[Speaker 1]
Okay, we'll start. I'd like to start with a meditation that we've been doing lately. I think I first taught it in Guadalajara, and then Germany, and then Romania, and Moscow?

No. But it's called the Lion's Dance, and some of you have learned the first part. So we're going to do the first part together, and then I hope to start the second part with you guys later in the week, okay?

We haven't done that yet. There are five parts. So, get ready to meditate.

Buddha said first step, turn off your cell phone, do all your throat clearing.

[Speaker 2]
And you have a reading, right?

[Speaker 1]
You have a reading? Crinkle the papers now, just... Then finish.

Okay.

[Speaker 2]
Then small smile, little smile. Eyelids relax. Shoulders relax.

[Speaker 1]
Fingers relax. Shoulders back and down. No crinkling paper.

Refinish that, and pull in your stomach just a little bit. In this meditation, the Lion's Dance, we go directly to some sound in the room. So we have an air conditioner sound.

So we don't even count your breath, we just go straight to the sound.

[Speaker 2]
And glue your mind to that sound. We'll stay here for 10 or 20 breaths.

[Speaker 1]
Just listen to the sound of the air conditioner.

[Speaker 2]
Now please come to the sound of your heartbeat.

[Speaker 1]
When we're meditating together in a group, it's hard to hear your heartbeat in your ears, but try to connect to the feeling of your heart beating. We'll stay here for 10, 20 breaths.

[Speaker 2]
Compared to the sound of the air conditioner, the heartbeat is a more quiet place.

[Speaker 1]
But compared to watching the heartbeat from outside, it would be more quiet to be inside the heartbeat. So, in this next part of the meditation, try to imagine that you are inside the heart, and you are beating with the heart. Your whole self is beating with the heart.

You are sitting, meditating inside the heart, and you and the heart are beating. It would be more quiet if we didn't have to think about ourselves and the heartbeat. So, let's go to a deeper place, a quieter place, and just let the heart beat.

And don't think about yourself. It's just the heart beating and you are gone.

[Speaker 2]
No one's watching, it's just beating.

[Speaker 1]
Now I'd like you to imagine in the middle of your heart, a single grain of sugar. One tiny piece of white sugar, sparkling in the middle of your heart. And then put your mind inside of that grain of sugar.

Put your mind inside of that tiny place. Be inside of that single grain of sugar in your heart. The rest of your body is gone.

Just a single grain of sugar. Now imagine a lake, a huge lake, and the cut, the surface of the lake is totally calm, like a silver calm.

[Speaker 2]
Nothing's moving. Then we're going to take a pebble, a small stone, and we're going to drop it in the middle of the lake.

[Speaker 1]
And then follow the ripples. One is moving to the left, and at the same time another one is moving to your right. And your mind itself, there's a ripple on the calm watering of the mind itself, and that ripple is moving out from the center to the left and right.

Focus on a horizontal plane, just the surface of the water. And when I say drop the pebble, then you will see a ripple going out of your mind. There's no body.

There's no room. Just the mind spreading left and right. Infinitely.

No shore. No edge. And as we go through 10 or 20 breaths, then just imagine the ripple moving further and further away from the center.

Expand your mind. See the calm surface of the water and drop the pebble, and see a silent ripple.

[Speaker 2]
Expanding left and right. Now come back to the center of your mind.

[Speaker 1]
Imagine the very center of your mind in the dark is like a light bulb that isn't turned on yet. And when I say go, then turn on that light bulb in the middle of your mind in the dark. Turn on and then see a clear light expanding in all directions.

A ball of clear light expanding from the center of the mind and touching not just this earth, but the sun and the other planets. It never stops. It keeps expanding.

The clear light of your awareness until it expands past many stars, many planets, touching all those people, touching their awareness also.

[Speaker 2]
So turn on the light and let the awareness expand away, constantly moving silently. Now there's a very quiet place in the center of your mind. We can go there, and just drop all feelings, all thoughts, all memories, all awareness.

[Speaker 1]
Almost as if you had died, and there's just black. No awareness, no consciousness. Empty black space.

It's very quiet there. Very, very quiet. If a thought comes up, drop it.

If a feeling comes up, drop it. If you hear or feel something on your skin, drop it and stay in the nothing.

[Speaker 2]
It takes some effort to stay there in nothing.

[Speaker 1]
Things are coming up. Thoughts are coming up. Sounds are disturbing.

So in the final part of this meditation, we ignore what comes up. We would like to stay in nothing. But if something comes up, we just let it fade away.

We don't try to stop it or cancel it. So stay in nothing. If something comes, let it also be nothing.

And slowly, please come back to your breath. Watch three slow, long exhales. Then slowly you can open your eyes.

[Speaker 2]
I like to take a stretch.

[Speaker 1]
Okay, that's the very first part of a meditation that was taught by the Buddha. The Sanskrit name is Singha Vidyarmabhita. Singha, say Singha.

Singha Vidyarmabhita. Singha Vidyarmabhita. So Singha means lion, like Singapore.

And Vidyarmabhita means when the lion goes like, that's called Vidyarmabhita. We call lions dance. Somebody asked me in Germany, was it?

I think. They said, why lions, why Vidyarmabhita? Why lions roar?

And it means if your mind starts to get upset or angry at somebody else, at another person, you start to think other people, the trouble in your life will come from other people. When you start to think that, you have to go like that. Or in America, you can use another finger and you can say some bad word and that's the meaning.

That's the real meaning. It means if your mind starts to get angry at another person, oh, this person hurting me all the time. Then when that thought comes, you should go at the thought and tell your mind to shut up.

So the name of the meditation is the lion and tell your mind, stupid mind to shut up. Everything you experience in your life, from your wife or your husband or your friends or your boss, it's all coming from you. So if you start to feel upset or angry at the other person, you have to go to your own mind.

That's the meaning of the name. Paruski. Grom.

There's a word in Russian. Grom. Thunder.

Grom. It comes from djem bita. Djem comes from grom.

It means loud noise. Okay. All right.

So anywhere like that. Grumble comes from that. Grumble.

Okay. So we're going to be learning this meditation. It was taught by the Buddha in three of the Borobudur Mido scriptures.

And he taught it three times. It has nine parts. We learned the first part in Mexico, I think, and Germany.

But I've never taught the second part. There are five parts. So we're going to do the second part this week.

Okay. Maybe, yeah, I think so. We can finish, okay, this time.

And I translated it and if I have time, I'll give it to you. I'll give you the translation. Okay.

And we'll learn this together. I'm not going to teach more about it tonight, but you should know that the eight levels, we went through eight levels if you don't count the air conditioner. Okay.

Those eight kinds of meditation that we just did are not very useful. They are not what we call powerful meditation. They are nice.

