[Говорящий 1] Okay, we start. Okay, first I'd like to welcome all the people who are now watching on television. Now we have here, oh, I think about seven, eight hundred people. And right now, they are all learning about diamond cutter. And I'd like to thank my translator, Mr. Badbot. And I'd like to thank all the people who worked here to make this happen. So, for five nights at the same time, five days, at seven o'clock, starting today, every day at seven o'clock, we will start to talk about this very great book from Mongolia. First I came here two years ago because I heard that your country, Mongolia, has most Buddhist books in the world. And I came to your big libraries, and in your library, you know, you have more than one million books. I think you have about one and a half million books here. And now, Mongolia has, I think, most strong Buddhist country in the world. You are, in the whole world, you are the most free Buddhist country of Tibetan Buddhism in the whole world. And I want to thank Mongolian people, because Mongolian people, they kept Buddhism very very nice, and then in my country, America, about forty years ago, many Mongolian people came to help us, and many Mongolian people came, Kalmyk-Mongolian people, came to my country, and they helped to teach us. And so, I myself, I learned all of my Buddhism. What Buddhism I learned? I learned from great Mongolian lamas. And in my life, I want to tell you, and this is true story, when I was in college, I didn't have any money at all. And also, I told you before, at that time, when I was young, I was about twenty years old, my father died, my mother died, and my brother died, altogether. And at that time, I didn't know why they died, because in our country we don't have good explanation. I say, my mother was a nice person, my mother was a good person, but my mother died, very bad, very bad illness, cancer, and I didn't know why, I want to know why. [Говорящий 2] And at that time, I didn't know why they died. I didn't know why my mother died. And I didn't know why my mother died, and I didn't know why my father died. And then, I went to see doctors. And they told me why they died. [Говорящий 1] And in our country, nobody can tell me, I went to the people where I grew up, I went to the school, I went to my church, no one can explain to me why, why these nice people, why these good people have to die. And in this room also, we have many young people, we have many people middle-aged, and we have many older people. But one thing, all of us are same. All of us have to die, American people have to die, English people have to die, Mongolian people have to die, why? And also get old, you know, first the ear you cannot hear, then the eye you cannot see very well, and then the body gets older and older, why? So I asked my teachers in America, when I was young, I said, why my parents die? Why do people get old? Why is some people happy, some people sad, why? Then I tell you a story, I have one aunt, she's my mother's sister, then she got cancer here in the breast, she got some cancer, and then she start to die, then my mother said, you go and you pray, and you say, please don't die. So I went and I prayed, but still she died. So my mother has two sisters, and I asked my mother, why your one sister, my aunt, why did she die, cancer, but the other aunt didn't get cancer? And my mother said, she got cancer, maybe she's smoking. [Говорящий 2] So I asked my mother, why does she like to smoke? [Говорящий 1] And she said, I think she had one friend who taught her to smoke, when she was young. [Говорящий 2] So remember, I asked her why she died, and she said, because she got cancer. [Говорящий 1] Then I said, why she got cancer? [Говорящий 2] And she said, because she smoked. Then I said, why does she smoke? [Говорящий 1] I'm just small boy. You know small children ask questions. [Говорящий 2] And she said, because her friend is smoking. Then I said, why did she meet that friend? Then my mother got angry. [Говорящий 1] You stop asking questions. You know, because children like to ask questions. But if you're going to be a Buddhist, in Mongolian, everybody is a Buddhist person. Then a Buddhist person has to ask why. We say, Buddhist people have to be very smart. You have to say why one person get cancer, and other person doesn't get cancer. Buddhist person has to say why people get old. Why people die. This is real question of Buddhism. And in this five nights, I want to answer this question. So, it doesn't matter you're Buddhist or you're not Buddhist. Anyway, you have to get old. You have to die. Everybody has to ask why. And Diamond Cutter book explains why. If you understand this book, then everything is clear. And if you understand this book, you do not have to get old, and you do not have to die like that. And this is real meaning of Buddhism. And in your country for almost one thousand years, you had many, many great lamas. [Говорящий 