[Speaker 2] Cheers. [Speaker 1] All right, it's almost that time. I knew if I said something I would get spotlighted. [Speaker 2] Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night. Somebody said no sound. Is it true? [Speaker 1] It's not true. [Speaker 2] Okay, thankfully. [Speaker 1] All right, well, we have an exciting class today for you with Stanley, Mr. Stanley Chen, who's covering Abhidharma Samuccaya. He said he has something fun in mind for us. I don't know what that's going to be, but if you like magic and juggling, this might be the place. See what's going to happen. But I'm assuming that fun includes some Abhidharma, right, Stanley? Oh, sorry, you were muted for a few seconds. Well, what did you say? I revealed the true inner meaning of Abhidharma. Whoa, okay, class finished. Yeah, sorry, you'll figure it out. Okay, if anyone can do it. Nagarjuna is an Abhidharma master, I believe. That sounds believable. I could never disagree with such a statement. Yeah, the fun has some Abhidharma element of it, for sure. Whenever you're ready, we can take off. [Speaker 2] Do you have... [Speaker 1] Okay, so I'm going to explain. Well, welcome to the XT team, Abhidharma Samuccaya. So I have a surprise for both Nick and Ben also. I didn't tell them what I'm going to do. I hope they stay because I'm going to need help. So again, welcome. I think this time is mainly for our European friends. I know some strange Asian people will stay late night for these classes. Welcome to... Cannot hear any sound. Okay. We hear you. [Speaker 2] Yeah, somebody's having trouble, but the rest of us can hear okay. [Speaker 1] Well, Katie is the Chinese translator. We better help her. You might need to check your Zoom settings or your computer's audio settings. Okay, yeah. Oh, you want to check your Hong Kong setting? Hong Kong. Where are you, Stanley? Phoenix. I'm getting ready to do the pickup job today, later today when the big bosses come back. Great. Beautiful. It's a beautiful day outside the window, it looks like. Yeah. It's going to get hot though. Yeah, 135 degrees. I almost died yesterday. It looks lovely. Yeah, it looks lovely. Let's see. Katie, are you good? Katie? Okay, we can understand you. Yeah. No Chinese. [Speaker 2] Today is my birthday. My birthday. [Speaker 1] Happy birthday. Okay, happy birthday. [Speaker 2] Happy birthday. [Speaker 1] My camera. Can you guys still see me? I don't know. [Speaker 2] Yeah, pixelated us. [Speaker 1] Let me do something while she's fixing the sound. Well, I'm still reeling from your last class, Stanley. Be quiet. I just, it meant a lot to me, the new count to five when I'm angry system. Oh, yeah. I remember that. That's it. They're like form feeling. Yeah. Am I form? We are going to continue. I like it. Yeah. We're going to attack it from a different angle. Let me change the camera. Come on. No. Okay. All right. The sound okay or not? Yeah, the sound is immaculate. Okay. Okay, so I'm going to explain the plan a little bit. We were going through. Got it. No, I got it. Okay. Okay. Ben's the bouncer. Yeah. So we were using the number one student of some commentary on this book. Gatha J's commentary on Abhidhamma Samuccaya. So it's difficult, right? It's hard to crack. And we keep waiting to see if it ever gets easy. And I thought if we try something equally difficult, it will be helpful when we come back to Geshe Michael. So there's a very, very famous commentary from ancient time of China, the Tang dynasty, the prime time of China. And it was written by also the number one student, but by Master Xuanzang. So his name is Kui Ji. His story is very interesting to tell you a short part of his story. So you know the character of him when Xuanzang brought him when he was a teenager, Xuanzang brought him to his college, his translation college. And he's like, I can't come. I can, but I just promised me three things. And Xuanzang said, OK, what's that? Let me bring three cargoes of things with me. Then I'll come. And Xuanzang said, OK, what are they? I want all my books with me, all my scriptures. Xuanzang said, OK, that's OK. And then I want all my alcohols. He's like, OK. What's the third one? And then he said, all my ladies are also coming with me. So he's from a royal family. So Xuanzang, of course, said yes at the beginning, right? Before he painted. Yeah, come on, come to my home. So he went and then and later he let go of the later two cargoes, of course, and kept the first one. But then people call him Sanche Fashi, one of the three cargoes. That's his nickname. Awesome. You can tell he has some characteristics. Yeah, but it's very memorable. Yeah, very, very. And then I like this part about him. So he really made the My Only School famous in China. Xuanzang translated all the books, but he's the one who really spread to all over the country. So he has an important commentary on Abhidhamma Samuccaya, which is the My Only version of Abhidhamma. And then, oh, Mr. Three Shipments. OK, so we will use some part of his commentary. So, of course, it's written in Chinese. It's never translated into English. But I thought I can go through the it's very short. The Chinese are short and I can orally translate the literal meanings and then we can talk about it together because some of them are really obscure and I need some debaters help. Yeah. So that's the plan today. Are you guys ready? Yes. For the three cargos? [Speaker 2] Absolutely. OK. [Speaker 1] No, no, let's just talk about it for now. I have enough cargo in my life. I'll take more books. Yeah, we don't need more storage space. No, no more ladies. Just one lady for me. Yeah, OK. Nick can use two. I got, yeah, that's it over here. Nick's got twice the ladies I can handle. Yeah, OK. I'm going to have my coffee and go to and look at it. It's killing him. Yeah, Ben, I agree. One is good. OK, let's go. Let's see. Let me adjust it a little bit. I made the word really large. So I hope you guys can see. I can read it just fine. Yeah, so I can marvel at the beauty of the artistry of the characters. She's doing with zero ladies and she's also fine. Yeah, fair enough. OK, so the green part is the original type set of the book, and I can't really copy the whole format. I just want to show you guys. It's very clear. It's very clear, which is very helpful. As we learned that West Chinese, there's no clear, you know, paragraphs. This Chinese version does have, but it's not from him originally. Someone later, like Michael, did this. So it's very helpful. OK, we'll read some Chinese together. Not Chinese, but middle Chinese, middle and middle area. I think I'll start with Nick. [Speaker 2] OK. [Speaker 1] OK, this one. [Speaker 2] Egg, foo, young. OK, good. [Speaker 1] I'll call out some Chinese friends. Chia. Let's do that in Chinese. Chia, Chia, Chia. Doesn't that mean like auntie? [Speaker 2] OK, good, good, good. [Speaker 1] OK, great. I'm afraid she's going to finish everything. OK. So here it says, it's interesting. First of all, this commentary by Kui Ji, Mr. Three Cargos, it's actually based on a different commentary. on the Abhidhamma Samutraya. It's called Wei Jue Shi, that's his Chinese name. I don't know if you guys know, I checked on him, his Sanskrit name is Buddha Sinha. Do you guys know about him? No. Okay, so there's some great rumor about it. It's said that he either is the third brother of the Asanga family, or he's the student of Master Asanga. Wait, are we talking about the gentleman who's the student of Xuanzang? No, no, this Buddha Sinha. Buddha Sinha, yeah, who, okay. There's a rumor that there's a third brother in the family. I remember I saw it somewhere, I don't know if you guys see it before, but it seems there's a big rumor, or he's the student. Did you ever mention that to Geshe Michael? Nope, I just found it recently. So this commentary is based on his commentary on Asanga's Samutraya, so it's pretty cool. First, we'll talk about Xian Bian San Ke Suo You, we'll talk about the three categories, the famous three categories, five years, and 18 categories, and 12? [Speaker 2] Stories of senses. [Speaker 1] Stories of senses, and we still don't know why the 18 comes before 12, because it's the same here. If it's just numbers ordered, then it should be 5, 12, and 18, so we don't know. Xia Yi Jiu Men Ben Shi Bie Jie, then first we generally talk about these three, and then we will follow the nine points. I don't know if you guys remember, at the DONG, at the summary verses? Verse summary, yeah. Verse summary, talked about nine points of this. There are nine angles we will attack the 35 dharmas, like the number, like why five heaps, not six, and then the reason, like these things, there are nine aspects, basically. So he will follow that, too. It's actually the same with Gao Zijie. Okay, Stanley? Yep. So men ben, is that points? Men, you mean this? [Speaker 2] Yeah. [Speaker 1] Men means doors. All right. But it means, yeah, that nine points. So door, look, it looks like some little doors. Yeah, it does. That's like characters, it's images. [Speaker 2] So the doors means points here? [Speaker 1] Yeah. [Speaker 2] Okay, that's my question. [Speaker 1] Yeah, doors, it's a very cool word in China, because there are many ways to use it. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah, it's fun now. Then we have half Chinese here. Okay. Word, do you want to try this? I don't know. You want to try? Okay. Oh my god, it's scary. [Speaker 2] It's a question. So wen? [Speaker 1] Yeah, wen, the question. [Speaker 2] Yeah. That's got to be heaps, but I don't know how to say it. [Speaker 1] Yeah, it's heaps. Yun. [Speaker 2] Okay, yun. Jue. [Speaker 1] Wow, oh my god. [Speaker 2] Chu. [Speaker 1] Yes. [Speaker 2] I forget that next one. [Speaker 1] Ge you. [Speaker 2] Oh yeah, are enumerated as? Yeah, something. Ge you. Um. [Speaker 1] By the way, this is traditional Chinese, so it's more difficult than the usual ones. [Speaker 2] Yeah, I know. I know some of it. I don't know this. [Speaker 1] I'll help you with this too. Ji zong. Ji means how many. [Speaker 2] Yeah, why many of the heaps? [Speaker 1] Yeah, so this is a simple question. [Speaker 2] Categories and doors of sense. [Speaker 1] Yeah, heaps. Yun. Jie, the categories. Chu, doors of senses. Chu literally means a place in China. Like, uh, and then so it's that they will, it will, it will be explained later why they translate that way, but it's doors of senses. And then ge means individually. So each of each of them, how many basically? That's the question. Okay, I'm going to torture another person then. Stanley, I'm going to torture you first. [Speaker 2] Why? [Speaker 1] Wait, I'm the MC today. Perfect person to torture. [Speaker 2] So doesn't Jie also mean, uh, like a place or realm or something? [Speaker 1] Yeah, Jie can also mean realm. So when, when we translate the realm of ease, MJ, we use this one, the realm. The three realms also. [Speaker 2] Yeah, Sanjie. Cause the, the, um, the calm in West Chinese also can mean realm. So it's just interesting. [Speaker 1] Oh, I see. I see. Yeah. And actually a famous, uh, academic place in Dunhuang. It's called Sanjie Temple. Oh, that's all the books. Actually, it's said that all the Dunhuang books could be from that place and they bury them in the cave. So it's like the, the outdoor library and the cave is the indoor library. Yeah. Okay. Let's go. These are easy by the way. So we can go through it quickly. Uh, let's see. [Speaker 2] Yeah, I see door shows up two times and then. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Yeah. Nine doors. Yeah. So, well, let me have someone to read first. Uh, Wang Jing, pure gold. [Speaker 2] Okay. [Speaker 1] So next we'll follow them. Joe done the, the, the, basically the nine points. Nine. Well, we use nine paragraphs to explain the nine doors, which is nine points of the 35. The E what's the E? First. First. I can read that character. Yeah, it's one. Instead of, uh, vertical, you just do horizontal in Chinese. Nick is so smart. Let me add something. See if you know, what's this word? Two vertical lines. That's very cute. Okay. So it means, um, we will explain the, how many of the nine. So the first one of the nine is how many. And then we'll use a same Q and a version Q and a, uh, style. So now it's the general question. What's the general question. How many of each of the three, how many heaps, how many categories, how many doors of census. And it leads out on all 35 here. Yes. [Speaker 2] Sorry. Excuse me. Um, doesn't the, yeah, at the end, I mean, also. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Oh, so yeah. In, in ancient Chinese, it's like a way to confirm. It is. It's like, it is something. [Speaker 2] Oh, cool. Yeah. Thank you. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Like who's the best. Chinese speakers in the mix, not translator who are here today. War. Yeah. You can say war. Yeah, I am. Yeah. It is me. Definitely me. Yeah. Very humble. Now there are no other Chinese today. That's why. Oh, you're the only one. In the Chinese mix, not translated. That's all I see. I get it. Okay. Thank you. Okay. This is very nice. Stanley. We all like it. Let's see who else can read, uh, don't sing. Don't sing. [Speaker 2] Yeah. [Speaker 1] So basically heaps have five. And then categories has 18. Doors of senses has trial. Sure. I have a question for Ben to test your Chinese knowledge. What does this word look like? Um, I don't think I'm going to have a super helpful answer. Uh, yeah, it looks like a, uh, a duck. [Speaker 2] Oh, it's somebody playing hockey. Obviously. [Speaker 1] Sorry. God, I feel so stupid now. [Speaker 2] It's supposed to be someone walking. [Speaker 1] I should have seen that. [Speaker 2] Cause it's body. [Speaker 1] Yeah. It's body. It's Shen. Yeah. It's supposed to look like someone is walking or someone's. But why would they use a duck's body to indicate that? [Speaker 2] I don't know. [Speaker 1] That's walk. Yeah. You're right. Yeah. That's true. They are. It's the first time I ever heard someone tell me that it looks like a bag. That's for me. It's like, it's like looking at clouds. It doesn't feel much different. Okay. Okay. So, um, we don't have to go through it, but there are five heaps. There are 18 categories and there are 12 doors of senses. But the next paragraph is interesting. So I want to go through that. Um, it will start to have some real juicy stuff here. Let's see who else can do. [Speaker 2] Uh, 以显次第,类外生门,异类叠固。 [Speaker 1] Yeah, cool. By the way, it's also difficult for most of Chinese readers because it's ancient Chinese and we don't use them much and it's traditional characters also. So it will be somehow difficult for us too. So we can share the suffering together. So here, now it's Mr. Three Cargo's commentary. And he says, When we read through the question and answer, there are two words right before the line, question, this, answer, that. These two words, he said, it's added by 是是 means a commentator, one who writes the commentary. So it means Buddha Sinha add these two words into it before the two lines. And 至于本论 means the rest of them is the original commentary, which is Asanga. And now this is funny. This is interesting, very interesting. 借曰因果以便次第,根经为先能生始故。 So when we talk about the 18 categories, there is a special order here. I want to show you guys. Yeah, so you see, yes, it's about cause and effect. 眼界、色界、眼识界。 The first set is the categories of eyes, the category of form, and the category of eye consciousness. So it's all like this. The next three sets will be the same, right? Ear, sound, and how do you say this? Ear consciousness, auditory consciousness. Auditory, yeah, auditory consciousness. So it's six sets of three, right? And here it says there's a special reason to do it this way because it follows the order of cause and effect. Why is that? So why do we put eye, for example, eyes first, and then form, like color and shape? Eyes, cup, and eye consciousness that seeds the cup. Why do we follow these three orders instead of, I don't know, consciousness first and then eyes? [Speaker 2] Because if the eye didn't see the cup, then the cup couldn't be registered by the mind. [Speaker 1] Yeah, yeah. So 根静为先立 means, of course, you should have an eye first. And then with eyes, you can see the color, the object. 静 means object here, the object. And then your eye consciousness can come out of it. 时,生时 means birth of consciousness. Birth is this word. So for the birthday girl, you can learn this word. 生日, it means your birth date. 