They are friendly. They are fun. They are cool.

You can do it for half an hour. It's like eating a good croissant in Moscow or something. But then after that comes the serious meditation.

Okay. So those eight are just kind of, what do you call? Warm up.

Okay. You're not supposed to stop there. Okay.

So if you don't come back tomorrow, please don't do those eight meditations. Tomorrow we'll do the real meditation. Those eight are not meditation.

They are just to make your mind flexible, like doing yoga. Okay. It's not the goal.

Okay. They're just to prepare your mind. Okay.

So don't stop there. I was in Guadalajara. Me and Alejandro went to the airport.

We saw a really nice, what do you call that car? Maserati. And we were just staring at it for like 10 minutes, because we will never have one.

And then, you know, it's like you have a Maserati. You are living in Shanghai. You have to go to Ningbo.

Your mother is very sick. Okay. You have to get there quickly.

Then you have a Maserati and you go look at the Maserati and you stand there and look at the Maserati and your mother is very sick and you don't get in the Maserati and you don't go to Ningbo. You see what I mean? It's stupid not to use it.

Okay. So those eight are just like Maserati which is parked in the parking lot. Number nine is the real one.

Okay. So we'll do that tomorrow. Okay.

But please don't stop with those eight. Okay. Okay.

I guess the first thing I'd like to do is... Michael and Melissa here? No.

I'd like to embarrass them if I can. No. Tomorrow.

Okay. Well, we'll just embarrass Mr. Ruesinger. So we are lucky tonight to have the person who was president of this Diamond Mountain for many years and he's still president of the money which is the real president.

Without him we cannot have this place and I would like to thank Mr. Rob Ruesinger. The two main bosses of the staff are Tahiya and Gyelse. Will you stand up?

So we bought this place. I mean I wasn't there, I was in retreat, but they bought it in 2000? 1999?

2000. Then between 2003 and 2010 there were about 130 students finished the Vajrayana course, Tantra course. It took seven years.

Then 35 did a three-year silent retreat after that. Those people built their own cabins and there wasn't any money. They used their own money and they used the tools their mom gave them and they built their own cabins.

Before they started the three-year retreat, they said when we finish the three-year retreat in the cabin which we built and paid for, then we will give our cabins to Diamond Mountain and people can use them forever in the future generations. So some of those people are here. I'd like them to stand up if you did a three-year retreat here.

Can you stand up and I'd like to thank you. Ani Thelma did two three-year retreats, back to back, six years. So that's why we have cabins.

So when you see them you should thank them. All right, so we're going to be going through a text. It was a teaching given by my teacher's teacher's teacher whose name is Pabongka Rinpoche and he's from our monastery.

He's from our college. There are 12 colleges in our monastery. So he's from our college called Gyellong Kamten.

This is our college and he's the main Lama there. He taught this book in the 1920s and then his teacher, sorry, his student, which is my teacher's teacher, he wrote the book down. This is called Lam Rim.

Lam Rim means everything you need to know to get enlightened from A to Z. So every step you need to become a Buddha is in this book. It's also, I think, the best written book in Tibet ever in history.

It's an extraordinary piece of literature, even if it wasn't the most important book in this world. So I love books. We save lots of books.

We have a project to save books. John Brady, who's not, he's coming, is in charge of a project. We're saving 200,000 books.

This is the best one of 200,000 books. My teacher taught it to me twice. It took 30 years.

So I thought in my life, I would like to teach it again. So then you can teach it to your kids. So I agreed about six or seven years ago to teach the whole thing.

This is the 27th retreat. I don't know how much we've finished. Let me see.

We've finished 238 pages. There's 400 pages. We're three quarters through.

Something like that. But when I get to the end, I want to do Tsongkapa's lamrim about emptiness, his teaching on emptiness. Because it's so good that this guy didn't put it in his book.

He said, I don't need to put it in my book. Tsongkapa did it. So when we finish this in about five years, we have to finish that other.

That's about 400 more pages. So maybe another 15 years. I don't know.

We'll see. All right. So we've reached the part on karma.

Many of you come from DCI programs. Many of you first met us at DCI programs in your country. All the DCI material comes from this book or similar books.

I think this week you will recognize a lot of DCI. So we've reached the most important part on karma. So we're going to be talking about karma all week.

A lot of you who have been to DCI programs, you will see, oh, that's where Geshe-la got it. He stole everything from this other lama. It's true.

It's so good I could just steal it. So I think you'll be happy to see that it's part of Buddhism. You see, it's an ancient lineage about karma.

Many of you heard it in a business program or a relationship program. I think that's the way lamrim should be taught in the world. I think for Buddhist people, you come to Diamond Mountain, we read the book together, but most people in the world are not interested in Buddhism.

They're just interested in happiness, or they would like to be successful, and they would like some kind of protection in their life. You can share these ideas with those people, and they don't have to be Buddhist. I don't care if they're Buddhist.

We teach, we just got back from Indonesia. It's the largest Muslim country in the world. 250 million Muslims.

Scott and Stanley taught this stuff in the Congress of Mexico, to the Senators of Mexico. We have Argentina people here. Where are you?

We taught it in their country to their president, to the guy who's the president now, in his office when he was the mayor. Like that. You don't have to be a Buddhist.

I don't care. If you understand karma, it will make you happy, and you'll be successful. You'll have a happy family.

You'll have successful work, and also you learn something that you can use after you die. This doesn't stop when you die. We are teaching success program, but the success doesn't stop when you die.

The success keeps going. That's our goal. We'll go through this book.

I like to go word by word. I'm sorry it's in a foreign language. I want to make a video.

On the video, I want to explain every word, because I'm afraid in the future people won't understand them. We will go through every word. I know it's boring for you.

I know you have to sit on the floor for a long time, and I don't care. Because when I travel, I have to be nice and teach soft things, but when I'm at Diamond Mountain, I can teach what I want to teach. If you don't like it, you go back to Tucson.

Okay, so we're going to do it the old way. This is how they did it for a thousand, two thousand years, and you will suffer, and I will talk and talk and talk, and later you will do it to your own students. So, when I was in the monastery for many years suffering there, except we don't have, the rain is on our heads, and sun, hot sun, and I said, when I become teacher, I will make those students suffer.

So, now is the time. So, you can be happy, because later you can make your own students suffer. Okay, so just think about that, and don't think about your legs.

Okay, and I will be teaching you, did they get a handout? Yeah, you got a handout. I'll be teaching you about 20, 25 meditations.

You'll be doing them during your three-day silent retreat by yourself. So, during this talk, I will also teach you some more meditations. The main meditation will be the lion, but you will also do these.

So, maybe in the morning you do the lion, then during the day you do these meditations, and then in the night you try the lion again. Okay? So, that's the plan.

