. You want to release this knot and then you want the prana to go through the sushumna, right?

That's what you want. And then we said Niguma said four steps. What are the four steps?

Nobody gets it right on there.

[Говорящий 2]
Twist it.

[Говорящий 1]
Untwist. Okay? Then stretch it out straight.

Then bring it bring it into the sushumna and then spread it out. Right? This is Chi.

Chi means on the outside. On the outside you can use a pose to open the pingala. On the outside you can use a pose to open the pingala.

You can get prana out of the pingala and into the sushumna by actually it's a stretch to the left. And then this stretches the pingala. This releases the pingala from the heart chakra.

So that's why we do yoga. Then prana will come into the sushumna. Okay?

That's Chi. Nang means Chi Nang Tabla Tso Nang means but you can work from the inside. What you said.

Is it Joakim or Joakim? How do they say it in Sushumna? How do they say your name?

Joakim? Joakim. Okay.

You can use inside method. You can use the inner method. What is that?

What is that? What is moving in this channel? I didn't get my stavas.

Okay? Upset is moving in this channel. Okay?

So to become more calm to move the prana into the sushumna I can do a twist to the left. Okay? Then this will stretch.

The prana will move. And it will come into the central channel. I can do a twist to the left.

I will become more calm. If I do it properly. After the class I will feel more calm.

Right? At the same time if I make my mind calmer it will pull the prana into the sushumna like the rider. You see?

I can work on the outside and the inside at the same time. Got it? I can use both methods.

There is a joke in my monastery. They said, should you use outside method or should you use inside method? Which one?

Yeah, both. I mean it's a joke, right? It's supposed to be a joke.

Then you are supposed to say bad question. You should use both. Right?

So while if you feel upset if the woman feels nervous anxiety from the 18 hours of work. Right? Yoga will help her.

Niguma's yoga it will stretch the pingala. The prana will go into the sushumna. She will feel better.

Okay? But also teach her wisdom. Teach her the inner method.

Okay? What is the inner method for pingala? Okay?

What is the inner method for pingala? It's the knowledge of the vijnana and maya kosha. Okay?

What's that mean? Are you going to work today? Yes.

Where do you work? I work at Pure Yoga. You know?

Do you have a supervisor? Yes, I have a supervisor and I have a supervisor's supervisor and I have a supervisor's supervisor's supervisor and I also have the owner. You know?

Are they always nice to you? Are they always nice to you? You say, no.

I mean, sometimes they are yelling at me. Sometimes they are... They say, you are late for class or you didn't teach a good asana or somebody got injured in your class or you know...

you don't... you are getting too much money. Like that.

They say something bad to you. It happens sometimes, right? And...

And then the prana starts to go into the pingala. Your prana starts to move into the pingala. I don't know why they said that to me.

You know, I told them ten times they shouldn't ask me to teach ashtanga. I want to teach anasara. Of course the person got hurt.

You know? I told them... I told them my student teaches ashtanga.

I told them I should teach anasara. And they didn't listen to me. Then you start to get more and more upset, you know?

I don't know why. Now they are going to lower my pay because I taught what they told me to teach. Now a person got injured.

I told them it was going to happen. You know? All this time the prana is moving into the...

into the pingala, right? Okay? She yelled at me today.

My boss yelled at me today.

[Говорящий 2]
Okay?

[Говорящий 1]
Then you know now. Now you know ahimsa pratishthan, right? You know the story now.

To get calmed down, you can do a twist to the lap. The pingala will stretch. The prana will come back out of here and come back to the sushumna.

It will come. Okay? But work on the inside also.

Work on the inside at the same time. Chindang tapasara means we are supposed to work on the inside and the outside. How do you work on the inside?

People say be calm. Why should I be calm? My boss is yelling at me.

You know? People say just relax. What do you mean just relax?

I have a stupid boss. They are always giving me trouble. What do you mean just relax?

I mean you can tell people that. It's not very effective. It's not very effective.

Okay? That's not the ultimate solution. Okay?

What is the ultimate solution? Hey, guess what? Your boss is coming from your sins.

You know? So what's that mean? You are seeing boss yell at you because you yelled at your mother last week.

Oh. So you know what's happening now. If you yell at your boss, if you yell back to your boss, they will come again next week.

Okay? You are creating the boss, you are creating the yelling boss for next week, this week. It's very good.

In June you are making yelling boss for July. In July you are making yelling boss for August.

[Говорящий 2]
You know?

[Говорящий 1]
So in June your boss yell at you. You yell back. Then in July they will yell at you.

You will yell back. Then in August you create another yelling boss for August. It's very good.

So you can have all year unpleasant boss because you are making them. You are creating them. Okay?

So if you remember that, if you remember that, while you are doing the twist to the line and you think, that boss came from me, that boss came from me, the prana will move into the sushumna. To understand the ideas I talked about today is moving prana into the sushumna. While we are sitting here, you think, oh, Geshe-la didn't do asana today.

I did better than asana. You just did about 30 Matsyam drasanas. You did the same thing as 30 Matsyam drasanas.

Just now. Just sitting here. You took a lot of prana out of the pingala and you put it in the sushumna.

When you understand what I am saying. Why? Next time, today, okay?

At least today. What is Saturday, right? At least on Saturday, I believe that if the boss yells at you today, before lunch, you will remember.

You will remember what I said. And you will say, she is trying to get prana into my pingala, but I am not doing it. They yell at you.

You say, what is the best way to get rid of a boss who is yelling? Just don't say, okay, alright. I am stupid.

I hurt the client. Okay, that's alright. Then you can get rid of that.

If you answer back, no, you are stupid. You told me to do a sangha, you know. Then you are moving, you are creating the, what do you say, June's boss.

Do you get it? So if you understand that you are moving prana out of pingala into sushumna with outer method, working on anamaya kosha, and then you are also using vijnanamaya kosha. You are using on two levels, okay.

Then you are doing double yoga. And then your yoga is more powerful. Then you reach the goal of yoga.

You become happier. You become a happier person. That's the goal.

Healthy and happy. Turn into light later. Okay, let's do some asanas, okay?

We'll do a little bit of asana. You have ten minute break. And then we'll do a little bit of asana.

This is my idea of asana.
