First of all, I'd like to apologize for being so early. Frankly, we were very, I would say, pressed in time preparing for the whole week, and actually the next five years or so. We're actually preparing for tomorrow.

Tomorrow, and every night of this week, we will be continuing a series on a younger sister. That began last fall, and it's been going on longer. We've been doing one chapter every six months, and then after that we'll go on to some other younger classes.

So, in New York, we've been doing one chapter every six months. I don't know if there's a student that's here. Yeah?

Alright. That's mostly booked up, but if you really want to know your sister, you're welcome to talk to Shishi. We talked to Shishi the other day.

And Shishi's taught me yoga, but that isn't specific. And that's late every night, this week, if you can. And I know that you have homework late tomorrow.

And it's a nice course. It's an Indian course, if I'm not mistaken. So, we've been sort of working on that.

Yeah. So, then just to let you know how this class will go tonight, we'll go for a good time, and we're going to take a good break this time, because there's not enough time. And we have a lot of people in the audience who shake hands last night, and we didn't have time.

So, we'll take a nice break. You can clean out the fundraiser bedside table, okay? Anything that doesn't smell, I'll get to have, okay?

And it's nice to have Tony Jones as a teacher. No, I'm going to say I'm going to start the legislation. Please don't eat everything.

Then we'll start from the... We're going to go a little bit more on the Mahamudra and Tushis tonight, and then we'll start on the Mahamudra physical practice, and then we're going through the basis of the Tushis on the physical practice, and then by the end of tonight, we'll get to that, and then we'll be ready to do the physical practice. We'll be from Monday, that's the basis.

I don't know. It looks smaller to me than I am, but that's the basis. So, I haven't registered yet.

We might have to drop the ball, I don't know. But then we'll be actually doing the physical exercise, because of the Mahamudra. And you don't need to be a yoga person.

You don't need to be physical. You can be a prostitute in your class. That's what I learned.

And it's still... It has to do with my family. So it doesn't matter what you're...

It's the real yoga, and not some kind of gymnastics or something like that. It's not a... I don't know.

It's not like jogging or something like that. It's not like... There's physical exercise.

Okay? But it's a way to go in your class. Okay?

And anyone can do it in their class. It doesn't matter what position you're in. So, Krishnamurti is going to start us on...

We're going to give you a meditation after this point, and then start going on with your meditations. We've been talking about Mahamudra as a yoga practice, because you use the inside, you get your meditation from the inside, and then you use your physical exercise from the outside. So, you're working to clear a channel on the inside of the body by roto-roto, or doing it, and then you're banging on the thigh with a stick from the outside, to loosen it, right?

From both sides. And like any other practice, it will work just like other things here also. So, I started that process yesterday.

But, you know, we teach you the six meditations, and then you can come on Monday, next Monday, and you can learn all the exercises. And if you don't have the proper context, if you don't have the proper preparation, you will hurt your neck, or you will fall asleep during your meditation. You see?

You need to plant certain seeds in your heart, which will grow, while you're doing exercises, or while you're doing meditations. All meditations, and all physical yoga, has these seeds. So, if you don't have those seeds, and we need to teach you some kind of practice, you'll fail.

And then you won't be happy doing it. So, there's a whole context, there's a whole group of practices you have to be doing. And the first one of all, we spoke about last night, that is to find, make it a goal in your life, to find a master at whatever practice you wish to learn.

If it's Mahamudra, then find your Mahamudra master. If it's meditation, then find your meditation master. If it's yoga, asana, then find your own master.

It's a big meaning to that. It was tradition to, if you heard there was a yoga teacher down on such and such a street, you were supposed to go down, meet their students as they were coming out of the center, take them out for coffee, ask them about this teacher, what are they like, what's their background, what's their training, talk to their students. That process by tradition takes nine years.

You don't go to a yoga class until you've like investigated, you're like an investigated reporter, you know. And you want to find out what was going on with the teacher. And you go and you ask hard questions, and you ask, are they really qualified?

Do they have a good personality? Do they really care for their students? Are they a good teacher?

Sometimes people know their thing and they're not a very good teacher. Sometimes as soon as they're a teacher, they don't know anything. So you need to really make it, you have to make a goal, a mission.

Fire is the one who knows exactly what you want, but test it out carefully before. Very carefully. Then, when you test them out, when you're satisfied, you know, when everything is ready, then you go and you learn from them.

Once you make the decision to go and learn from them, then you have to show respect, then you have to be respectful, then you have to be a real disciple. You have to treat them like a master. They are a master.

If they're not a master, you should shut it down, right? You're supposed to investigate them first. But when you're satisfied, then you approach them properly, respectfully, and you make a bond with them.

And that bond is the source. We call it vijnan-shishiru, vijnan-shishiru. It's the source of all attainments.

It's the bond between the student and the master. You've got to have this bond, or you won't go anywhere. So that's the first of all.

That's the first thing of all. And I don't say, myself, or anything like that. You'll find a master.

But if you take time, and you don't go, they say, don't be a hungry dog. You know? It's a joke.

Anything is a hungry dog, they'll eat it. You know? Whether it's a roll, or a piece of sweetmeat, or anything, they'll eat it.

Don't be like that. Don't go out there and first thing you come across. Be selective.

You know? Look around. Find a little master.

And then, make a bond with them. You see, that's the first thing of all. The second preparation would be is a concentration on how lucky you are.

[Говорящий 2]
Okay?

[Говорящий 1]
Like, you are so lucky. And you have everything you need. You are living in the wealthiest and most stable country that has ever existed.

You are one out of millions of people. You have everything you need. Look around New York.

Look around. Walk around New York. The biggest problem you have is to decide whether you want to sprinkle cinnamon on your cocoa or not.

You know? That's like the biggest issue that you have to deal with all day normally. You know?

And whether or not you can actually see your stomach. You are currently you have risen to the top of the average human being. You live in complete comfort.

You live in a rather high degree of peace and stability in this country. You don't have to think that people are going to attack you and everything. You know, all the people in New York City.

No, most people have never lived in those types of countries. You're in a unique situation. Externally, you have all you need to do.