All right. Okay, let's go. I think Tim's going to show the, somebody.

Okay. LIP GUB GIF 27, G-I-F-T space 27. Yeah, these happen to be my own notes, but if some people would like to follow the Tibetan, you can follow the Tibetan.

Okay. Okay, so I'm going to skip the meditation, Nick. I want to review where we were just before, okay?

When we left, where were we last? Guadalajara in Mexico. The last thing we talked about, okay, is that six different things make karma serious.

Okay? And this is, you learned one system in DCI, there are many systems, okay? So, you can go deeper now, okay?

When you teach DCI, you can use this deeper knowledge, okay? So, there are six things which make karma heavy, okay? First one is the nature of the karma, okay?

The nature of the karma. It means there are ten most serious karmas in Buddhism, right? Protecting life.

Protecting other people's property. Respecting other people's relationships. Telling the truth.

Bringing people together. Saying sweet things to other people. Not wasting people's time, okay?

Not being unhappy when other people get something. Not being happy when other people have trouble. And not misunderstanding the world, okay?

These are ten good deeds in Buddhism. There are 84,000 karmas. These are the top ten.

If it's the top ten out of 84,000, you must be doing it every day. Whether you believe it or not, you are doing them every day, okay? So, would you rather someone kill you or would you rather someone lie to you?

Yeah, good. I would rather have someone lie to me. So, when you're trying to figure out which karma is more serious, you can think which one would you like.

So, killing is more serious than lying, okay? That's what number one means, okay? If you kill somebody, that's a more serious karma than lying to them, okay?

And the other nine or eight, you can figure out yourself, okay? Maybe there's some differences between different people. Like, would you rather someone call you stupid or would you rather someone make you lose your friends, for example?

Like that, okay? Okay, number two. How strong are your emotions when you do something, okay?

Do you visit the old lady at the nursing home because you have to or are you having fun? And do you love her, okay? Did you get really angry when you kill an insect or did you do it by accident?

Okay, so second one is emotions. How strong is your emotion? And that makes the good or bad karma more strong, okay?

Third one. How did you do it? You see, they're talking about killing and killing animals for food and in the example he gives, you go to these restaurants where they serve lobster and you choose the lobster, he's alive, and then they will put him in boiling water for you to cook your dinner.

And you can watch this lobster die in the boiling water. It's very common in restaurants, okay? So, it's bad to kill another living thing, but this way is, the way is bad, you see?

To boil them alive. At least kill them first, then boil them, that's okay. But boil them alive.

This is special. The way you do it is special suffering for them, okay? This can also be a good karma, you know?

When you give a gift to your mother-in-law, you can go like this or you can bake her a cake and say, I love you, you know, and give her, you know. How you do it is to make the karma stronger, okay? All right.

All right, number four. Who was involved in the karma? If you lied to somebody, for example, lying to your mother is much more serious than lying to a stranger, okay?

Because your mother has a big karma connection with you. So, who is the other person that you are hurting? Is this someone, like to kill a doctor or something, it's very serious, okay, like that.

Who's the other person? Number five is, do you do it as a habit? Do you do it over and over and over, okay?

Sometimes we make a mistake and, you know, I don't know. Like when I'm driving, I get angry, I don't know. I never get angry except when I'm driving.

Then you just get angry once, that's okay, but then it becomes a habit. And every time you drive, you're showing singha-vijan-bharta to somebody, okay? So, if it's a habit, the karma is more powerful, okay?

If you've been doing it a lot, over and over, bad habit, karma is more powerful. Also good habit, okay? You're nice to your mother-in-law on Tuesday and then on Thursday you're nice to her again.

Friday you're nice to her again. Okay, that's a good habit. Number six, no antidote.

It means you don't use the four powers. Just do bad things all day. You never do anything nice, okay?

Or you do nice things all day and you never do something bad. So, if you're doing it without a parallel opposite karma, you see? If you're doing only good karma with no bad karma in the same day, it's more powerful.

Or if you're doing only bad karma and you're not doing any antidote, no four powers, then that's more powerful, okay? So, these are six ways that karma can be more powerful. And you're going to meditate on them during your three days, okay?

So, the first meditation, which is at the top here. Uh-oh. Can you go back up more?

There you go. Your first meditation is going to be pick out something you did in your life, good or bad, and check the six. Check the six ways that karma can be more powerful.

Like, okay, I lied to my mother, okay? Then number one, is that pretty powerful according to the, is it worse than killing? Is it worse than killing?

No, okay. It's like not so bad. Lying is about in the middle.

Wait, where'd you go, Nick? Oh, good. Yeah, then emotions, okay?

When I lied to her, was I angry or was I kind of neutral, you see? How was my emotions at that time? Third, did I lie to her like really obvious way or was I like a little bit nice to her?

She said, Mike, do you like this dress I bought today? And I'm like, it's pretty nice, yeah. Then it's a lie, but I try to make her feel good, you see?

The way is not so bad. If I say like, yeah, really nice, okay, then the way is more heavy karma, okay? BHUM means mother is pretty powerful.

Mother is one of the most powerful, okay? Who did you do it to? I did it to my mother.

Oh, that's extremely powerful, okay? Constantly. Did you lie to her every day or did you do it once, okay?

Just once. And then no counter agent means, did you go back to her the next day and say, I lied to you, I'm sorry? Did you tell your Lama, okay?

Did you try to fix it? Okay, so during your three-day retreat, you're going to pick one good thing or one bad thing you did and in your meditation you're going to check these six, okay? All right, now I'm going to go to the Tibetan.

DE NA, CI BA GCIG SROM PA NAS, GRUG PA SROM PA'I BAR YOD There's a very unusual word here called SROM. SROM means to put together, to put together many things. So I have a friend, her name is put together all the high qualities of a Buddha.

Her name is CHOS SROM, CHOS SROM, okay? This is CHOS SROM. So my Lama gave her the name, all the good qualities of Buddha, SROM, put together, you see?

Why does this word come here? It means how many of those six things come together? Like, were you angry and it's your mother?

That's two. Or did you kill and angry and it's your mother? That's three, you see?

So GCIG NAS GRUG means you can have a karma with only one of these six or you can have a karma with all six, okay? Good or bad, good or bad. BYANG SEMS LA GONG DROG CHEN PO'I MIG LOG BSTAD PA DANG I'll give you an example.

You tell me how many are there, okay? Ready? This is a jet lag test.

I'm so happy you have jet lag and I don't. This is the only place that it's true, okay? BYANG SEMS means bodhisattva and then with great anger, okay?

Like the bodhisattva said, Geshe-la, you can't have chocolate today. Then I go, just like that, watch, watch, okay? But I'm really angry, okay?

