[Speaker 1] We're going to do meditation number ten. Okay, here we go. So, this is in the Lam Rim, but it really happened to me. When I was in the monastery, then I lived with an old Geshe from Mongolia, and a very tough guy, and he was blind, but he liked to cook for himself. So, he was very stubborn. There's a DCI joke. I don't know why I have to see this kind of people. So, I lived in his house, and one morning he made himself breakfast, then he was eating some bread, you know? Then he was like this. And then I'm like, Geshe-la, what are you doing? You know? [Speaker 2] He's like ... [Speaker 1] He died. Like that. Okay? So, I put the same picture here. Okay? Number ten. Meditation number ten. Okay? So, we feel like when we die, there will be some preparation time. Like, even if you get in a bad car accident, you can start to do some prayers or something, you know? And it won't come in the middle of ... Death shouldn't come when you're busy. You can say, come later, I'm eating. Let me finish this pizza. Then I'll die. Then you ... people die like this. [Speaker 2] And I saw it. [Speaker 1] It was very hard to get his arm down. And it happens. You can die on every important thing you're doing. You can die in the middle. Or, I don't know, I'm just hoping they won't find me on the toilet, you know? But, lots of people die on the toilet, you know? There's a joke in the monastery. Many people came to the teaching on their legs, and they left the teaching in people's arms. People died during the teaching. So, we don't ... Death comes in the middle of anything. Okay? [Speaker 2] So, we're going to do this meditation. So, get ready. [Speaker 1] I'll give it to you later. So, please relax your eyes, and relax your mouth, and your fingers. Pull in your stomach. Relax your forehead. Take a deep breath in, and release it. And then start to watch your breath. Watch for ten breaths. [Speaker 2] We're going to start a meditation, and we're going to play back the video of today, starting from this morning up to now. [Speaker 1] What things did I do? And try to imagine that you could have died in the middle of any one of them. So, you can imagine yourself dying in the middle of the group picture— very inconvenient for everybody. It's not difficult to imagine dying in the middle of Anatole's yoga class. Okay? [Speaker 2] So, go through each thing you did today, and try to imagine that you died in the middle of each one. [Speaker 1] And we'll stay here for five minutes. Three deep breaths. Take three deep breaths. Take a stretch.