And internally, as far as your body, your health, you're strong, you're healthy. That won't last. You see?

It's a unique time in your life. You know? You're young enough to get here.

You can stand up. You can get here. To live in New York or in the New York area, you have to be sharp.

You have to deal with your identity. You know, people here are different. And you're one of them.

You have this... You have a lot of good karma pushing you. You have incredible pockets.

Heaven's good karma you have. And from a tantric point of view, from a Mahamudra point of view, you have what we call five or six elements in your body. You have certain channels in your body.

You have... Even though... How do you say it?

Masculine power or feminine energy that you have is strong. It's powerful. You have certain components of your inner body, chakras, channels, winds, that are unique.

You see, many people don't have those. Many types of life, many forms of life don't have those. Evolutionarily, spiritually, you're at the top.

And if you live in a world... You live in a country where you're free to do what you want. And you can take it for granted.

It's never been like that. In most countries, if you don't do our kind of yoga, you go to prison. You know what I mean?

If you don't bow down to our picture in our church, you go to prison. Or we kill you. Or we suppress you.

What's going on in that country is totally abnormal for world history. You know, no one's telling you what to do. You have complete power to do any practice you want.

There's no government agencies that are stopping you from doing what you want to do. You see? And that's not the case in most of the countries in the world, in history.

It's just never been that way. And you don't have this, like, established church here that's telling you you can't... you can't obey this practice, you can't investigate this practice, you can't see efficiency.

You have to do what the church says. Or we'll burn you at the stake or something. You see?

We're not doing that. You don't know how different you are. You have everything going for you.

You have everything. So that's just a problem for you. You know, I mean, Donald would look at an American and say, man, you know, spiritual goldmine, just as many people do not know everything.

They have everything and a good education. Very critical education. Scientific education.

This is good. They ask questions. They're not satisfied with what somebody says.

They don't believe everything you say. They raise their hand. Why don't you get that?

You know? And you've been in a very different... You've been brought up.

You have all the tools. You have all the education. You have all the power.

And you have these teachings that have come to our country. You see? They're available.

You have everything. In Tibet, if you lived in a hostel, you would see the dialogue once a year. He would come out of the top palace one day in a palanquin.

You know? On four guys' shoulders in this covered cabin. And they were taking one turn on the city and taking back to them.

It's like nations. They would come. They'd see him.

They'd pray. And you could see him over somebody's shoulder. You might see that he knows something through the prayer of his palanquin.

And then he'd be back after the talk in the palace. This is the first Taliban in history that you should see. That anybody can see.

So, you have everything going through. You have everything going through. The downside of that is you must die.

You must lose everything. Everything. All the things I mentioned, you will lose.

OK? The strength you have, you'll lose. How?

By mutilating. By mutilating. In case anything comes your way, you use it up.

You're not going to kill them. After mutilating, you really use it up for anything. You're not going to kill them.

Your life is not infinite. Go around and look at places and meet the people who... Even in yoga studios.

Let's go to yoga studios. I went to some of the studios of the greatest masters in the world in India. And they get to this very sad point where they show you pictures.

You see? I was in the greatest... I was in Masjid al-Aqsa.

Masjid al-Aqsa. My turn. I was in Masjid al-Aqsa.

He's showing everybody pictures. Why? Because he can't do those things anymore.

He's too old now. He's like, this is me in 1928. I was doing his photos.

This is me in 1963. This is me in 1980. I was in his photos.

And then, you know, it's the point when you start showing pictures or you start talking about what you used to do. Because you use up your energy. It's not interesting.

You're using it up enough. I use this joke. My boss, I used to work in this company.

The boss, one of the owners was very incredibly wealthy. And I would go all the time to Tokyo. We do six countries in six days.

Tokyo, Taiwan, Singapore. Factories. Dining factories.

Building factories. And then, I got to carry a bag, you know, to the airport. You're paying about six figures to carry a bag to the airport.

And I'm the vice president of 800 people. But between us, I'm the bag carrier. So, we would go to Tokyo.

We'd have appointments all day. She'd cancel one day appointments and I'd say, why did she say I had to go to the cosmetics shop? Best cosmetics in the world.

She should go there. And, you know, some people went there. I was a very conservative guy.

I used to stand outside. And, she should go there and I'd be holding her bag. And, she'd come out and I'd go, I was with her.

Totally different face, you know, everything was carried in place. You know, even the eyebrows and all the completely changed. Nobody makes makeup on Japanese.

You have to buy makeup, you know. And then, I looked at her and I thought, you know, she's three hours older than when she's my age. You see?

She's got three hours in her makeup when she's my age. You see? Like, the time it takes her to buy her stuff and how to do it, she's got no makeup.

Right? And that's the way we are. That's the way we are.

By the time I finish telling you about how short your life is, it's going to be shorter. You see what I mean? That's the way we are.

It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Meeting teachers, it doesn't matter.

You think America's economically strong? It doesn't matter. It's coming in time.

You know? All the things you take for granted. Religious students?

We lost half of our freedoms. Citizenship freedoms. In our country, we got a retreat.

We went to the library. They had it as a forum. They said sign here.

Why? The government wants to know what books are changing now. You see?

The government can track what books are changing. Like, are you kidding? Like, this is a joke, right?

No, no. It's a retreat. You didn't hear about this.

Imagine that. Don't leave alone. It can happen in a week.

It can happen in a month. They can tell you you can't do Muhammad. It's in here.

Whatever incredible circumstances you have, help, use, intelligence. I have a student who got really sick one night. He's like one of the smartest students we have.

And then he got up and said, like, are you there? He said, I'm not really scared this week. Why?

I realized that even my mind, I can use my mind in a way. You know, get real sick. Get really sick.

You can't think after that. And maybe I can know if I can think. And then as you get older, your mind is that's the positive way to compare to the positive way to think.

I am just absolutely unbelievable. You are one out of 100 men in here tonight. You are or one of the other communities, you are special.

You have incredible skills. You can teach my name to this number. That is required.

That part is, you're losing it every hour. You're losing all those opportunities as they come. Now we go back to what's required, which is the potential of what you can do.