Outside I'm just, okay, how many do I have of the six? Wait, which one? Yeah, number one, strong emotion and second, powerful object, okay?

Is looking with your eyes very serious? No, it's not, okay? You look at girls and you know, it's not serious, okay?

Just two things are serious. Number one, the emotion. No chocolate?

And number two, the object. It's a bodhisattva, okay? Then the rest is okay.

So those are two. I'll give you another one, you tell me how many. These are his examples.

Kill an animal in a really nasty way, like hurting them many ways before you kill them. How many of the six? Wait, give me one, give me one.

Killing, yeah, killing is the worst of the ten in some ways, okay? Of the seven definitely. And?

Yeah, and the way you do it, the way you did it. But we didn't mention the emotion here. We didn't mention the emotion.

Maybe you are just playing. Children do that. I did it when I was a kid.

I would kill animals like a game, you know? So it's two. Two are complete here, okay?

Here we go again. This is for monk, okay? Or nun, okay?

This is for monk or nun, okay? In the monastery we're not allowed to have music, except on holiday, unless you have some special reason to play music. You can play music to celebrate Dharma.

That's good. We're going to do it here. But generally, you shouldn't, if everybody, 3,000 monks in the monastery each play music on their telephone, there will be a problem because we live close together.

Okay, so this person playing music with great desire, like they cannot stop themselves, okay? How many? He says one, okay?

He says one, big desire. There's a strong desire. Let's say he's, yeah, he didn't actually say monastery, he just implied monastery.

So okay, maybe one, maybe two. Okay, let's do another one. You ready?

This one's a little bit long, so it's not hard to guess. A butcher who never does anything good, and is always doing bad things, and is very angry at his mother and father, and really hurts them with a knife, and then finally kills them. How many?

Six. Okay, he did all six. Who can tell me this sin?

With strong emotion, powerful object, way is bad, constantly doing it. We did object. It's a heavy kind of karma.

Killing is a heavy kind of karma. No antidote. He always does only bad things, okay?

It's not mixed up with good things. Most karmas are kar-nat-len-dre. Yeah, ashukla-akrishnam janma-veda.

Anyway, fourth chapter, Yoga Sutra. Tri-vidham itthare sham. Ashukla-akrishnam tri-vidham itthare sham.

It means, mixed shukla-krishna. Shukla means white, krishna means black. So almost all the karmas we do are mixed.

We never do perfect good thing, because we usually have some attitude like, I hope people hear about it, and we never do perfectly bad thing because we feel guilty afterwards. So we usually mix karma. Most of our karmas are mixed.

DE NA RANG RE LA MI CHI BA MED PA'I SDIG PA GANG CI'I CI'I BDAG TU NUS NAS YOD If you think about these six, you will realize that you are squashing yourself under karmas that are not heavy. It's like emptiness, right? You are squashing yourself all the time under very heavy karmas.

Now next, I'm excited because I think the four flowers is one of the most important parts of DCI. Four flowers means every karma you do opens in four different ways. Every karma you ever do opens in four different ways.

It's a big part of DCI teaching. Why? It helps people to appreciate karma.

Most of us didn't hear good teachings about karma when we were growing up. My mom knew the word karma. She said, don't kill bugs, Mikey.

I said, why not? She said, bad karma. I said, what's karma?

I don't know. That's all the teaching I got about karma. In America, for example, because we don't grow up with the karma, it's difficult for American people to understand karma, and it's difficult for them to change their mind about karma.

But if someone teaches you the four flowers, if someone teaches you the four ways that karma opens, then you can believe it more. I think it's a very valuable teaching for DCI, for business people, for people in relationships, for people with addictions. It's very helpful for normal people.

They can understand karma better, and they can accept karma more if you teach them the four ways that karma opens. If you want to know where I got it from, it's right here. In 15 years of teaching this book, you are here for the one night that we talk about the four flowers.

You are lucky. That's why rainbow came out today. All right, here we go.

DE DAG GI BRAL BUR RTEN PA LA SNGA MIN RGYUD DUN BDAG CES There are three flowers, he said. Good, you're the only person who went, what? Only, you know.

Yeah, he says three. It's the problem. He says three.

Here we go. Number one, ripen later. SNGA MIN, we call Vipacca.

Vipacca, ripens later. Pachi's name means well-cooked in Sanskrit. Vipacca, Vipacca means it ripens later.

That's how we think about karma. You know, ripens in the next life or something. That's called ripen later.

That's the first way that karma opens. Number one. Number two, the cause matches the result.

You get something back which is similar. You get something back which is similar. Something similar happens.

That's the second one. Third one, something happens to your environment. Something happens to your environment.

Which one's missing? Okay, let's find out. Let's find out.

Okay. MI DGE BA CHU PO DE DAG GANG BYAS KYANG BDE BU GSUM PO DE NAS So no matter which of the ten good karmas you do or the ten bad karmas you do, from these three, you will get four results because we split the second one into two. The one that comes back to you the same way, we split into number one, someone does something back to you the same, and number two, you get the habit to do the same.

Now we have four. Okay? So don't be confused, but you're already confused.

It's okay. Four ways that karma comes back to you. Four ways that karma comes back to you.

Number one, if you lie to someone, then in this life, in the next few years, people will lie to you. That's number one. What you do, I call it pumpkin.

Shikua. What you do, you plant shikua, you get shikua. That's all.

You plant a pumpkin, you get pumpkin. You lie to people, people will lie to you, in this life. That's number one.

Number two, even if you do it only once in your life, you will get a habit. Because karma is so powerful. If you lie once, you will lie again.

You won't be able to stop. You'll get a habit. So the Buddhist word for habit is a little bit stronger.

It doesn't mean you have to lie 10 times, 20 times to get a habit. In Buddhism, when you lie once, you are planting a habit. Already.

That's the second result of karma. So if you lie now, two things will happen. Number one, people will lie to you in the coming weeks and months.

Number two, you will start lying more and more. That's number two. Number three, it will change the weather, and your country, and the world, and the traffic, and the songs on the radio.

Oh, I know what happened between 1968 and now. Something bad must have happened. You see, the whole environment will change.

Everything will be worse. They will elect a stupid president. Everything about your country will get worse.

People will lie, everywhere. And the result of lying in the country is that there's more corruption in my country. The judges are not fair.

The police are not fair. Things like that. People don't obey the traffic law.

This is the environment result of lying. Now, that's very bad because if you lie, then the people around you, which are also your environment, they will start to lie and you will get the habit. You see, you will say, oh, Utta told a lie.

I guess it's okay. Or Geshe Michael said a lie. It must be okay.