生日快乐 means happy birthday. Yeah. So Stanley, would you mind pasting some of this in the chat as you go? And I can also look along in a translation app a little bit as you go too. I can ask the Pure Go team. They have my text. They can do it. That would be wonderful. That would be very helpful. So the Pure Go team can help. When we get to the part where we talk about it, we can paste the text in the chat for everyone. Thank you for your indulgence. Okay, I think they will do. Let's wait and see. No problem. Okay. So you see, that's very cool. So it has a special order of the 18 categories. It's always eyes first and then the object. Well, the sense power first, like eyes or ears or nose, and then the objects. And that's the way it's listed in the Samuchaya? Yes. So it's commenting on the Samuchaya. So it's just telling us there's an order, there's a reason about everything. Okay. Yeah. Also, talk about doors of senses. Chu. Chu here means a place, a place where things grow. And that means the doors of senses. Chu. It also has an order. This word means steps. It's translated into Tao. Tao is the Tao in Tao Te Ching. [Speaker 2] Path or lump? [Speaker 1] Yeah, or lump. If I add this here, Tao. This word basically. And then, so if we don't have the Tao, it's just the rim. So it means there are steps. Also, Xian means manifested or presented or illuminated. So I'm going to ask you guys and see if you guys can guess. So in the doors of senses, it's always like this. There's an order too. It's always eyes first, the doors of eyes. Let's just call it door for now. The door of eyes and the door of form. The door of ear and the door of sound. And we know when we say the door of eye, it means the eyes and its consciousness. Right? Same with the ear. The door of ear is the ear and audible. [Speaker 2] So auditory consciousness. [Speaker 1] Auditory, auditory, auditory consciousness. [Speaker 2] Okay. [Speaker 1] Only a 12 instead of 18, because they combine the first two into one here. So the question is, why do they say always eyes first before the color, ear first before the sound? It's a different reason here. It's not the cause and effect anymore. Can you guess? [Speaker 2] Is it subtly or something? [Speaker 1] Nope. [Speaker 2] One we most rely on to the one we least rely on? [Speaker 1] Yeah, it's a good guess, but it's not. [Speaker 2] I like the guess. Is it written here, Stanley? It is. [Speaker 1] It is written here. Well, there will be no fun if you read it. [Speaker 2] From inner to outer. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Okay. Here. There's two words. From inner to outer. So it's inside your body, basically. Eyes and eye consciousness is inside of you. And then the outside category is the form. So it goes along with the same with all the other parts. Cool? Cool. So does the kosher list these in a different order when the kosher does the 18? I didn't check. It would be funny to compare. Yeah, it would be fun to compare. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But I think, of course, they will tell you if they list it in a different way, they will tell you there's a different reason for that. I'll be done. [Speaker 2] Yeah. Yeah. [Speaker 1] Yeah, but I do like this. Like, one is about inner and outer. One is about how things arise. [Speaker 2] You know, yeah. [Speaker 1] Right. Yeah. Okay. Let's see. This is general stuff. Okay. I'll just, well, let's have someone read this whole part. This comes to a very sexy part that I really want to talk to you guys about. It's why there are five heaps. It echoes back to our previous discussion in the last class where it's still chasing the man's mind. So that's part, that part here. It's very, very cool. Very cool. Why Gaudama taught five heaps? What's his motivation behind and how is that going to help us? And then Master Kui Ji, the Mr. Three Cargoes here, has a very, I think, very unique definition and explanation. Okay. Let's see who else can read. Some new friends, let's see. Um. [Speaker 2] Okay. So now question. Have. Why? Um. Okay. [Speaker 1] Um. Hm. Um. Yeah. Um. I know. Um. Yeah. Um. Yeah. Um. Yeah. Um. Yeah. Um. Yeah. Um. Um. Yeah. So it's the second door of the nine, as you remember, that we are going to talk about the three dharmas in five, in nine different ways. Now we finished the number. Now we talk about he yin, he yin means why. Why there are wu, why there are five heaps, ong, wei means only. Okay, word, it's a famous Chinese word here for us, why, wei, only. [Speaker 2] Because it's in mind only school? [Speaker 1] Yeah, wei shi means mind only, the same word. [Speaker 2] Yeah. [Speaker 1] Yeah, I can show you. If I add this shi here. [Speaker 2] Yeah, consciousness. [Speaker 1] Yeah, consciousness. So wei shi means mind only in Chinese. Okay. [Speaker 2] Wait, Stanley, I have a question. Huh? [Speaker 1] We have the Sanskrit of this text? We do we have Sanskrit? Oh, you well, this, this one is a Chinese commentary. Are you talking about a Sambhuchaya? [Speaker 2] No. Did Buddha Sinha originally write this in Sanskrit? [Speaker 1] Well, we don't have him separately. We have Kui Ji on Buddha Sinha. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Cool. [Speaker 2] I'm just wondering about the root text. Thank you. [Speaker 1] Yeah. No, feel free to do to interrupt anytime. So he yin means why. So basically, we're talking about, we'll talk about three things here. Fei li yun, fei li jie, fei li chu, the deny and establish fei and li of hips. So how do we establish hip? And how do we deny the wrong ideas of hips? So that's, that's what we are going to talk about. So it's, you can, I think you can feel it. It's come, some debates come in, some nice things are coming. So Kui Ji also, it's a, it's a logic master. He's a, well, let's call it clear thinking master. So he liked to, it was very similar to Gyalsat Jey somehow. He enjoyed debate style. I don't know why, but it has a interesting, how do you call it? The things happen magically. There's a word, synchronicity. Wow. [Speaker 2] Yeah. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Yeah. So, okay. So how do we establish five hips and how do we deny the wrong ideas? Why not six? Why not seven? Why not four? That's what we are going to talk about. And da means the answer, the first answer we have. Let's see. Okay. The first answer we have is, it is to wei xian wu zong shi gu. It is to illuminate the five parts of you. Not parts. No, kinds of notions about the self or something, I guess. It's, it's amazing. It's five, uh, like characteristics by natures. Shi, it's a, it's a very general word. It could mean, it could mean, literally it means five things about me. Yeah. Okay. Which is what I just said. Okay. Sorry. I didn't hear. Okay. So already it's cool. Cause now when we learn that, when we talk about the five hips, it's about understanding me, establishing truth about me, or denying, fei means denying, or, you know, canceling wrong understandings about me. So it's already against me. The, the, the, the, that's the first line here. And then there are five. So there are five aspects about me that, that, that, that the commentator want to illuminate for us. Okay. So I'm just going through, I'm just going to go through the words quickly here, and then we can dive into it. Cause it's very, it's very cool here, but let's talk about the words first. The wo shi, this two word means things about me. Okay. Wo here shi means aspects about me. So what kind of things about me? The first one is called shen ju, body and possessions about me. Okay. Body and possession about me. Oh, sorry. I changed the word. Okay. So that's the first hip it's to talk about my body and my possession. What does it mean? We don't know yet as we'll talk about it later. So young, the second one, what's the second hip experience? This is the experience of feelings. Yeah. Feelings. So young means so means feeling young means, uh, conceal, conceal, consumption of things. How you use your car for how you consume your car young. Yeah. It means so it's so young. It's actually one word. [Speaker 2] Mm hmm. [Speaker 1] It's basically means how you feel things, how you, when you use things, how you feel them, when you taste the coffee by the way, the hotel coffee here is pretty normal. I don't have great feeling about it, but when you taste a coffee, how do you feel about it? Yeah. That's the second