Because you have all of these teachers' resources and teachers' proposals, because you're a healthy, young, intelligent, you can do yoga, you can do these special events, you can think about those special events, you can get enlightened in this life. So what's that? People are like, I don't know.

We have daily friends. We went to Bombay. They're dining groups.

They're extremely wealthy. They took us up on this anomaly. Costs, I don't know, $100 billion to turn up the sidewalk.

There's a new sidewalk over there, a lot of people. Our friends made it. Our friends built it, and they are opticists.

And behind that top is a mountain. They're incredibly, just incredibly wealthy people. And then they get up to the top of this whole mountain.

We went up there. And they have their Jain Mahavira. It's called Mahavira.

Like a Jain Buddha. And they said, this is not weird. And it's special.

Why? Only one of them every billion years or something. You see?

Only one person can get to Mahavira every billion years. So what's the chance? My friend said it's Dubai.

Dubai, what's the chance you can become Mahavira? No chance. No chance.

No one can do that for you. It would take a billion years. No one can do that.

But that's not true. I mean, from our point of view, everybody in this room can become an enlightened being in your life, in your lifetime. You can do it.

If you practice well, you can do it. And it's something you are supposed to do. It's one thing you're supposed to do in your life.

You're not meant to eat and sleep and work hard and die. You're not meant to die. You were born in this country for no reason.

You're exposed to these diseases for no reason. You're here tonight for no reason. There are no mistakes in karma.

There's no coincidences in karma. Everything has a purpose. You are being prepared for something.

People are preparing you for something. Since you were a child, every movie you ever saw was prepared for you. Every book you ever read was prepared for you.

Every person you ever met was prepared for something. It really is human's world. It really is like that.

People are preparing you. You have to live up to it. You have to.

At some point, you have to say, man, I get it. I could become a being who could help hundreds of thousands of people, millions of people, directly, at the same time, sitting next to each one of them. I can do that.

Every human being has that power. Mahamudra is just to bring out that power. You already have those seeds.

You already have that capacity. You just need to bring it out of you. You see, each person here is meditating right now.

And so, so get excited about this meditation. And think about your destiny. Think about why you're here.

You're not here just to get all the, you know, eat, have so many Starbucks cookies and then die, you know? It's not that. It's not long time.

You're here for one time thing. And you know it. You're sensitive.

Ever since you were a kid, you've done it. Something higher is supposed to happen. So practice it.

Practice it while you can. OK, we'll do the next meditation. You do have to do this meditation continually, and it's good to do it in a minute.

But the root of this practice, we've got to think for, it's like, you know, we try to go to the Nalasat Cross. We go to the Nalasat School in 16th Street. I'm going to go to the 7th Street in China.

We go to Lin City. The first thing they do is they find out what's the nearest yoga center. And we just go.

And it's just fun to do. We've got to think for. You know, we don't even know who we are or what kind of yoga class we need.

We just go. Because my mom or my parents were on the rotation already. So he used to say, if you take one pencil and try to rotate it, it's easy.

If you take 30 pencils and try to rotate that, it's harder. And if you have a wonderful people who are rotating, it's like 30 pencils together. It's easy.

And the energy is good. So I think in Jainism, I don't know if you've heard of it. Where is it?

So Jainism, I think, it begins in Lama Yoga Meditations and following religions. I think they're in Patigal? I think?

Yeah. And then the last one is in the BDG Institute, where we continue the talk with Patigal. And you should go with it.

OK? It's the only way you can succeed. It's the only way you can succeed.

You can't do it at one time. You have to get excited at one time. Because the next day, you've got to go do something.

And it's easier without other people at the beginning. We always do our practice together. And it balances out.

And Patigal is like, I don't want to do this meditation all day. And except for like today, I don't want to do it on the same day. So I'm going to be like, oh, shh.

When you're done with your practice, it's just as good as new. So you've got to have fun doing it. Lama Meditations, you should go.

OK? When you're not feeling so good, when you're kind of numb, when you don't feel like doing anything, just sit on your seat. Close your eyes.

Think about how lucky you are. Think about all of these people that are helping you. It's called the Tathagata.

And it's a good meditation. From the time you were a kid up to now, someone has been helping you every hour of the day. You're handed on like a baton from person to person.

The person's got your reality. You're after yourself, you know? And then the leaders want to find you.

They want to help you, you know? If you're walking through the store, they'll say, can I help you, you know? And then you're just being handed from person to person.

So think about it sometimes. When you don't feel so good about your meditation, this is a way to go about it. Just think about how lucky you are.

How many people have spread their arms, taking care of you? And the more you do the meditation, then when you walk out on the street every day, you just have to see everybody knocking on the door. It's like a reverse triangle.

You know? Everyone's trying to knock on the door. You get it?

You know, we're all trying to help you, you know? Come on. You know?

And then you just feel lucky. You feel good about it. That brings me to the next preparatory practice that we do.

It's called Sattva. It's called Sattva. Sattva.

Sattva. Sattva. Sattva.

This is the preparation for Mahamudra. In other words, you hope to see in his school of yoga, if you hope to do these meditations where you see some ultimate phenomena, you've got to have Sattva. Sattva means to collect new good karma.

Like, you need such powerful new good karma. You've got enough good karma to get here, tonight and yesterday. But frankly, you just use up.

OK? You just spent that good karma. You know?

It's down to zero again. You see? It's very nasty, this karma thing.

You see? But you've got this power. You've got so much good karma.

Authentic Sattva Mahamudra. And then you use up that karma. Tomorrow you won't have that karma.

You see? You've got to keep making new powerful karma. Or you won't have enough to practice Mahamudra.

You'll forget. You won't make it to the spiritual state of consciousness. You know?

You'll decide you don't feel like doing Mahamudra this morning. You won't have enough good karma to want to do it. You see?

The bad thing is you don't even know that you don't have good karma anymore because you don't want to know. Because you don't have the karma to know. It's very weird.

OK? It's a weird thing. So how do you make...

I was just... How do you make the best karma faster? Here it is.

There's nothing like this. This is world view number seven. We're telling you six different kinds of world views.