Then people around you are all lying. So, it's difficult. If you live in a country where you have to have corruption to rent an apartment or to get a driver's license or a passport, then you're going to also start to act like that.

You will also start to do that. You see, that corruption spread to you also. Okay, that's environment.

Number four, in your next life, you will be born in a very corrupt country. You will be born around people who cheat each other all the time. You go to the store.

I went to the store in a certain country. I won't name the store. I bought some aspirin.

I got very sick from the aspirin. A friend of mine said, well, what kind did you buy? I said, oh, I bought this kind.

He said, no, no, no. Never buy that aspirin. They use rat poison.

Because it's cheaper. Because it's cheaper. You see?

Never buy that kind. Everybody knows. Why did you buy that?

I said, I didn't live in this country. I don't know. Okay, so, in your next life, you'll be born in a country where people think it's okay to make aspirin with rat poison because it's cheaper.

You see what I mean? That's the fourth one. Those are the four.

The first one and the second one are similar, so sometimes we count three. All right, here we go. I'm going to give you, because you have jet lag tonight, I will be nice to you.

Tomorrow I will not be nice to you. I'll give you a break in 12 minutes, okay? You can lay down even.

Take a nap. My regular colleagues, Scott, Ori, Nick, Seiji, they learned how to sleep in the teaching with their eyes open. So, if you need, you can ask them.

Okay. Okay, because we always have jet lag. We are jet lag specialists.

Diamond Cutter Jet Lag Company. DE YANG MI DGE BA CHEN PO'I NYAL BAR If you do big bad deeds in the next life, okay, he starts with number four, okay? He starts with number four.

What happens in next life? Okay. Why did Geshe Michael put it last in the DCI?

Most people who come to DCI don't believe in future life. So I always teach number four very quiet and very fast. Okay.

But anyway, in traditional presentation, we do number four first because it's more serious. In your next life, if you do big bad deeds, you'll be born in hell realm. If you do medium bad deeds, you'll be born as a hungry spirit.

If you do less bad deeds, you'll be born as an animal. Three choices from killing. In the case of killing, he says, let's talk about killing.

Because it's so serious to take away a person's body. The fourth result, the next life result, is always the hell realms, okay? From killing people especially.

Okay, second one. NAM CIG DE LAS THAR NA MYUR SKYES KYANG MYONG BA RGYU MTHUN SRED MTHUNG ZHING NAS DBANG BA DANG Even if you are born as a human, or before you die, you will have a shorter life and you will always be sick, okay? From killing.

Killing animals, eating meat, okay? The same. Okay.

It's interesting to me that in America, where they eat a lot of meat, most people eat a lot of meat, it's more cholesterol. Meat has more cholesterol. It means many people die from the oil in the meat, you see?

And it's interesting. And dairy, most dairy is a lot of suffering for the animals. So it's interesting.

Most of the dairy, cheese, milk, it's bad for your cholesterol also. Who put the cholesterol in meat and dairy? Yeah, you did, okay?

Okay, got it? That's why it's more, it's not healthy for you, because you kill people. Okay.

Habit. BYAS PA RGYU MTHUN GYI SKABS NAS GSUNGS SOGS SPYOD PA LA RGA BA You enjoy killing. After a while, it becomes a habit.

And the first time you kill somebody, it's a little bit, you hesitate. Second time, you hesitate less. Third time, fourth time, then after that you start to enjoy it.

All right. Okay, environment. BDAG RJE GNOD KYI JI BSTAN NAS BYUNG STE SA STONG DANG MAN LA SOGS PA THU CHUNG BA Countries that don't have enough to eat.

Countries that don't have clean water. Countries where medicines are not very good. It's a result, environmental result, of killing.

RANG RES NYAL BAR SKYES TE LUS DANG MED YER MED DU BRTZE NAS SDOD PA LAS MI RNAM DU SKYES TE GSUGS CHE LA RGA BA DI NYAN TE Now, just before, we'll take a break after this piece. You tell me what's the most dangerous of the four. Ella.

Ella says habit. Oh, next lifetime you mean? Yeah, right.

So among the four, you can understand easily, the worst one is the habit. Okay, is it worse to go to hell or is it worse to get a habit of killing? Yeah, habit of killing, because it will make you go to hell many times.

You see what I mean? He says here, which would you rather, go to hell or get a habit of killing? Of course, most of us will say, I don't want to go to hell.

He says, no, no, the habit is more dangerous. Because of the habit, you will go many times. So the worst one of the four, which in DCI, we don't talk about the habit that much, right?

But it's the worst one. He says here, it's the worst one. Okay.

DE LA RANG SOGS CHUG GI RGYUD DON DE NGAN DOR PHAN PA'I, it will take you to the hell realms many times. BDE BU THAMS CAD NAS KHA GNOG CHOS, KHA GNOG means evil. If you want a Tibetan word for evil, this is it.

KHA GNOG, black mouth. The most evil one is the habit. RGYUD MTHUN GYI DE YIN PAS RANG RES MI DGE BA BYED PA'I RGYUD MTHUN SGOGS THAMS So you and I should try to break our bad habits and DGE BA'I BYED PA RGYUD DON YONGS THABS LA PA'I DGOS GSUNGS We should try to create good habits.

We should use the laws of karma to create good habits that we do again and again and again. MA JIN LEN SOGS MI DGE BA LHAG MA'ANG DGOS PA RIM BZHIN Then he's going to give the karma results from each kind of the ten bad deeds. He's going to give the karma results, the different kinds, the four different kinds.

This meditation I want you to think about. This will be the third meditation that you do during your three-day retreat. This will be the third meditation that you do during your three-day retreat.

What I said was, almost all the things that happen to you are mixed. You see, you have a son, but he gets sick. You see what I mean?

Like there's mixed up good karma and bad karma. You see? You like doing yoga, but you, sometimes you hurt yourself.

Like that. Almost all karmas are mixed. So in meditation number three, during your three-day retreat, you will take something about your life.

You can take your body. Okay? And then you go back and find the four results.

Okay? How is this a result of a habit? Which part, Geshe-la?

The part, the wrinkles or the yoga body? You see, your body's mixed. There's good parts of your body and there's bad parts of your body.

Everybody. Okay? Then I want you, during the meditation, go back, each part, and find the cause.

Okay? Find the sin. Oh, Geshe-la, I'm tall.

Okay, that's a good sin. Yeah, but I get sick a lot. That's a bad sin.

My back hurts. That's a bad sin. I like headstand.

That's a good sin. Okay? So you're going to take something in your life.

I don't know, your mom, your dad, your brother, your job, anything, and you're going to trace back, we call threads, trace back the causes that you must have done in the past. Okay? If your meditation's really good, you can see directly what you did in the past life.

But most of us, we cannot do that. We have to use third eye. What's the third eye?