one. Remember, it's still about me. So it's about each of us, me, uh, how I feel things when we experienced them. Number three, this is interesting. So what's the third hip? Discrimination, but this says talking or something. So, yeah. How would you say what, what's, if I ask you to guess, if I ask you guys to guess, uh, like the hip of form, it's easy, right? It's about things. It's my, about my body and my possessions. We don't know what it is yet, but it's understandable. Uh, second, it's about my feelings or experiences that we understand. How would you say what will be the third hip of discrimination about something about me calling this or that it's like saying, saying things are good or bad. Yeah. Yeah. It literally here. We don't know what the, what's the deeper meaning yet, but yeah. And sure means talking about things, how I talk about things. [Speaker 2] Yeah. [Speaker 1] All right. [Speaker 2] I've seen it defined in West Chinese that way too. Like, okay. Yeah. [Speaker 1] Like saying things like in your mind, like this is bad. This is good. This is neutral. Yeah. Well, we, we don't know if it's in your mind or outside yet. We don't know yet. Okay. It's literally, it's not like how I talk about things. Okay. So, but there are more later, uh, here. So I'll do it. You can't find a favor. So I'll do this two word. It's very important in, in Abhidharma because it basically means how you make karma, how you do things means create, so all means do, but together, basically your behavior, your actions. Yichie fa, all things. Yichie means everything. Fa means good things. Feifa means bad things, basically. Doesn't it mean not things? But here particularly, uh, it means good and bad. Oh, it's contextual. Yeah. It also could mean thing or non-things. Teachings or non-teachings. [Speaker 2] Yes. [Speaker 1] Oh, this word, this is a good word to know if you are interested. Oh, it's teaching or non-teaching is probably right. Would be like a translation of Dharma or a Dharma, which typically would mean like good or bad, almost like Punya or a Punya what I should do or what I shouldn't do. Right. [Speaker 2] Or like truth or not truth. Like, is it a good, good witness or tends to have a moral connotation that a lot of the time. [Speaker 1] Yeah, exactly. And this also could mean fang fa, which means, Nick knows this Chinese word. Yeah. Method. Yeah. How, how you, you know, the way to do things. [Speaker 2] Which Dharma means too, right? [Speaker 1] Yeah. So here, but it means how I, wo shi, right? The, the things about me, how I create, create or do all the good things. So it's the fourth hip. So you see when we translate it into English, it's always about all the other things, right? The other factors. Right. I think this is when we were together in that last class, he talked about it as all the other movements of mind, very much zeroing in on it, right. As like kind of a core meaning in the old sense of the word karma, right. Which is what we do. Oh, we do. And then to, to have a, an element of, of virtue or non-virtue Dharma or a Dharma around action. What I find interesting is when we think about doing things just in normal world, we think about, you know, body and mouth. [Speaker 2] Yeah. [Speaker 1] You see if it's just body and mouth or the, or the core of doing things is body and mouth, it should be in the first hip. Cause first hip is your body and your eyes and everything is there. But yeah, it gave me a deeper message. When you think about us doing things, let's go to the core, which is your mind of your mind, because that's the first action before you talk, before you move your body. So it's, I think it's very reasonable or the right to say, to call it hip, you know, because it's a lot of function here, a lot of movement of your mind. [Speaker 2] And, and Duce can kind of literally mean doing things like the J. Um, also Stanley, the, what is it? Shen Ju? What is it? Your body and your possessions? How do you say it? [Speaker 1] Shen Ju. Yeah. Body and possession. Ju literally means possession. We don't know what it is. Okay. Cause I was thinking maybe it's body parts. Yeah, could be, could be that there's some more discussion later. If we can reach it. I don't know if I stop actually, I should tell you guys right now. Cause I, I picked ahead. It's very interesting. Cause I was very curious about why do you put this word here? Ju means possession. We are, we are talking about the first hip. So here, Ju means, let me see. Uh, let me go ahead. Okay. Here. Okay. Um, when we say body, we mean the base of me, the base of me. That's why we call it body. Like where I rely on. Like me, it's based on my body or else there will be no me. So we call it body. But Ju means my possession. And here it actually means the outside physicalities, the out outside things, the outside physical things. It means what my eyes see, what my ear here and what my nose smell. So these two words actually, it's a very clear division of inside material things, physical things, inside physical things and outside physical things. Yeah. And that covers all the physical things in the world. So you see it's, it's cool here. So the first hip is not just my body's in this definition. The first hip of form also include the coffee cup I see, because it's a possession of me because I see it and it becomes mine and it cause all the problem. Yes. We know when we talk about mine, it's my cup. Okay. Anyway. So, uh, just in case we didn't, we don't have time to go there. Bi suo yi zhi wo zi ti shi. The last hip. Why do we talk about the last hip? What's the last hip of the five? Consciousness. Consciousness. All the six kinds of consciousness are here, right? The eye consciousness and to the mental consciousness. So I'll give you a clue and then you guys can try to guess why we talk about the last one. Yi zhi here. It's a very important word. Uh, yi means I hand on it. I, I, like I, when I stand, I can. On a basis, a foundation, like a support, a support. It's a verb. It means I, I hold on something. It's written. Yeah. Yeah. So each together as a word means, uh, each together as a word. It means, um, what I relied on basically rely on. Yeah. And then zi ti here means, zi means moving. Yeah. Myself meet myself. Ti means the nature. Essence. So self essence. Can you guys try to guess why we talk about the fifth consciousness now? Well, because we're in the mind only school and this is the basis upon which the other four. Uh, rest or it's the, like the, yeah, it's like the substance that the others. What's this? This word. [Speaker 2] Me, me. Hi, that's me. [Speaker 1] Yeah. So it's not about the red, the first four. [Speaker 2] Where the first book rely on is about which your, your concept of me rests upon mostly. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Oh, like labeled as. Yeah. So the last one is to talk about, so we're talking about five things about me. The last one is me. Me's base. Me's essence based. [Speaker 2] Basis. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Me. Yeah. Stanley, what's the character before school? So be, oh, this one means that, that like, because of that or due to that. Oh, that thing. That is that like in Nagarjuna. This happened at this. With what's that? How do you say in English? The dependence, the meaning of dependence. This, and that happened. How do you say? I forget. Oh, this. If you have this, if this, then that. Yeah. [Speaker 2] Okay. [Speaker 1] If you, if you do this, that happened. If you have this, you have that. So this Chinese would be, it always go to get with. So it means this. [Speaker 2] Yeah. [Speaker 1] So it. Oh, this, and this. Arise and that arises. Yeah. Something like that. [Speaker 2] Is this, is this the comparative B? [Speaker 1] Nope. That's not the B. Thank you. That's a Chinese joke. If you say the same word, it could mean different nine different meanings. B also mean the pan. B can also mean bat. B can also mean compare. [Speaker 2] You have the same joke in America about Chinese. [Speaker 1] No, it's American joke. It's a joke that I learned when I come to America. Yeah. Okay. See what else we got. Oh yeah, we should reach here. It's this part. It's jewel. This part is diamond. Okay. Let's have someone read. [Speaker 2] Cool. [Speaker 1] I'm going to go to the back first. It's a nice summary. So among these five hips, among these five hips, the first four, the first four, it's about mine. M-I-N-E, mine. [Speaker 2] My things. [Speaker 1] Yeah. My body, my feeling, things like that. And the last five, other than the fifth, the fifth, it's about. So this word I want to ask you guys. Xiang, it's a very important word. [Speaker 2] Same quality, essence? [Speaker 1] Yeah, it's Laksana, yes. [Speaker 2] Lakshana. [Speaker 1] Lakshana. Lakshana? Lakshana, yeah. Lakshana. Lakshana. Okay, Lakshana. So in Chinese, they translate it into Xiang. So Xiang can mean many things, but like aspect, it's Xiang. But they are here in characteristics or phenomenon. Yeah. So in English, how do you translate Lakshana? [Speaker 2] Could be quality. [Speaker 1] Could be quality, okay. Depends on the context, yeah. [Speaker 2] Yeah, depends on. [Speaker 1] Okay, so I think here it's quality. It means quality in Chinese. [Speaker 2] It could be signs and marks or something like that too. [Speaker 1] Yeah. In the Diamond Cutter, when we talk about 32, right? Signs and 80, right? 