This is number seven. Honest to God, this is number seven. OK?

This is beyond all the others. You walk out in the street and you look around and you try to spot someone who's an angel. OK?

You go to work and you try to spot the one person at work who is an angel. You go to the kitchen and sit with a bag of food. You look around the table and you say, which person is an angel?

OK? There's always one. There's a big plan for you to take care of your special.

You know? It's like a date with an angel. You know what I'm talking about.

But anyway. There's one plan for you. And you're there.

So you're... This is an incredibly intense method to direct your karma. This is the easiest and most powerful way to direct your karma.

And it don't cost you nothing. You see? It's totally free.

You don't have to sign up for anything anywhere. You see? You just get on the bus, you fly yourself down and you look across the street or in the subway to which one is it.

You see? Which one is it. Just thinking that way is the fastest, most powerful way to direct your karma.

OK? So that's a sign. That's a sign.

Now. You have sat down. And I can imagine it takes very long but that's as cool as it is.

I can tell you. So try it. And make it a practice every single day.

Every single day. Everywhere you go. Right?

Maybe at home. But anyway. I'll finish this up.

Sat down. Down means get rid of your old bad karma. It's one thing to collect your good karma.

But you got all this old nasty karma. Right? You got all this old nasty karma.

And they say, go into your old nasty karma from your worst karmas first. Like... Whatever it was.

You know? The most serious negative thing you have done in your life. OK?

Or that you're doing now. Like if you just have a tendency towards anger, for instance. You know what it is.

OK? When you think you'll harm, you'll come up with the second worst one. If you think real hard, if you really meditate on it, you'll come up with the second worst thing you're doing.

Or the second worst thing you did. Because no one wants to talk about the first one. You see?

No one wants to think about the first one. It might be the person sitting right next to you. You see?

And it's hard to admit it. You see? So don't be satisfied with the second most negative thing you're doing.

Like, be super honest with yourself. It's like... You know, really, honestly, the most serious thing I'm doing is is this other thing.

You know? Which I really don't want it to come to me. OK?

Then... The best way to purify all that karma. Maybe you did something when you were 20 years old.

Maybe you're doing something now with someone who's sitting right next to you. You don't know. Whatever it is, your head is bad habit.

The headiest thought you have in your life, then just do the opposite for a short time. OK? For a short time.

Like, if you have a habit of anger towards a certain person, then you say, OK, today from 3 o'clock to 4 o'clock I won't get angry. With this person. And then, you know, what I do is I usually go in the bathroom a lot with this person.

You know? Like, 2.25 in the bathroom. I usually do this at work, you know?

OK, I'm 15 years. I can't be angry with this person. I'll just go sit in the stall and listen, you know?

And they kick you out the bathroom, so I'm thinking, you stay in there, you lock the door. You're just there. I'm teaching you this.

You're teaching your body. You're teaching your kundalini. Because if I see this person, I'm going to get mad at them.

I know. I'm not doing that. You know?

If I see you like this, I'm going to be upset with you. So, just... That's what monastery is all about.

I mean, it's called... The word in Tibet is morality of the boarders. You see?

Just a board guy. You see? And in a monastery, you don't see girls.

So you just... You go to a monastery and you don't have that problem. You don't have to fight for it.

There's just a number of girls there. You see what I mean? And that's called...

It's a very low level of morality. But sometimes when you're not up for it, that's all you can do. You see what I mean?

So, pick a time. 3 o'clock to 4 o'clock. I'm going to be totally nice to them.

I'm not going to get angry at this person. And it might be so difficult for you that you might have to just avoid them for that hour. You see what I mean?

As you get stronger, you can be with them for 10 minutes and then go to the bathroom for 15 minutes. You see what I mean? You say, you know, I'm not a king.

I've done it. And then, as you get stronger and stronger, you can start calling them up when you're not up for it. You know?

And talk to them on the phone. Ask them out for a minute or something. See if you can put up with them for 9 hours, 10 hours.

You know? And like that. So, that proves all bad karma.

So, whatever all bad karma you have, everybody has a story. Everybody has something that they screwed up when they were 19 or something. You know?

We all have bad stories. Pick your karma that you have, the heaviest karma that you ever needed. And we call such a story.

Such a destroyed beast. You can negate that karma if you just avoid it, not for a certain period of time. Say, I'm going to avoid it for an hour.

You know? I won't do that for an hour. I won't yell at anybody for an hour.

Something like that. Somebody asked my mom what he said I didn't get to mention. How much do you got to do this to wipe out all that karma?

He said, it depends on the karma. Okay? But, if you were particularly angry with someone, we say, for example, abortion is murder.

According to Buddhism, abortion is murder. When the sperm meets the egg, the consciousness enters the body at that time. So, you know, many people in America, both men and women, have been involved with that.

So, if that was something you have done, you might want to volunteer at a hospital to help for an hour or something like that. Or you might want to just help a single mother, you know, like buy groceries for her. Or, you know, arrange his babysitter's case or something like that.

And you dedicate that old karma. You send it back in that old karma. And it destroys it.

I call it sister destroy. It's like a charisma symbol. You send it back in time.

And it takes that old bad karma. And then it destroys the old karma. So, if it's something serious that you're taking a life, then you might have to do it three, four, five, six months.

And then you get signs that the karma is coming back. You feel some likeness. You feel some happiness.

Your conscience feels clear. You start having dreams about flying. You can have dreams about having a blister open up your body and burst.

Some people have a dream about growing up. Some people have dreams about a white life, white dreams, white general life. And then these are signs that the karma has been cleansed.

And you won't have to experience these things often. So, that's two sides of Mahamudra preparation. Sathya.

Sathya. Collect the most powerful karma you can. Just each day, when you go out on the street, which person here is a ninja?

That thought in itself is one of the most powerful karmas you can do. It's worth days of other kinds of good deeds. Just for a few minutes, it's worth three days of other kinds of good karma.

Okay? And then the other side, keep the worst karma to yourself. Take the worst karma to yourself.

Go after it. How? Do the opposite.

How long? As long as you can. Five minutes?

Ten minutes? Five days? You know, set a time that's good for you.