2] And they understand these things. [Говорящий 1] They understand why some people get cancer. They understand why people get old. Understand why people die. And in your country, almost one thousand years, these great lamas understand these things. So, this is what we are going to talk about for five nights. It doesn't matter you're Buddhist or you're not a Buddhist. Still, this is your country's greatest book. And it can teach you how not to have bad thing happen to you. So, every Mongolian person should be interested to learn Diamond Cutter. Ok, first of all, I want to show you the name of the Diamond Cutter again. I'm going to show you the Tibetan name of the Diamond Cutter. And I want everyone to learn the Tibetan name. And tonight I start to explain a little bit. And then every day I explain more and more. So first I will write the name for you. Now I'd like you to say the name with me. So please repeat the name. And I ask the people here, when I say the name, then you have to say the name. And this will put a good karma in your mind. So please say, Dorje. Chupa. Dorje. Chupa. Dorje. Chupa. Good. Then I want to check. You have to tell me. What is the meaning of Do? Do means stone. What does Je mean? [Говорящий 2] Han. [Говорящий 1] Yeah, it means king. Then Dorje means what? Yeah, king of stone means diamond. And what is the meaning in Sanskrit? Sanskrit. And what is the meaning in Mongol? Bajr. Yeah, this is why so many people name Bajr. Because diamond is very important. Okay, what does Chupa mean? Cutting. Cutting. So Dorje Chupa means diamond cutter. And I want to talk about diamond. Diamond. Meaning of diamond. I'm going to explain to you meaning of diamond. Diamond is something very clear. Diamond is something that you cannot see. And meaning of diamond is truth. And meaning of that truth is special truth for understanding how everything is happening. [Говорящий 2] If you understand meaning of diamond, you can understand why people get cancer. [Говорящий 1] If you understand meaning of diamond, you can understand why people get old. If you understand meaning of diamond, you can understand meaning why people die. Also, if you want to understand how to make success in your life, like business success, if you understand diamond, you can do it. So now I just want to talk about meaning of diamond a little bit. [Говорящий 2] And people here, they already heard this. [Говорящий 1] So I ask you, what is this thing? Pen. Okay, let's say this is a pen. Is this a pen? Yes? No? Yeah, it's a pen. Okay, it's a pen to you. [Говорящий 2] Now, if a horse comes in here, if a horse comes here, you have to move, horse is coming. [Говорящий 1] If it comes here, then does he see pen? Okay, they see something, hit them. Okay? People see pen. But horse sees stick. So now I ask you again, who is right? Which one? Both are right. Now I ask you a question. By itself, what is it? Is it pen or is it stick? [Говорящий 2] Just a stick. [Говорящий 1] Now we have to ask question, why does human see pen? Why does a horse see stick? Why? [Говорящий 2] We call karma. [Говорящий 1] So I want to write the word karma. What's the word? Karma. Lé. Lé. Then I'd like you to say lé. Lé. Lé. Lé means karma. Now you know three ways to make karma, you tell me. First way to make karma. B, with the body. So, bad karma, hitting somebody. Good karma, thank somebody. And these are two kinds of karma. And what is the second kind of karma? Talking, okay? Now I'm going to show you good karma and bad karma. If she needs a pen, this lady, and I give her this pen... This is good karma. Now I show you bad karma. She wants to take my pen. [Говорящий 2] Say nope, nope. [Говорящий 1] This is bad karma. When you make bad karma, it stays in your mind. [Говорящий 2] When you make good karma, it stays in your mind. [Говорящий 1] Mind is like tape recorder. Mind is like camera. So, I ask you, when a horse looks at this, what is in his mind? [Говорящий 2] Yeah, bad karma, because he hit somebody. [Говорящий 1] So he sees a bad thing. And when a person sees this thing, what do they have in their mind? [Говорящий 2] Good karma. [Говорящий 1] This is good karma. Good karma. So if you want good things to happen to you, if you want your whole life to be happy, if you want everything you need to happen for you, you have to do good things for other people. Because your mind is making everything. Now everybody can use this. You can use in your business. [Говорящий 2] You can use in your home. [Говорящий 1] You can use all the time. [Говорящий 2] And then you will be happy all the time. [Говорящий 1] And this is an important teaching of Diamond Cutter. OK, so tonight I would like to thank everyone for coming. I'd like you to come back on the next four days. And then we are planning to give you a Diamond Cutter book. [Говорящий 2] And I'd like you to come for that. [Говорящий 1] So thank you for coming very much. Thank you very much.