32 marks and 82 signs. I don't know. [Speaker 2] It's just the signs and marks. [Speaker 1] Signs and marks, right, right. 32 signs and 80 marks. The signs there, it's translated into the same word, Xiang. Yeah. So I think there will be a misunderstanding. If you're a Chinese reader, you might think, oh, that here means the sign of me. But actually the same word can mean quality, right? Yeah. So I believe that's the right explanation here. The quality of me. Like what is me, basically. So it is saying that the last hip here. So the first four, remember, it's talking about, it's about Wo Suo. Wo Suo means my things. My M-I-N-E. And the last one is me, basically. What's me? The quality of me. Let me go through this quickly with you guys. And then we can, we still have 15 minutes to discuss. But this is cool. So Sen Ju Zhe Se. What's form? Se is form. The hip of form. Form is body and possession. And now we know that means my body and all my sense organs, it's body. And possession means the outer form, the colors and shape in the world, basically. [Speaker 2] Stanley, does the Ju here mean the possessor of it, though? [Speaker 1] No. Yeah, right. Later it explained, I cheat. So later it explained that it means outside things. Actually, I can show you here. It's Se Yun. [Speaker 2] Oh, yeah. [Speaker 1] Outer objects of... Hip of form. The hip of form means my possession, my material. That's why we call it possession. Yeah. [Speaker 2] Thank you. [Speaker 1] Yeah. So here, you can put your iPhone here, your computer here, possession. [Speaker 2] So it's mine. [Speaker 1] It is mine. Right. Yeah, that's the first hip. The first four hips is mine. [Speaker 2] Yeah. Okay, cool. [Speaker 1] And then it added a nice line here. Why do we call it body and possession? Because me is based on that and it happens. Me is based on my body. Chan means production here. Like when you give a baby, we use this word. So give birth to a baby. Sorry, not give a baby away, but give birth to a baby. You use this word. So here it means from my body or based on my body comes me. It's like mom giving birth to a baby. So that's the first hip. So when we talk about the feeling, it means feeling and experience. Maybe having feelings. It doesn't say here, but you can read this line. It's me. It's I taking. That means taking. So remember, we had a very deep discussion about feeling. You can take the feeling or you can feel the feeling. I remember we talked about some differences. Like there's a feeling of the thing there, out there, and you take it. Like there's a beautiful painting. When you look at it, you feel the feeling of the painting. [Speaker 2] Take it as that feeling. [Speaker 1] Yeah, like it almost hints that the feeling is inside the thing and you just take it. Your function here, your mental function, your hip, your second hip here, it's very good at taking in things. But that means it's already out there. Like the feeling of a coffee. It's in the coffee and you take it. That's like a shun in West Chinese. Like you have some kind of attachment to the way you take it in as self-existent or something. It's definitely have something to do with attachment here. It's pretty strong sign if you're a middleweight person, you see this word. What? Feeling means I take in the feeling. That's why I want to say as, take it as, because that's like... Well, there's two words. Ling means you. Ling. Na. Na means you take in. Ling means... How do you translate? Ling. You... Like somebody, your teacher will say, today somebody, some student should do this work for me. And then you take it. You take the work. That kind of take. [Speaker 2] It's like take it on. [Speaker 1] Take it on. We say like undertake. Oh, undertake. Something like that. Yeah. So this two words means that. But that's the definition of feeling. You see, the feeling has an element of action, of taking. The feeling, feel as a verb here, basically. I think it's cool. And then the third here, which is discrimination. So when it says, 言说者想, 想 means discrimination here. [Speaker 2] Can it just mean to think? [Speaker 1] Yeah, it also speak. Think. I think here it's more speak, but yeah. 言说 means speak. The first two words, 言说者想. This says thinking means speaking. Like the words in your head? Yeah, I think so. I think so. Yeah, I think it means speaking. So here, discrimination means speaking inside your head. We can say that. I think we all agree. Because it's a function. It's supposed to be mental. So it shouldn't be outer physical words. Yeah, right. Thinking is inner languages, inner talking. 我取象固, but here has a more definitive definition. 我取象, 象 means the appearance, but construct of things. [Speaker 2] 嗯, 嗯. [Speaker 1] You take the idea of that thing, basically. Like I give you a concept, like pan. Then when you think, you take in that concept. That's what it means here. And that means the dialogue, inner speaking. Yeah, so I clearly remember when we were in the kosher period of Abhidharma, we had definition of each hip or each major mental function. And the discrimination, the mental function of discriminating things means you take the construct or idea or architecture of things in your mind. Right, right. And we make words, right? It's a very Dharmakirti idea. But we make words by drawing lines around what is the thing and what's not the thing. So to talk about that as discrimination seems like the basis for words. Or as Christina saying in the chat, even labeling, which is very much at the center of what we would call projecting. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, OK. The fourth hip, 造作者形, so 形, that's how the Chinese translate the fourth hip. We don't translate other things. We translate it into. But doesn't that just mean activities or something? Yeah, activities. [Speaker 2] It's the J and do J or the. [Speaker 1] Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. [Speaker 2] Like the kata and sanskara or whatever. [Speaker 1] Yeah, yeah. Also, we use this word for the entering the Bodhisattva's way of life. Yeah. Bodhisattva's behaviors, basically, or activities. And then 造作者形, so behavior means doing things. It's kind of obvious. And then 我作行故, so 我作行故 means I do activities. Yeah, yeah. That's the fourth hip. I do activities. Yeah. That's what it means, literally. But the here means the fourth hip means the things that I do, basically. [Speaker 2] There's no specification that it's mental, which is interesting. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Well, it's coming, I guess. I don't know. I didn't see. But is there any physical thing in the fourth hip? No, I mean, traditionally, it's other mental. Mental functions. But there are neither physical nor mental, right? Right. Right. Yes. [Speaker 2] Well, yeah, that's neither. [Speaker 1] Yeah. You know, I don't know. Yeah. Stanley, how do you say mental function in Chinese? 心所 Is it the same 心? Oh, that's 心. [Speaker 2] Oh, yeah, that's mental. Yeah. So, yeah, it doesn't say mental here at all. [Speaker 1] Nope. But it shouldn't say mental because it involves neither physical nor mental stuff there. Hmm. Well, unless the five is more of the I, right? These four are possessors, or like what the I possesses, right? Like the first one is, right, the I has the body and the second one, the I experiences sensation. The third one, the I, like whatever grasps it, like thoughts or words or experiences. And the fourth, the I does stuff, right? And the fifth probably is the I. Yeah, I'll show you what consciousness means. 