Lodging. I'm sorry, it's not very sexy. Third eye is lodging.

Okay? If you have a backache, you must have hurt some other being in the past. Okay?

So you're going to take your body and go backwards. And I encourage you, we're going to study it tomorrow. There's a special meditation.

Make a movie about your past life, in your head, in your mind. Yeah, I don't have much hair here. Oh yeah, you must have made fun of a bald guy.

Oh yeah, I was a bad boy. Yeah, but I'm pretty tall. Oh yeah, well you helped your friend who was short.

And then make a movie about your past life. Okay? And with your third eye.

We're going to learn it tomorrow. All right, the photo I chose is, who's that? Sherlock Holmes.

He always figured out what happened yesterday by looking carefully at the thing today. Understand? Okay?

You're going to be past life Sherlock Holmes. What did I do in my past life? What's the evidence in this life?

Okay, got it? All right, take a break. 15 minutes.

There will be a bell ring. When you hear the bell, come back quickly. Okay?

All right. Okay, we'll start. We'll do about another few minutes on karma results.

And then if you have any questions for the last 15 minutes. Okay? So I'll start questions at nine o'clock.

Okay? So he gives some of the results from each of the ten big karmas. And you can guess them, but it's nice to hear them.

Okay? It's like confirmation. Okay?

First one, NYON BA RGYUD MTHUN LONGS SPYOD UL BA DANG GZHAN DANG THUB MONG DU RGYUR BA If you steal things from people, then the flower number one, what comes back to you in this life, is that you never have enough money. And there's this interesting karma. You don't own things yourself.

You see, you always own them with somebody else. You see, like your car or your house or the things you own are always partly somebody else's. Like you don't have your own company, you have to share it with somebody else and things like that.

In a bad way, not in a good way. Like they're always telling you what to do. Okay?

So that's from stealing. By the way, one of the most common forms of stealing is to cheat on your taxes. Okay?

And it's a very serious bad karma. It's a very stupid bad karma. Because the people, what they're supposed to use the tax for is to build the roads out here and to keep the internet going and to protect your country with your army and things like that.

So, when you cheat on your taxes, you actually cheat every other person in your country. So in China, it's worse to cheat on your taxes than America. Because you are cheating 1.4 billion people. I'm only cheating 300 million people. So, be careful of that kind of karma. Okay?

Just pay. I like to pay a little extra. Okay.

It confuses the government. GOR YOD DANG BCU MA GSUNGS MI THUB PA If you don't respect other people's relationship, other people's marriage, if you have a company, the workers will not be loyal to you. They will cheat you.

They will not work well. And you will have trouble. Your own partner won't be loyal to you.

Your own wife or your own husband will not be loyal to you. Okay. Okay.

Lying. It's a funny karma. No one will believe what you say.

Okay. It's very frustrating, as you know. Divisive talk.

Dividing other people. It will be hard for you to make friends. It will be difficult for you to make friends.

And you will lose your friends. And if you have a company, you will lose your best employees. Things like that.

Okay. This is from trying to split up other people. Or being happy when other people are fighting with each other.

Okay. Harsh words. If you call people stupid or things like that.

Of course, people will say unpleasant things to you. So, you know, you can hear these things and then you can say, oh, I shouldn't do that. Okay.

But I think it's even more interesting to reconstruct your past life. See, based on what's happening in this life. Okay.

You can tell a lot about your past life. And then you can clean those seeds. Okay.

With your third eye you can see. Okay. Wasting other people's time.

People don't respect what you say. They don't listen to what you say. Okay.

You say to your husband, let's go to the restaurant and he says, I don't think so. Okay. Bad idea.

Okay. Unhappy when other people succeed. Okay.

Number eight, right? Bad karma number eight. Is that all of your plans fail.

Every time you plan something, you have a dream or you have a job you can't finish. Doesn't work. Happy when others fail.

By the way, if it's in the top 10 of 84,000 bad deeds, we'd probably do it many times every day. In a small way. In a small way.

Okay. Oh, look at this famous movie star had a divorce. Oh, that's so interesting.

You become a more nervous person. Okay. By being happy when others fail, you start to have a lot of worry, anxiety attack.

You feel nervous all the time. Okay. Unsure of yourself.

Okay. Number ten. There's a joke in Tibet, the karmic result of bad view is bad view.

Okay. Why can't I understand the pen? Because you didn't understand it yesterday.

So that one is special. You don't understand that the world is coming from how you treat other people. Okay.

The seed for that is that you didn't understand that the world is coming from how you treat other people. So this one karma is very famous. It's always the same thing.

It's one of the proofs for there is no beginning to your mind. It's one of the proofs for there is no beginning of your mind. Because your mind is full of misunderstanding and that can only come from another mind of the moment before, which is full of misunderstanding.

So this number ten is one of the popular proofs for past lives. Endless past lives. No beginning.

Okay. It's interesting in the West, in America for example, we are taught as children to feel uncomfortable if there's no beginning. You see?

We are taught there must be a beginning to the world. Or, you know, everything has to have a beginning and then we are taught that that is more logical or that is more scientific. But if you think about it for three minutes instead of two, it doesn't make any sense at all that there can be movement without movement before.

It's not, I mean, Newton said that, you know, everything that's moving was put into motion by something else. Therefore, it's impossible that your mind has a beginning. Okay, it's not possible.

It wasn't created on a Tuesday. No such, it's impossible. Okay.

SDIG PA BYAS PA RGA' ZHIG TSE RING BA DANG LAM ROL BYED LA Now comes a very important question that always comes up in DCI teachings and here's the answer. Okay, so all of you should be a DCI teacher. Someday you can organize a big city like Guangzhou, like Vivian's doing, and Jasmine's so well.

Here's one of the most common questions. It's here. SDIG PA BYAS PA RGA' ZHIG TSE RING BA DANG LAM ROL BYED LA Why some people who do bad things have long life and get lots of money?

You know, those mafia guys. These old mafia guys. CHOS BYAS PA RGA' ZHIG TSE LTUNG BA DANG GNAS SOGS RGYUD MANG BA And then other people who are always doing dharma, they have short life and they're always sick.

So here's the question. RGYAL BA SNGA MA'I RGYUD BYED GZHAN DANG GZHAN GYIS YIN It's a different link of cause and effect. It's a different link of cause and effect.

Success in this life comes from being nice to other people in your past life. Sickness in this life comes from not helping sick people in your past life. Doing mafia work in this life will lead to a very bad future life.

Doing nice things for people in this life will lead to happy future life. So it's no inconsistency. Okay.

Good makes good and bad makes bad and they never ever mix one percent. Not possible. Okay, not possible.