And then that action destroys the old bad karma. Then when you go into ashram class next month, and you gather the yoga in your mind, and this guy says, try to hardly let me grab your tongue. And you're like, could I grab my kneecap?

You know? No. And then the Mahamudra will work on you.

You see? Why? Because the seeds are ready.

The seeds are clean. The field is clean. The mind is clean.

You see? Everything is ready. So you need that before you do these things.

Otherwise they don't work. They won't work. Yeah.

Is that OK? We're going to take a break. Oh, one thing.

Can I have this thing? This is Mercedes. OK.

That's a good one. This is a thing that's interesting right now. We are preparing 18 of these posters.

This is number two, and number three is in the can, I think. And number three is close to it. You did most of the work in number three.

But these are all the teachers in history who taught everything we did. Like, we're very big on limits. We're very big on who should know over the last ten and a half thousand years.

Each teacher who passed on what we're learning. Like, the stuff that you're getting here tonight is very authentic. Worldview number five.

Mahabharata meditation number five comes from this limit. OK? And so, it's like baseball cards.

You've got to collect them all. You know what I mean? You should have it in your hand and in your mind and in your heart.

You should have your lineage. You should know. We call it family tree.

This is your family. You have a together family, and then you have a spiritual family. And those are different things.

You know, genetically, you came from certain racial, type, blah, blah, blah, nationality, lineage, blah, blah, blah. That's why your hair has such color. I don't care if you're good or bad.

And, like, this is your spiritual family. And you should know. And you should try.

You know, I got the Ramana Buddha. I got the Ramana Buddha teaching. I got the transmission.

I'm in the lineage now. And at the bottom, I see today, there's about 50 people who have been trained who are teaching now, at least, to other people in this group. You see what I mean?

So, this is a really cool opportunity. I'll give you the yellow one, OK? You have to sign up.

We're going to save you. She's our host today. She has it.

She's going to deliver it to you in the coming week or two weeks. So you guys come out and sign up and go. The money is $25.

We give the money as a donation to the three jewels. It goes out to the people who teach the teachings. But again, $5, $4 per page, and a series of references.

So, They'll be available Monday at the Asana Church and also at the Yoga Sutras. Yeah. So they'll be available at the Yoga Sutras.

They'll be available Monday when we do the Asanas. They'll be available. Sign up now.

She has a certain amount of money. But I think you should keep collecting them. You should know where this stuff comes from.

You should check all the teachings. Where does this stuff come from? Is this something made up in the back of you while you were doing your yoga?

Or, you know, is this kind of a real tradition? A real lineage? And so, you can check this out.

We'll put that over there in the corner. And you can come up and check it out. We're saving you some money.

If you didn't get a chance to sign up because of your height, please come up. We'll have more of that tonight. We'll take it all over again.

We're going to do another meditation. We've got this special American meditation where you eat as many baked goods as you can. And especially brownies.

And then, you try to meditate. And, you jackals all over the place. Take a look at this.

Yom Kippur practice. It's a really good practice to do meditations. And if you'd like to follow along with this meditation, Yes.

Okay. I'm just going to read it for good luck, okay? sat-chai-la-ba-lai-tad-tri-no ya-ta-da-ra-hi-na-ya-ka sar-le-sham-yo-ga-man-tra-na ta-ta-da-ra-hi-ku-la-vi The Lord of Serpents is the foundation which supports all the lands of Earth with their mountains and their forests.

And just so is the coiled inner fire. The foundation that supports all the secret practices of yoga. This is a reference to the idea of kundalini.

My sister is called Chandali. Sometimes called Tulu in Tibetan. And it means like inner fire.

Or inner goddess. And, there are many ways to visualize this goddess. Many ways to think of her.

But, I think one useful way is a little bit special. So, take your left hand. Take your ring fingers, good luck.

Touch the top of your hand. Here. You have a special inner channel that goes from here.

Go up. Top of the head. And it goes down to your neck.

And then down to your heart. You have to switch. See if you're doing your...

I forget what that's called. Then down to the... down the backbone.

All the way to the bottom of the backbone. And then it doesn't have to hurt. It comes up the front to the sexual level.

And there is one special channel of energy which goes from here down to there. And we'll talk more about this as we do the yoga exercises together next Monday. But, inside this channel is all your good thoughts.

OK? All your good thoughts of kindness, wisdom, happiness. They flow through this channel.

Then there are two other channels. We'll do one of them. OK?

Take your left hand. Like that. On the left side of your nose.

It goes like that. Goes up the left side. And here it crosses over that other side.

Like a vine or like a piece of ivy. Then it comes back to the left side. Goes to the top of the head.

Crosses over again. Comes back to the left. Comes down to the neck.

Crosses over again. Comes down the back. Twists around three times.

One. Two. Three.

At the heart. So hard to open the heart. Then down to the...

behind the navel. At the lateral anemone. Crosses over.

Once a little time below that. And then the other. Twice more.

OK? You don't have to do it. Then there's a variety channel on this side.

So it can go like this. Crosses over this. Crosses over.

In the cross joint, you might see it crossing over three times. Have you seen that in America? The thing with the two snakes coming up inside.

I don't know what they call that. Cryptus? Where are they from?

I think it comes from that. Anyway, there's a... It's like two circles.

Twisting around three times. Three maybe times around the body. And inside these two channels, the ones that are negative thoughts, like on one side is angry thoughts, and on the other side it is wanting things.

Thoughts about wanting things too much. And then they cross over like there and there and there. When you want things too much, for example, or you're getting angry, let's say.

Let's say you're getting angry. Then a lot of prana or inner energy flows to the side channel. And then it gets bad.

And it chokes off the central channel. It even reflects itself in your forehead. You go like this.

And that tightens this knot here. It tightens the crossover point. It causes more pressure here.

You see? When you get angry, you're concerned, or you're upset, you're like this line here. There's three lines, two lines.

You get this line here. And then the wind is being cut off. Then when you take a hot shower, and you got your back in the shower, and there's hot water pouring on the knot at the back, it loosens.

And then the knotty, the knot of the inner music comes out. And you feel like singing, you see? And people do sing in the shower.