我 means I or me. 体 means the essence. Essence? Yeah, right. Yeah, right. Yeah. Why consciousness is the essence of me or who I am, what I am, what I am. Because 能体别固, because it could know things and understand things. [Speaker 2] Wait, but I thought 别 meant otherwise. [Speaker 1] No, 别 can mean like 了别. It means understand or understand the difference of things. Basically perceive things. It can be conscious. Perception can also mean, right, you understand this and not that, right? So this 别 here kind of emphasizes understanding this thing and it's not that thing. But it means perceive here. [Speaker 2] Okay. [Speaker 1] Yeah. [Speaker 2] Interesting. [Speaker 1] So the reason consciousness is me is because it understands things. It sees things, perceives things. Yeah. And I think that fits our own experience, right? When we think about who I am, it's the one that sees the world, basically. The one, the thing, the existence that experiences, well, not experience, but see things, perceive things. The last thing it talks, it explains what 事 means, the matter or the things. It means 体, it means the essence or quality of things. So basically, this we can ignore for now. But basically, this group says all these five hips, number one, it's all related to me or mine. Particularly speaking, the first four is to talk about my things. And the last one is to talk about me thing, me as a thing. Yeah. So yeah, that's today, I think. There are more, but we should leave some time for application or else we'll be, we'll be, I don't know, drowned in the, drunk in the definitions of things. We should talk about. It's a slippery slope in Abhidharma studies. So yeah, yeah, yeah. [Speaker 2] How many pages is it? [Speaker 1] No, it's a lot. You mean the whole book? Yeah, the whole book. It's a lot. It's a huge book. It's almost like what I would do. [Speaker 2] Oh, I was going to suggest you translate it. Forget it. [Speaker 1] It's hard for me to understand. That's why I want to talk to you. It actually helps me because then I somehow explaining Chinese in English, make me understand the Chinese better. [Speaker 2] Yeah, sure. Makes sense. Makes a lot of sense. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Any application thoughts? Any of you want to say something? Oh no, Hector is there. What's he doing there? Oh, wow. Okay. [Speaker 2] Well, I mean, I guess one of the most obvious applications, I think that's relates very much to the kind of studying that we do is just considering how it is that we perceive something and something. I think that helps a lot. [Speaker 1] This is something that Abhidharma school helps a lot, even in the DCI style modern applications. But is it that there's something that just exists outside of us? Or is our consciousness there first? These kind of mind only slash Abhidharma ideas, I think just inquiring about them, help us to analyze the nature of things. And maybe, it's very cerebral, it's very brain oriented, but maybe sometimes having those kinds of analysis in your subconscious, like whether or not something could exist in any particular way or even exist at all independent of your consciousness, perceiving it and labeling it. [Speaker 2] Sometimes that inquiry can help us postpone those negative feelings and reactions to things. It might not be the cure-all when you're just using it as an intellectual process, but I think it can really help sometimes. If you're just thinking about the fact that this particular situation or person can only be that way because my eye consciousness is perceiving this and my ear consciousness is hearing this. [Speaker 1] Maybe the consciousness is there primarily before they even appear as an object. And sometimes that can soften the experience. [Speaker 2] Yeah, I really like that, Nick. It loosens the grasping because it helps you to see how ridiculous it is the way we actually think we're perceiving things. This is real. This is self-existent. This irritating person is horrible. Everybody would know that. And with this in mind, you can loosen your grasping. You can just discriminate without grasping. [Speaker 1] Yeah, I'm going to follow up. I forget to show you guys something really cool that I like, but it's a few characters afterward. But I can quickly. It has a debate there. Like, why do we talk about this five heroes? And then the commentator, which is Master Three Cargo said, well, because most of people in the world attach the heap of consciousness as me because they think I know things. Then that's why they thought that's me. But now, you know, it's not you. It's just your heap know things. Your fifth heap. So that's the first. It's not you understand the knowledge. It's just the fifth heap working in itself. You don't have to take credit. So that's the first line. And then he said, then why do we talk about the first four heaps at all? Then he said, well, most of the people in this world, most of the people of this world, they will misunderstand the first four heaps as my things. But now you understand your body is not your body. It's just a heap of things collected together. And you don't feel things. Also, it's not you who feel things. It's your heap of feeling doing its work. And you don't understand ideas. Also, the discrimination of concepts is not done by you, honey. It's by the heap of discrimination. And then also, you didn't do anything today because it's your fourth heap, the heap of activities, doing all the work, doing all the things that you think you are doing, but it's not done by you. I'm sorry. And that's why we talk about these five heaps, because here it says, we tend to take these five heaps as me, or we tend to take each of these five heaps as some part of me, something like that. And that's why we talk about it. Yeah. [Speaker 2] Very good. Thank you, Abhidharma. [Speaker 1] I missed the three cargoes. [Speaker 2] Especially. [Speaker 1] Yeah. Okay, thank you, guys. I think our time is up. It's too soon, but it's up. Yeah. We can schedule you again soon. Yeah. Thank you, Stanley. Thanks for preparing a fun class and teaching us all a small amount of Chinese. I like that. I like to teach you guys Chinese, some Chinese. It's really fun. [Speaker 2] Yeah, yeah. Oh, we can tell. It's fun. It's really fun. And those characters are tough. So I think plants, plant seeds. [Speaker 1] At least now you know what door looks like. Door. Yeah, we got door. That's the only one I think I'm going to remember. And one. And one, and two, and three. It's all the same. No, I didn't make it that far yet. When it gets four, it gets complicated. One, two, three. Yes. There he is. When I say I'm dark, I don't know about that dark. What's new, Stanley? Where are you? I'm in Phoenix, very hot. All right. Are you waiting for the great moment? That's cool. The army of victory is coming back today. That's nice. Yeah, actually. And those are great news today. Well, I think today you may know exact time and details, but the calendar, official calendar says today Geshe Michael's come back to Arizona. So that's going to be fun. That's going to be cool. The calendar also say he's going to be taking a few days off after the trip. Very well deserved. But then I think next Saturday, if everything goes as planned, I'm thinking he'll be here with us in class, leading the class. So that's very, very cool. Exciting. Let me share with you what's happening besides that. With that is the great news. So just a few days ago, Emily Chang told me that this is a new release now available. The book Catherine is now available in traditional Chinese language. And I need to investigate a little more about how to get it or where is it available and all that thing. But just to celebrate that now it's available. It exists. You could get it if you have more information. And I'll try to help you with that for the next upcoming days. OK, so that's cool. The book is beautiful. I haven't read it all, but I have the chance to hear parts on it. Geshe Michael has an audio book on it. He reading