What's the famous example in DCI of the gift to the mother-in-law? Yeah, you're trying to, you have trouble with your mother-in-law and you try to do something nice for her so she will like you and you buy her a shower mat with flowers on it. And then she, she's like suspicious, you know, why you buy me a shower mat?

I just want to be nice. Okay. Then she puts it in the shower.

She takes a shower and she falls down. Then she blames you, you see. Does that prove that good deed makes a bad result?

No, that's all bad karma. You hurt somebody two weeks ago. Okay, get it straight, okay?

It's impossible to have a bad thing happen by doing something nice to somebody. And it's impossible to have a good thing happen when you hurt somebody. It's not possible.

Okay, it looks like that, but it's not true. Okay? That's his answer.

RANG CHAGS LA JIG RTEN DIR MIN GDOD BYUNG BA RNAMS ZHING DIR SBYOR NAS DU NYE SO RANG BZHIN GYI MTHIL KHAN ZHIG GIS CHES SO SNYAMS PA DBANG MOS When something happens to us in our everyday life we tend to look for CHAL KHYEN. CHAL KHYEN means little things that went wrong this week. You know, I lost some money.

I must have done something last week, something wrong with my strategy, you know. Okay. I spoke to my husband.

I tried to make him happy and he become more unhappy. You know, it must be something in our marriage that happened last week or last month. And then this Rinpoche says, forget it.

It probably happened a hundred years ago. Okay, learn how to clean the seed, okay? But don't go crazy looking for the cause last week, okay?

These seeds are old, okay? A lot of things are old. Okay, DE LTAR MA YIN PAR PHAL CHER TSE SNGA MA'I LAS KYI BYAS PA YIN.

Most of them are created by past life. Then he's going to go into a little bit more about habit, bad habit. And we'll start that tomorrow, okay?

Tomorrow morning. After we do some more lion's dance, okay? I just want to let you know, you are welcome to use, we put internet in the retreat valley, okay?

Why? Because there's some dangerous things there. There's snakes.

There can, somebody can fall down. Vivian found a snake, right? I saw, I heard about a photo.

So we had a big board meeting. We discussed for many days. We bought this land because it's the only land in America with no internet.

We're too far from all the cities, you know? Then we had a big fight in the board meeting, you know? What if someone died from snake bite, you know?

Then we decide to put internet. But don't use it, okay? Tomorrow's okay.

You can use it tomorrow. But you came here to have a retreat. Then we're not going to go in your house and see if you're using your phone, okay?

We're not going to have police. Dharma police. Okay?

It has to be yourself, okay? And if you use it, you will have a bad retreat, okay? You might as well stay at home.

Okay, so I suggest you get in the habit, do what you have to do here in the temple. Do your emails, blah, blah, blah. Don't do it in your retreat cabin.

You will get a result number two. Bad habit. You will start to check it in the toilet also.

Okay, so you are here, it's called Diamond Mountain Retreat Center. You are here to do retreat. If you use the internet, you will not have a retreat, okay?

You can't even talk, much less do internet, okay? So I suggest you wait to do your internet when you get here in the next day or two, and then we're going to stop. Then everyone's going to stop.

It's like stopping coffee. I don't know if I can do it, but we'll see. We'll see what we can do, okay?

Any questions? And it can be any subject. I don't care.

And Hasa will decide because...

[Speaker 2]
...

[Speaker 1]
Come on, show off your new English. The only person I know who learned foreign language in two years is Jasmine. I'm so, I'm really jealous of you.

I'm not happy.

[Speaker 2]
Geshe-la, you mentioned coffee meditation can can help our seeds ripen faster, because when we go into sleep, in our consciousness, still seeds ripen. So my question is, why the seeds ripen in our real life? And it's kind of logic, because you meet, it's like the same person, like your parents, your daughter's son, and your colleagues in the company, and you have the stories with them.

The relationship with them is like logic. But in the dream, the seeds ripen kind of crazy.

[Speaker 1]
Totally different.

[Speaker 2]
So what kind of seed we plant will ripen in the real reality, and what kind of seed ripen in the dream? So how can we control our dream? How can we make the dreams happen, some beautiful dreams happen in our real life?

[Speaker 1]
Okay, good question. Very good question. I'll give a couple answers.

One is, during this class, we will discuss good dreams. We will discuss nine ways to make good dreams. Okay, and this is from Buddha.

This is from Lord Buddha. So, during this class, we will reach that part. He mentioned the nine, but he didn't give them.

So I went and got them for you. They are from sutra. So there are nine ways to have beautiful dreams, and we'll cover that.

I was also, recently I was studying, a lot about the six flavors of emptiness, and we made it part of DCI level nine, and we did it in Berlin. The first level nine was in Berlin, and I didn't have time to finish it, but there are six kinds of emptiness. One of the, and they are connected to the four schools of ancient Buddhism, India Buddhism.

So there are four ancient schools. Abhidharma schools, logic schools, mind-only school, middle way school. Middle way school has two parts.

Higher middle way is called Prasangika, lower middle way is called Svatantrika. And what's the difference between the two higher schools, you see? So, middle way school, Majjhimika school, split into two.

And one of the big ideas of the lower middle way school is that, you know, the higher middle way school says all of your experiences are like illusion. This me answering question, and your dreams are the same. Reality is the same.

And then the lower middle way school says, no, no, no. There's a good reality and there's bad reality, okay? Like, this is real.

This conversation is real, and dream is not real, you see? They make a separation. And then the higher school says, no, they are the same.

They are both real. And they are both not real. But they are the same.

What's it mean? What happens when you're awake is coming from seeds in your mind. You know, and it's a little bit logical sometimes.

But then when you sleep and you have dreams, those dreams are coming from the same seeds, you see? They're also coming from the same seeds. You kill somebody in a dream, you rape somebody in a dream.

You have those seeds, okay? You cannot have a dream without seeds. There is no random dream.

There is no crazy dream. If dream is crazy, then real life is crazy. If real life is not crazy, then dream is not crazy, you see?

So, higher middle way school say, everything coming from your seeds. And those terrible dreams, you know, you kill somebody or you're running away from bad people or, you know, I have them also. They are part of you.

They are part of your mind. You have those seeds, yeah? So, the sign that you are becoming a good meditator and a good person, is nine kinds of good dreams.

So, we'll talk about that. We'll talk about nine kinds of good dreams. But in the higher middle way school, your fantasies, the movie you write about your past life that you don't know, the things that come to you in your dream, they are all from the same source as waking life, as this life.

Okay? There's good things here and there's bad things here. They're creating everything, even the dream.

So, in the higher middle way school, dream is real. It doesn't mean you have to confess killing somebody if you kill them in a dream. It doesn't mean that.

It means this waking life is coming from your seeds. And that dream life is also coming from the same seeds. Okay?