And it's not a coincidence. There's a yogic recommendation, you know? You should feel like you want to sing in the shower.

It's very beautiful. So, so really it's like a serpent is twining around the center channel. And then the practice of Mahamudra, and what they're saying in the first verse here, the practice of Mahamudra is all about straightening out that serpent.

Straightening out, releasing tension where it crosses over. Like, if you got good at this Mahamudra practice, the yoga, now we're on to the yoga practice, right? The Prana, the inner music.

The meditation is almost done. I'm doing now the body thing. If you got good at this, this would be a sign.

This would be smooth, you see? All the models want this, you know? No wrinkles up here, you know?

And this knot here would be loosened. If the knot at the heart loosens, then you have ultimate love for people. Very extraordinary kind of experience.

If this really opens up our minds, you can see all the living creatures from every world, in every world, at the same moment. And you have this experience that you will spend the rest of your life showing them, you see? It's this extraordinary experience that you can open up this knot.

Three trees. So, this is the idea, one of the interpretations of Kundalini. The practice of Mahamudra is to straighten out, to release this power, Kundalini, in the body.

So, we'll be talking now on how to do that. So, let's go over the meditation style, and so on. And, really, you can't get it in one night.

It takes a while. You should go through this process. Practice together.

But, just to get the idea straight, in the preliminary step, before you start to practice the six, you're just trying to watch the fact that you are happy feeling. You see? So, then you're not talking about a couple of things.

You're feeling something in your mind, but you're not separate in your mind. And you're watching yourself while you're feeling. So, you can't examine the feeling until you can learn to watch the feeling.

You see what I mean? And a lot of the school things that are there, you can watch those things, but they don't go anywhere. And it doesn't help you.

You see? But it is true that the divinity, the first job you have, is learning to close your eyes, get in your head, and watch yourself having a feeling. Right?

We can say, what's the word we use? I am having a feeling. Right?

So, I have to be separate from the feeling. Right? I am having a feeling that comes from me.

Right? So, then you have to observe who's the me, and what's the feeling. So, you have to think of that as a curse.

That's not a meditation, then. You just gotta get a feeling in your hands. The advantage of that, again, that's just because it's intimated, in the scriptures, is that it will keep you awake.

It's hard to go forward. It's hard to go to sleep. It's hard to think about what life is.

If you watch it, you'll feel it. Okay? It's a good place to start your meditation.

Then you, then you think about how do I feel right now? I feel pretty good. Everybody does this to me.

I get a lot of attention that I, you know, that's cool. And, then you're about to embark on a thought you've never had before. This is going to teach you intensity.

In ten minutes, we'll be out of the car. Some guy will come celebrate it all. And I'll be like, man, this is so damn, you know.

Then I'm going to be like, it's naive. It's foolish to think that your feeling is everlasting. Whatever good feeling you have, or bad feeling, right?

It's naive. That's the first moment of your meditation. Get past that obstacle.

Stop living in the present moment. Wake up. Wake up.

Your feeling is continuing constantly. Okay? Whatever feeling you have now, worry about it.

Don't get too attached to it. In ten minutes, it's going to be the opposite, and you know it. You know what I mean?

Okay. So don't, don't stress. Already, it's the first kind of emptiness, right?

It's the emptiness of an unteaching feeling. Is there any such thing as an unteaching feeling? No.

So it's what we call one kind of emptiness. Where is this unteaching feeling? Point to the unteaching, under the creation, living reality center.

Point to the unteaching feeling in this room. Point to the unteaching feeling. There is this new thought.

That's a kind of emptiness. Okay? You just resolve it.

That's the first kind of emptiness. That's the first kind of enlightenment. Got it?

It gets easier. What's number two? Three.

Oh, yeah. Now, watch your feelings in meditation. Here's number two.

You watch what you're feeling, and you feel like you're feeling your mind. So, it's like your shirt, you know, or your blouse. You want to take it on, you want to take it off.

You can. That's what my need is. My need is, I decide whether I'm married or not.

I cannot marry without being married. I own it, right? Then, you apply that to your thoughts, to your feelings.

I take control of how I'm going to feel in my feelings. Okay? I promise you, five minutes in general, I'll be as happy as I am now.

I promise you. Why? Because it's in my mind.

It's in my feelings. I own it. I let it come into here, into here.

Then, five minutes in general, it's bad. You've got to wait. Five minutes in general, I tell you, so many people ask me, how can you five minutes?

Now, I just feel wonderful. You can make all of that in class. You can fight over whatever you want.

You know, there's this guy, he's here, she's there, you know, I can be there. And then, I feel bad about it. And, no, and, I can't control it.

You see? You can't control it. Because then you're all, this is a problem for you.

You see? You can't control your feelings. Can you control your shirt?

Because you own it. You own it. Right?

I own it. It's mine. Why?

Because I can do with it what I want. Why? Because I paid the money for it.

Yeah? So, it's yours, right? Yeah.

What's my need? My need is, I can do with it what I want. Right?

So, it won't be, in a thrift shop, down in Soho, in three minutes, you know. Right? Guarantee?

Promise? You think your family is going to keep all your clothes? When you pass, they always take you to the thrift shop.

No. Promise is when you open the thrift shop in three minutes. You own it.

Right? You own it. Do you own it?

You don't have control. You don't have control like that. Owning is a stupid idea.

Owning is, that's not what you want to do. You don't, you don't own the promise. You can't tell me what you have in front of me.

Right? So, you don't own it. You don't control it.

Okay? To get over that, is the second one. What's the third one?

[Говорящий 2]
Synchronicity.

[Говорящий 1]
Oh, yeah. You've got a product, right? Somebody has to do the work, right?

You need somebody who has to do it. And it's a long story, I don't have time to go through it. But basically, according to our idea, you have created it.

A new product. You, you, you, you have to step on it. Before.

As soon as it's time to use this product. It's, it's stuck there. It's right in.

It's got, in your prioritization line, like an airplane, like a runway, like an airport. It needs to take off. And boom.

You've got this person. Who has to do it. Right?

We believe that. So, it's the idea that when you walk into a room and someone's has to do it, you can't be angry anymore. At them.