the book, the recording, you know, it's based. It's like the prequel of How Yoga Works. And honestly, it has a lot of Geshe has find a way to implement a lot of his personal life and experiences. They're kind of hidden in the story. So that's very, very cool. OK, and then last week we have an invitation from DSU to watch the opening ceremony where Geshe Michael gave an amazing, beautiful, great, great class. It was mostly what I remember, right? It was about how to use certainty as a managing tool for projects, for teams, for your company in general, your life, really. And he gives great tools on how to develop this certainty or how to use it, how to apply it. OK, so what's happening is like it's going to be, Jose, they're going to play the recording again. And DSU is inviting all the audience to watch it. If you haven't watched the class, I really recommend it. It's really, really great. So it's going to be this upcoming Wednesday, 8 a.m. Arizona time. You can watch the recording. The recording right now is not available like all the time. So this is kind of a very good chance to watch the class. Really, really great class on certainty and decision making for managing daily life, everything, whatever. Tomorrow, Nicholas Shaw, he should be around. And team of Silvia, Alex, and Manuela are going to start their G-Box. It's going to go for two weekends tomorrow, Sunday, 22. If you're in Arizona, we're talking Arizona time. And next week on the 29th. So get ready, 6 a.m. Arizona time. And then as well next week, Alex Rivas and Gibson are also going to have a G-Box. So there's going to be the next weekend, not tomorrow, but next weekend, there's going to be kind of two G-Boxes happening. One on Sunday and this one on Saturday. Saturday and Sunday. But then this one also extends for two weekends. Then, as I was mentioning, Geshe-la is going to be in Arizona for about, what is that, about two weeks, I think. Yeah, pretty much something like that. Then he'll be going to Vietnam to give a talk, DCI Global with John Foley. Increase your potential by a thousand percent. Probably you can still register if you feel adventurous with all the money that you guys make in Diamond Cutter Classics. If you don't know what to do, just buy a ticket to Vietnam. Come for a vacation. Join the 1,000x potential. Why not? Sounds fun, no? All right. I see Ben Kramer is thinking about it. And then Stanley was wondering, really, why Hector is here, right? What is he doing? He never comes. He should come more. Why is he today? Okay. Well, it's because Alex Rivas and Hector Marcel are producing and teaching a wonderful class in Costa Rica. They made the advertisement in Spanish, mostly. You know, Costa Rica happens to be in Latin America. We speak Spanish, mostly. We try. And they're having a lot of fun. So I figure this is part of the, you know, big plan on the Latin America tour that started two years ago. This is the third year. And I would like to invite them to share with us how it's going. So I would like to ask the tech table if you can help me to spotlight. Oh, yeah, they are there. Okay. How's it going? Hi. Hello, hello. You're in a beautiful place. Hector's got always the best places. And the best people. And the best people, yeah. [Speaker 2] Yeah, yeah. [Speaker 1] That's what I hear. I'm a great international team, like Germany, Switzerland, New Yorker, Colombian, Australian, Argentinian, Australian, Mexican, Tushita. [Speaker 2] Beautiful. You know what to eat. [Speaker 1] Yeah. So how are you doing? Like today, I know you have a big day of classes. Also tomorrow. When is the day? I hear you're going to be presenting in a big university as well. Is that tomorrow? That's today? Tuesday. Oh, you stay for even longer. Yeah, we like this place. I hear. Alex and the ACIT Mexico have coordinated four big talks. And because I was in Costa Rica doing a Three Jewels retreat, we thought we would combine forces thanks to his invitation. And he set up this for just incredible opportunities to engage a community. So we're telling them about meditation. What's it like to have a clear mind and putting it all into applicable context? So far, so good. Today, we got 45, 50 people wanting to come. And then it's packed, like sold out. And then the day after. Yeah, like 30 people. Also the maximum of people that the place can hold. So we're doing good. Yeah, I think you're having a great time. OK, so I would like to ask you as well, Hector, the other day you were telling me about big events that are happening this year or upcoming year on Three Jewels. Can you just super quickly mention them? And then later, it would be great if you can come and make more like an extensive presentation on that. Yeah, I'm getting emotional telling you about it. 30 years ago, next year, we turned 30. 30 years, Three Jewels, not just surviving two economic crisis, 9-11, blah, blah, blah. Like 30 years, a dharma center that has grown to having 65,000 visits a year, right? And we're teaching every day, several yoga classes, several meditation classes, workshops, all the ACIs remastered for crazy New Yorkers and international. So we got more and more international. So next year, we're hoping to do 30 pop-ups, visits into different cities around the world and just showing off how cool New York Three Jewels is. And so we'll offer a mini workshop on meditation, how to apply it to your day. And we're going to get all our yoga teachers and meditation teachers to do several pop-ups around the country and around the world. So by the end of 2026, we have celebrated every single month, every single year in one or two other countries with all our friends. That's why we got Germany and Switzerland and Australia. And so this is a test run for us to see how does it look like to collaborate with other yoga studios, wellness studios around the world that have tasted this incredible philosophy, but applied to a big city like in New York. And so that's what we're doing. And I'm very happy to share some more and very happy to get your invitations to get Three Jewels to visit your city. Yeah, are you going to come to Rimrock? Yeah, that's a huge urban center, like a thriving metropolis of Rimrock. [Speaker 2] We were thinking, yeah, but we're not sure. [Speaker 1] Yeah, if you schedule soon enough, maybe we can get you some. Anyways, try to come and Guadalajara as well. Yeah, yeah, no, that's we've got talking about Casa Tartu. [Speaker 2] Casa Tartu is already. [Speaker 1] That's great. Yeah, put Rimrock in the calendar. Think about it. It'll be beautiful, really. Promise, promise. All right. And Alex Rivas, last question for you. I mean, you can both answer like what's your what's your hope about this particular tour that you're doing in Costa Rica? What's your vision about it? Yeah, we want to go deeper with them. We started like with yoga here. They are like really joggies like they are do the asana practice. So now we take them to meditation and we're planning coming back in August to make a bigger workshop, like more hours with them so they can go deeper. And to bring them to our community and not letting them go, like bring them to our community. Like they letting us enter to their hearts and we to our hearts and make a bigger community worldwide. Beautiful. Anything you want to add, Hector, or he say it all? For me, for me, we've done several of these pop ups relating to studio owners that are yoga studios or meditation studios or whatever. And for me, I see the responsibility of being able to give the owners of those studios a model to have a successful not just business, but successful philosophy so they can teach their students. So for me, if we can give them access to our classes, to our trainings, then we are sure that they have the best chance to take care of all their students. So we feel like guests popping in. And I just want to leave a beautiful impression so they can feel empowered to go. I want to learn more about, you know, karma, emptiness, and I want to see how it feels good to run a center that is helping people have meaningful lives. You know, and at Three Jewels, it's we're just in love with each other at Three Jewels. We have fights and blah, blah, blah. But, you know, like every human that if I can give that to a group of people that are going to run a studio for 