So, from that, in that way, the dream and the real life is the same. Sorry. So, we have to learn how to make good dreams.

We will study it. We will study it, yeah. One more short question.

Geshe-la, short depends on you.

[Speaker 2]
Hi Geshe-la, yeah, my key words of question is losing passion of life and because one of my friends, we have good friends for several years and he has a good job, good salary and a girlfriend. But in the recent three months, I talked to him and he thinks that he wants to end up, he wants to quit his job, end up the relationship with his girlfriend and something more crazy ideas.

[Speaker 1]
I think I tried to have a discussion with him to find out the results, the reasons, but he cannot tell the exact reasons. Only thing that he thinks life is boring. He wants to, how to say, live by himself and I don't know how to raise his passions of life again.

Thank you. Okay, good question. So, every time you enjoy something, like you enjoy your work, you know, you're having fun at work and you're having cool ideas at work.

You're having new ideas and the company's doing well. And your relationship is interesting with your partner, your wife or your husband and everything is very nice, especially when you're feeling down. When you first meet them or when you first get your job, then you fight to get the job, then you get the job and you're so happy and you work hard.

Or you meet a man or a woman and you marry them and then first six months or first year is very nice and very interesting and then suddenly they change, you know. The job becomes boring or wife becomes very jealous or angry all the time, you know, and then you feel really bad, you know, like you want to quit this job. It's so boring.

Or you want to get away from this wife or husband. They are so angry or jealous or they are, they are not the person you married, you know, and the problem with, there's three kinds of suffering in Buddhism. Buddhism says three kinds of suffering.

And in the yoga tradition, at the end of the yoga class, you say, shanti, shanti, shanti. Why they say three times, peace, peace, peace? It means, even the yoga teacher doesn't know.

It's about the three kinds of suffering. May I have peace from the first kind of suffering? May I have peace from the second kind of suffering?

May I have peace from the third kind of suffering? So that's why we say shanti three times at the end of, it's from the Upanishad. What's Upanishad mean?

Who said? Yeah, upanishad. Upa means up close, ni means down and shat means sit, so it means to sit at your teacher's feet.

Upa, ni, shat. Anyway, in the Upanishad is there's three shantis, which means three kinds of suffering. May I not have these three kinds of suffering?

First one is called the dunyakidunya. It means a suffering of pain. Suffering of pain.

And then in the scripture they give an example for each one. The suffering of pain example is a backache or a headache. That's a suffering of pain.

Second is called gyurway dunyal. Gyurway dunyal means suffering of change. And the classic example of it in the scripture is a good dinner.

A good tasty dinner. Okay. Is the example of the second kind of suffering.

Why? It will always become suffering. You will get hungry after six hours.

Okay. Always. So that's the problem of interesting job, nice wife, is that the karma to have them is very expensive.

Okay, when you meet your husband or wife or you get an interesting job, it's like you walk into that relationship or you walk into that job with a debit card full of good karma seeds. And then every 10 minutes, it's like Singapore. You have to pay every light you go under in your car.

You know, right? You go under a traffic light, your debit card on the driving, it goes chiking, $3 off, $3 off. When you drive, you think Singapore is small?

You drive around Singapore, chiking, chiking, chiking, chiking. You are losing $3, $4, $5. It's a good system.

Those who drive more pay for the road. You see, those who drive more pay for the road. So every five minutes you are with your interesting wife or your beautiful husband or your interesting job, chiking, your debit card goes down.

Your karma bank account goes down. Each minute costs you many karma seeds to have a good wife or husband or to have a nice job. It's expensive.

You are using up many good deeds, chiking, chiking. You don't do anything. You just live with them.

Or you just go to work, chiking, chiking. Whole day you are losing karma, you see. One Chinese gentleman came here.

We offered him a lot of gifts. He said, no, no, don't give me gifts. I said, why?

He said, I don't want to lose the karma. Then I said, well, that's pretty smart. Okay, so if you don't do anything at all, your husband will get angry person, jealous person.

If you don't do anything at all, you will lose interest in your job. So what do we have to do? Yeah, put more chukung, chukung.

It's going chiking, chiking. Then go chukung, chukung. It means put more good karma on your debit card.

Well, how? Make other people's life more interesting. Okay.

There are many people who have super boring jobs. I have a list of super boring jobs. Like to take the money on the highway, that's unbelievable.

To take the money in the grocery store. You know, hello, how are you? I'm fine, how are you?

I'm fine. That'll be five dollars. Okay, it's five dollars.

Change is 36 cents. Change is 36 cents. Have a nice day.

Have a nice day. You know, they are bored to death. These people are bored to death.

So do little karmas, little tiny karmas. When I'm in the grocery store, I see this lady is doing this thing, job, stupid job. I say, excuse me, and she say, what?

Someone talk to her. She's like, what? I say, okay, my wife and I, we want to go to a movie.

Oh, really? Yeah, what's the best movie you know? Can you tell me what's a good movie?

And make their life a little bit interesting for two minutes. The people behind you will hate you. Oh, oh really?

What happened after that? Oh, in the movie? Yeah.

Then make their life a little bit interesting. And then karma doubles every day. So you are uploading money to your debit card.

So make other people's life more interesting. With your marriage, try to help another person who's having some difficulty in their marriage. Or who has boring marriage.

I think boring is worse than trouble. Personally, trouble is a little bit exciting. But boring is just boring.

You know, I would rather have trouble in my marriage than boring in my marriage. Boring is worse, you see? Find the other person who's losing their passion for their job or their marriage and take them out, give them help, give them support, and then suddenly your marriage become more interesting or your husband become more nice.

You see, you cannot play this game in this room if you don't want to help other people. This game, karma making game, you must find someone else who has trouble. You cannot fix a problem by yourself.

In this room, we are playing karma game. You must help another person who has problem or there's no solution, no possible. It will always get worse.

There's no way to upload money to your debit card unless you help other people. So find someone who has the same problem. That's always the same solution.

Always, always, always. Find someone who has the same problem. I had a woman in, she came to me, she had two miscarriage.

It was in Ukraine when I was there recently and she lost two babies. Then she asked a DCI teacher, what should I do? We said, well, help some other woman who has miscarriage.

So she did. This time when we came, she gave me a photo. I forgot to bring it, but it's the baby's photo.

Very beautiful baby, baby boy, and she helped 150 women online. She made an online miscarriage club and they help each other. She gave me the photo.

I have it in my house because I'm very proud. It's like my baby. So you must find a person who has the same problem.

There's no other way. You cannot sit in this room if you don't want to do that. Then go home.

Be unhappy. You know. You must find another person with the same problem and you must help them.

It's the only way. All right, we'll do mandala.