This is the third Bahá'u'lláh. Meditation. This is the third kind of emptiness.

Point out to me a person in this room that you didn't create. Point out to me a situation in your life that you didn't create, because you didn't say it to somebody else. Saying, there's no such thing.

That's the third kind of emptiness. That's the third Bahá'u'lláh. You see how you're dropping parts of your old self?

I'm the last learner. I'm really the last learner. Come on.

In five minutes, can you tell me what you're going to do? So you drop that idea of yourself. Then you've got the second idea of yourself.

But I control. I control my life. I control myself.

Yeah, tell me if you have contingents. Tell me if you control that. Then you drop the second one.

That's not hungry. You keep dropping parts of yourself that you don't need anymore because you're in trouble forever. Right?

Oh, but there's people like me who are truly bad. You know? There's people like me who I should be angry at.

They did something to me wrong. Yeah, you point to me a person you hate that you didn't create. That's the third type.

Then you drop another part of yourself. You see what I mean? Then you drop another unnecessary baggage.

You see what I mean? There isn't anybody you hate that you didn't create. You should be going home like you hate yourself.

Stop lying to people. They didn't do anything. Somebody likes them.

Is that another one? What's the next one?

[Говорящий 2]
The fourth one is the label is not fixed.

[Говорящий 1]
That's what it is. Yeah, that's the next one. Finding a person who's true to people.

We were in a conference and there was a person who I don't know but we were a coffee driver. He's this funny guy who I met in a big crowd and we were talking and he was driving us around and he said, oh, he said, I picked up a guy yesterday who looked like Benjamin Franklin. And we said, we're lucky it wasn't a civilian saying.

And, you know, someone looked like him. And he turned around and he said, but did you know his family probably does that? You know?

He just said that, you know. Out of the blue. He said, probably his kids really like him, you know.

He's just thinking, you know. But that's number four. That's my boyfriend number four.

You see, that I can't remember his name. And it's like, you know, it's like this person that you don't like certainly likes him. That's another truth that is coming to you.

That's another truth that is coming to you. You can't find a person that someone doesn't like and someone's not attracted to. There's not a single person in the world that everybody thinks is the worst person in the world.

You see? There's no such thing. Drop that part of yourself.

See, now you've dropped another kind of unusual self. You've dropped another part of your values that you didn't care about. You think someone's not nice?

Well, guess what's coming up. Why? Because somebody loves them.

Remember when I was young, we would watch the news together. Like I'd get home from work at 10.59 and we'd be watching the news together and they'd say, OK, here's the kid who just shot 21 people in Brooklyn, you know, in a drug ring. He killed 21 people, you know.

And this guy lives here and he's having kids in the street. And then they'd run up and he'd go to his mom. You know what they always say?

He's done the best work. He's done the nicest work. He's, like, unbelievable.

People don't understand that. You know, and everybody says, look, he proves wonderful. There's no problem.

You know? Somebody loves that person. So someone's experiencing that thing in a totally different way.

Who's right? You or the... It's different.

They're both right. Vote for the kind that's seen in a different way. Right?

So let's go, drop that one. Drop it. You're still being so bulldozed right now.

You're not attached to it. I'm going to be happy forever like I am right now. You know?

Or you're not so attached to those limitations. Oh, I can be happy if I want to be happy. I can just be happy.

Be happy. You know? And then you can't be happy.

Let that one go. It wasn't the same.

[Говорящий 2]
Same seed.

[Говорящий 1]
Oh, yeah. Yeah. I don't like this person.

Yeah, well, stop blaming him. Blame you, you, me. Then you drop this other guy.

You're liberated inside. You let go of all this unattachedness. Then another one.

Okay, he's not like you. Somebody else likes you. Somebody else is experiencing kindness and love as a person.

Whose fault is that that you guys can't have a good time together? Whose fault is that? Then you let that go.

So, so far, you're like, I'm not attracted to this person. Then you're not completely in control of where you are. And then the third one was what?

[Говорящий 2]
The same seed.

[Говорящий 1]
Oh, they came from you. And then suddenly all of a sudden you start having this experience because you, you made that plan. Then all of this is like liberating.

Like, by number four, you should be like, I don't know, I don't want to tell somebody that, you know. If you want to. Okay.

Number five. What's number five? Half and half.

Oh, yeah. Number five is cool. Half of bad characters are coming from them.

You know, they do have a right face. But not face to the ground. You know, but teach our children how to eat.

You know, I mean, they aren't really thinking about that. We don't say there's this or something, nothing. There is gestures.

You know, there's stuff. There's physical data coming into you. You can't deny that.

There's louder sounds coming out of you. There's red colors just coming out of your face. There's growls coming out of your mouth.

You know, something's coming out of you. Things you just have to think about. Right?

Bad stuff coming, incoming shouts, incoming arguments, Then, after it's coming from you, you say, you can take advantage of that fact. You can grab at it and turn it around. You say, cause, make the thought follow into a path.

Okay? You can even do this with the experience of death. You can even do this with the experience of death.

Grab at it, flip it around, and use it for something. Use it for something good. I'll give you an example.

I'm on the phone with my boss. I'm on the phone from, you know, when there were no phones from Sarah. I have to travel an hour and a half to get to a phone that would be really nice to get.

I'm on the phone with my boss. He says, buy me 2,000 cans of yellow diamonds. I'm doing this.

Yellow. Like, Wednesday, yellow. 10,000 yellow diamonds.

Okay, you want 10,000 yellow diamonds in 12 days, right? Yeah. Sweet.

You know, I'm like, you know, I'm like, okay. And I go to the bar and I buy 2,000 yellow diamonds. It's not so hard because no one wants them.

And I go home and I'm sitting in his office with one of the people who has his number on their cell phone microphone and we get this huge glass wall from the very end of the room with his son playing around in another box which was great. So, I'm going to talk to my son before I get home today. He's sitting at the boardroom table.

I'm going to get this signed out for him to do it. And he opens his metal box and it's 10,000 yellow diamonds. He goes, yeah, that's how you do it.