10 years, that would make me so happy, you know. Amazing. OK, thank you so much and enjoy the day. Today is a good day. Thank you for having us. Yeah. No, thank you for coming. It's great. It's great. I feel very happy when, you know, we can connect in different ways and from different people doing different projects in different locations in the world, like connecting with these kind of projects, you know, so a pleasure. And thank you so much as well. From the next time, Juan, so you can report everything. Yeah, I was thinking to go, but I couldn't this time. But I was thinking maybe I just go. It's a quick trip. I'm already in Mexico. It's a quick trip, but maybe next time. All right. Thank you so much. And just to finish today with the program, Saturday program, you know, we have exciting news because I'm going to show you the screen again. Let me just find it. But the contest, the five houses contest is now. OK, here I have it. It's now finished in the sense that they choose finalists. They have the videos. The contest went great. There were many videos we couldn't show that were great. Don't feel discouraged if we couldn't show it to you. Some of them were just not family friendly, but they were great. And I mean, when I say family friendly, I mean they had some aspects we had to edit before they could be aired. I'm just joking. They were beautiful, but we couldn't show them here. But we have Pachi Coquette with us somewhere to talk about it with. Let me see why. Yeah, this is what in a few moments, a lucky person who made a wonderful video is going to be entitled to. Let me. Oh, Pachi is there. Pachi. Hi, Juan. Thanks for inviting me. Yes, thank you for this. I think it's a great initiative of making this contest, gets people excited. Then if you make the prize is wonderful. Great financial support, connecting to the teachings. They're going to be able to come and see Alex Rivas in stage and maybe Hector if he decides to come to Mexico. Come on, Hector. All right, so tell us. So here we are. This is the fourth week of we've been receiving lots of beautiful videos from many parts of the world. As you remember, we asked people to get a few verses from the Devil Debates the Devil text and create AI images and then give a teaching out of it. And, you know, it's it was fun. People were shy at the very beginning. We were kind of worried. We thought that very few people were going to participate, but eventually everyone sent something. So we had like something related, something around 25 videos and they were good and they were really good. So it was not easy for us. It was not easy for us to choose one, but we finally had to. So if you if it's ready, if the tech table has it at hand, this is the right moment to show it. OK, and it's funny because I was planning to play it, but then I send it to the tech table and I say, just in case you have it. So I'm glad I did that because I would like to request if the tech table could share it. For me, I will have to dig a little bit. I will need like a few minutes. Thank you so much, tech table. Hi, welcome to the Classics House. I'm Sandra and I have a question for you. Have you ever wondered if the devil exists? And if he does, where is he? I have bad news. He does exist and he's not out there with horns. He lives in our mind and it's our tendency to see things coming from its own side. There is a gem called the devil debates an angel. It's like a philosophical fight between the devil and his tempting ideas and the wisdom of an angel. Let's see one of the verses. Thus are the mighty deeds that I'm capable of, whereas you do, you can do no holy thing at all. You're like a moron that cannot tie their shoe. You appear but once and then you're gone. Here is the devil speaking. He gets really angry and he complains to the angel. It could be something like, ah, you're very divine, very wise, but where are you when you are needed? You show up one second and you leave me in this chaos. And it's true, the angel, the sweet little voice cannot stay longer. Why? Because every time we don't remember the pen, the angel goes like, okay, let me know you remember me. And she leaves. And who stays in the house, Mr. Devil? With our anger, he feels super comfortable and happy, feet on the table and eating our negative thoughts like popcorn. Let's see the second verse. Those who hope to accumulate merit beyond any measure should come and serve here at my feet. You must live in envy of me, too weak to do a thing. By now, you must be entirely exhausted. I suggest you, you stop coming to me. Here, the devil gets really cocky. He sells us the express Buddhahood in two minutes, no meditation, not stop yelling our husband in the kitchen. He says, come and serve me and accuses of being weak because every time that someone says a horrible thing to us and we get angry for getting the pen right there, we are serving him and becoming weaker. And what happened then with the angel? We take all the power away from her. I like to imagine her like a superhero of wisdom and our ignorance is like the kryptonite to her. That's why the devil says stop fighting. He's seen things coming from you. It's hard, isn't it? So keep calm, blame it on the world and keep the angel out of the window because for him, the more confused we are, the better business is. So if we want to stop serving breakfast to the devil and throwing the angel out of the window, we must stop blaming the other guy. Thank you. All right, Pachi. I hear that as well. We want to congratulate Sandra, by the way. I mean, even if she's here and she wants to say hi. You want to say hi, Sandra? Just open your mic. Yes, open your mic. She's there. [Speaker 2] Hello, everyone. [Speaker 1] Hey, congratulations, Sandra. [Speaker 2] Thank you very much. Thank you very much. I'm very happy. I'm surprised. [Speaker 1] Thank you for being brave and sending that video. Yeah, what are you going to do with all that money that you're going to save? [Speaker 2] Well, can I tell what I'm going to do? [Speaker 1] Sure. [Speaker 2] Well, I participated in this contest because Tim told us, if you want to be a low-job ninja, you can participate and you can give the prize to another person. So that was my motivation. And I want to give the prize to Lucero because I'm here because of her. I started studying because of her and I want to give it to her. Wow, that's amazing. Thank you so much. I didn't know about that special mission task. [Speaker 1] It's a great surprise to hear. OK, good job. Good job. So this is a P3 World News and Five Houses production. We will try to do more of these things in the future. I think it's fun. I think that we would like to bring more people, maybe some kind of sponsor appears. And let us do more of this in the future. But for the time being, it's two big seeds. We are trying to bring Sandra and then Sandra is trying to bring someone else. So we multiply the effect by two here. So we are happy. Congratulations to Sandra. Thank you, Juan, for the space. And see you soon. Yes, but before you go, Pachi, I hear there was a special mention of three videos you were supposed to share as a special thanks or something, recognition. I don't know where you picked that from. OK, maybe I got miscommunication. I'll investigate more. And if there is something about that, we'll share it on Monday. But we want to thank all of them. We received, as I said before, like 24, I think. And they were really good, really creative. Of course, we needed to choose one. So we got to be a little picky. But they were good. So I again want to thank everyone who participated and patiently waited till this moment. OK, thank you very much, Pachi. It was a great idea. We were at Diamond Mountain and this idea came to be a lot of obstacles because we are learning to do these kind of things. But next time we'll have more experience. Now we are more experts. All right. Thank you so much. Have a great time. And also thank you, translators. Thank you, people who come every week. And best wishes for Alex Rivas and Hector over there and all of you guys. Good to see you. Thank you, Ben. Thank you, Nick. Thank you, Stanley. See you next Monday. And be happy that Geshe-le is back. Yay. Well, I'm happy that he goes and comes and all that. That Ariana Garena says it's impossible. OK, bye.