I said, you told me. I don't think I've ever seen a guy like that in my life. He didn't know.

I said, I have this information in my office. Well, you know, I don't know. He said, this is a German company.

You know, I don't really know how to handle it. This is actually $20. I don't know how to handle $20.

He said, this is a German company. You don't know how to handle it. I said, you know, I don't really know how to handle this.

He said, pretty difficult because I don't know how to handle He said, this is a German company. I can marry you. It's not a stupid game.

It's all about, we make up a human song. You take a problem, and you just grab it. It doesn't make sense in any way.

You just grab it. It's coming in. And you turn it around.

And you put it in your pocket. And you turn it around. That's number five.

There's no such thing as a problem that's a hundred percent going to go away. You always have a say in how it's presented. You can grab it, touch it in the air, put it in your hand.

You can almost do that. And that's what we're talking about. So now you've got five options in your pocket.

Not just one number six. You can't go home with that. That's a total lie right there.

We've got to finish, okay? And I have a problem. Here's another position, okay?

I'll tell you a little bit more about this. If you think about the first five, they are all about how to deal with the crap that's going on. You see?

The first five. You can't be happy forever. Just be easy.

That's number one. You can't control the time that you do. Just relax.

Okay? You might be in this position. So, what do you call this?

I'll give you this as a word. Feet in the back of your head. Don't get stuck.

You can use this as a bad example. Don't get stuck already. Grab a towel.

Number four. Yes. Some of you might think this as a good thing.

Take comfort in the fact that your problem is the problem of somebody else's life. You see? Some of you are like this.

These are the people who pay you to be in certain places during the time of day. And they keep fighting. You should get it done.

Don't feel so worried. The problem comes up when you're enjoying it. So, relax.

[Говорящий 2]
Yes.

[Говорящий 1]
Like, here's your problem. Okay, it's a problem. It's a real problem.

There's a problem behind the issue. Do your best to make something good out of it. Don't put it in your own mind.

Try to make something good out of it. Now, number six is radically different. And number six is the true one.

Okay? So, you've got to get number six right. Number six says, Stop the crap from happening in person.

Don't become a crowd manager. My mom told me not to be a person, but I think it's important. I think it's important, isn't it?

Don't be a crowd manager. Don't be like, my life has to be managing that stuff in class. Is that what it is?

Is that the only way to do it? Just be a crowd manager? Like, stop it happening.

Try to think of it in a different way. Try to interpret it in a different way. Relax while I'm talking to you.

You know what I mean?

[Говорящий 2]
No, I mean, there's limitations like that all the time. We get that all the time. Relax.

[Говорящий 1]
Ask for unity. What?

[Говорящий 2]
My mother died. My father's sick. I don't even have a grandmother anymore.

[Говорящий 1]
What do you want me to do? Number six says, stop the crap. Stop trying to be bad.

Stop trying to make bad decisions. Stop trying to deal with stuff. Stop trying to be a true good fellow.

It is bad. I've got a lot of things in common with me that I have to be a true good fellow. You know?

Couldn't I just live in a world where I didn't have to crap?

[Говорящий 2]
And didn't have to turn it and bend it?

[Говорящий 1]
You know, couldn't I just live in a place where I didn't have to stumble? And I didn't need all those people fighting all over me? You know what I mean?

[Говорящий 2]
Could we just arrange things that way? And then you can have the first cry. I'll be sick.

You know?

[Говорящий 1]
So things like that. How do we stop those things from happening to us in the first place? It's proactive, right?

And we call that gardening. Gardening. In all the texts, it's called, te-ta-she-se-pa.

Fourth chapter of Yoga Sutra. Be as a farmer. Be as a gardener.

Set up your reality. In advance. Okay?

Set up a world that's going to be no crap. Set up a no-crap world in advance. And then don't get cramped into it.

Just live in a world where you don't have to do it. Okay? Set up your life.

So that the suffering stops in advance. So then you don't have to go through all these gymnastics to try to make it better. Okay?

And that's the ultimate Mahamudra. That's the ultimate road to it. You have total, over-preventive, bad things from happening.

In the future. What's happening to you now, is going to go into the future in the past. You can't stop that right now.

Push a tree back into the ground. Come on. Push a tree back into the ground.

That ain't the way to do it. Pick up the acorn and smash it. You see?

When the seed is small, get the tree there. Don't wait until it's like, three tons of tree. You can't push this back into the ground.

It's too big. You can't do. You can't control what's happening now.

You can control it after six months. Okay, so six months you can manage to crack it. And then at the end of six months, there won't be any acorn.

You see? So that's not bad. How do you do that?

Hmm? Take care of it. Just take care of it.

Stop thinking about yourself. Okay? Take care of it.

It's very easy. And it's very hard. Okay?

Just take care of it. Every moment of the day, every chance you get, watch this other people become a, how do you say it, a spy. They say, so-so.

Watch what the world needs. Spy on the people. Watch their lives.

People always do what they want when they get to come into a room. I am an American, as I know. If I walk into a room and there's chocolate chip cookies in the corner, I'm like, Yeah.

Oh, really? Well, find out what I'm doing. Yeah.

Are you drunk? Do you want to go to the graveyard? Find out what I'm doing.

See, I serve. Just serve. And take care of everybody that I work with.

And then, that's kind of me. Then everything works out for me. Everything is beautiful in your life.

And your life is like a dream. Your life is like a, I don't know, what kind of, super, holy, yellow, sea chair, you know? I never think I'll ever see it again.

But, it's like an unbelievable life. Just unbelievable. Just, your whole life is like an unbelievable part.

It's like, it's like, so just take care of people.

You know?

[Говорящий 1]
And that's the last line. No more dealing with stuff that's not part of you. No more, just drop you, take care of you.

It's really beautiful. So, that's how I am. This is how I'm living.

Again, don't leave stuff behind you, you know? Anyone who does this, also, this practice, goes back, basically, very powerful, you know? You need to have motivation to have this stuff, okay?

Would I like to ask Chelsea Danvers? Oh, and Dave Conrad, from the Haitian Institute. And, oh, some of us.

These two people made this happen. I'd like to give them a big hand.
